Greenwood is one hell of a talent, two super finishes tonight. 6 for the season already and only turned 18. Off all our forward players he is by far the most clinical.

Caolan he is the only natural cf in our squad. His movement around the box is excellent.
He needs time to develop. Once he fills out and if he develops his back to goal game he can become a really really good cf. 2 feet and a natural settlers instinct.

Thats why i don't get why would we go for another young striker. We need a exp head in Cavani or Lew otherwise its no point buying a young player unless Martial wants to leave.

The RvP comparison is a good one.

I would still bring in another striker. Rashford is better cutting in from the left. Greenwood is just 18 and needs to be managed correctly so we don't burn the lad out. Martial still blows hot and cold and picks up two many injuries so another forward would be good.

He should be starting ahead of Martial. Martial has not progressed at all since he signed. He lacks the consistency, work rate and drive to be the main striker. Good finisher, but offers nothing else. There’s a reason he hasn’t played for France in nearly two years.

My preference would be to sell Martial and bring in another striker to compete with Mason.

Mort, i think next season if we have 2 specialist strikers mason plus 1 other. James rash and sancho that we would be very well covered. Rash can be 3rd choice cf and mason 4th choice wide player where he started last night. Plus Jesse in an emergency.
Martial is that 1 other striker at the moment is on a very good long term contract and is in my opinion improving somewhat and is making more of a contribution this season for sure.

As a player he just doesn't suit my eye at all. Of course he has good attributes and shows good ability at times but there is something about him and the way he plays that doesn't sit well with me. As a player i wouldn't like to play with him and as a spectator i mostly don't like watching him.

I watch every game willing him to score and do well and hope to see what many others see but i just end up frustrated watching him most of the time.
Id be delighted to see him show the form for a sustained period that would change my opinion.

Ken I totally agree with you on martial. Something just seems to be missing. He seems to lack that desire to reach very top compared to say Ronaldo or Beckham had. They had that drive to improve and I think martial lacks that.

I think rashford and James are our wide options and that we'll bring another in and greenwood can cover there. But greenwoods just 18 and we shouldn't overload him. I don't want to see him like owen all burnt out by his mid 20s. We needs one other, two if martial goes.
