Evening guys.

What's your top United moment/ experience?
I know it's fraught right now as a united fan but let's change tact, we've an international break to comprehend. Congratulations to Henderson on his call up to the England squad.

My own United highlight. Was the feeling hanging around old Trafford when we won the league after decades. The match was against Blackburn.
I remember schemiechel rocking up in a white golf convertible to be swamped by fans, he was buzzing. I even got to shout something meaningless at him!
We'd turned up hoping to get tickets, we did, ended up paying £350 for 4 tickets off touts. My uncle bought mine. To start with they wanted £525, but the feeling was such, even the touts were caught up in what this night meant.
My word the atmosphere, relief, joy, result and I never thought I'd see the day my United would win the league. I was only 16, and spent most of my time in the Stretford end, or if I was feeling flush E stand (worst seats ever) all this £2.50. It was worth getting up at 5am every week day to do my milk round just to watch united.

I'd love to read what other nights, were the ones for all of you guys!

{Ed047's Note - loving the sound of that Red, what a great memory. 😁

I remember the first time I went to Old Trafford to watch a live match.

My boss and his boss were given 2 corporate tickets and were planning to drive up from Cornwall on the day. One of the guys cars was in the garage for a service, so the other was planning to drive, but his car broker down. So, knowing that I’m a Utd fan, that asked if I’d drive them up there in return for £100 to try and find a ticket off a tout. Needless to say I jumped at the chance.

We arrived, parked up, they gave me the cash and wished me luck and we went our separate ways. I was just wandering around hoping to see someone selling a ticket, with no real idea what I was doing or looking for. I then heard the magical sound of a random guy shouting “ticket for sale”. I ran straight over to him along with about 5 random people all eager to get it, and I said “me, me, me! ” before anyone else said anything, and he said I had asked first so had first refusal. He offered me a ticket for £120, which by pure luck was all the money I happened to have on me. I accepted and the transaction happened. I was absolutely terrified that I’d been done as I didn’t actually know what a legitimate ticket looked like. Absolutely bricking it, I headed to the gates and to my relief walked straight in.

What made it extra special was the electric buzz outside as thousands of Roma fans chanted and shouted, separated from us Utd fans by a wall of police. The air had a strange and nervous feel as if a riot could kick off any minute, as we looked to overturn a 2-1 deficit to reach the semi-finals of the Champions League.

I then watched a masterclass from my heroes as Carrick open the scoring with a 30 yarder, Smith slotted in the second, Rooney the third after mazey run from Ronaldo and a cross from Giggs, then Ronaldo scores a beauty of a goal followed by a tap in for his 2nd, a 2nd worldy is scored by Carrick from 30 yards again, and then Patrice Evra hits the 7th! All whilst sitting within 30 yards of the angry, fenced off Roma fans.

It was without doubt the greatest night of my life up until that point! God dam I miss those days.

Good post mate.

For me it's got to be the FA Cup Semi Final replay against Arsenal at Villa Park in 99.

I remember getting the coach down with my mates then we spent the afternoon in the boozer before KO. I was in my early 20's, didn't have a care in the world and lived for these away days.

What happened over the course of that 120 minutes was the most thrilling spectacle I have ever seen. Red cards, missed penalties and that goal. Nights like that define the history of our Club. It was a truly epic encounter involving two teams both playing at the top of their game. It was a magical night and I still get goose bumps thinking about it even now.

DLIB, I just watched the highlights of that game, sends shivers down the spine. The penalty save and that goal by Giggs!

Even if we never recover this slump, we've had a dam fine ride along the way and those memories can never be taken away.

For me it is the night against Barcelona too.

I remember standing in the Stretford End rather than my seat, so I could experience it that way.

What a game.

What a night.

The 7-1 against Roma will be very hard to beat. It was just wave after wave of attacks. Relentless. We’ve not played like that in years.

The semi final FA cup replay vs Arsenal. Giggs scoring.

Two memories for me. First that semi final v arsenal in 99. My cousin got me a ticket but he was an arsenal supporter so I had to sit in the arsenal end. When Becks scored I stood up and cheered. Pure instinct. They came from twenty rows on either side to beat the crap out of me. I got little protection from the stewards who belatedly came and then ejected me from the ground. I missed that goal by giggs and then had to wait outside for my cousin to drive him home! Second memory is of watching the final of the Champions League that season with my twelve year old son who after 70mins turned to me and said that we had no chance of winning. I half agreed but told him that we are UTD and we don't ever give up. Fast forward 20 odd mins and father and son have o e of those very very special once in a lifetime moments as Sheringham and Ole do the business.
