In an ideal world, which would you prefer, a 100% committed Pogba or offload him and replace with Saul?
Personally, if Pogba wants to be at utd and is 100% committed, I'd take him over Saul.

{Ed004's Note - If Pogba is not fully set on being here and doesn't agree a new contract then without a shadow of a doubt Saul}

"100% committed Pogba" There is no such thing. He has had 4 years to pull his finger out and act like a proper footballer. He has amply demonstrated that he doesn't have it in him.

Hmm, tricky one. Pogba has the higher ceiling but how often does he show it. Plus I think with Bruno now at the club Saul seems a more natural fit in our midfield than Pogba.

So probably Saul.

I think Pogba can be a special player, but we could do without the drama and the media circus he and his agent attract. I would go for Saul regardless as i think he fits our needs better, now that we have Bruno in the team.

Consistency is the key to success.
So obviously it will be Saul.

The trio of Bruno, Saul and McTominay will be a dream midfield.
With Matic and Fred to deputize.

Would you like a player who has been asking to leave for the last three years or a player that might actually want to play for the club?

Tough choice.

6.) 20 May 2020
20 May 2020 14:06:41
Does Saul want to play for Utd?

{Ed002's Note - Saul Niguez will consider his options - possibly priced out of a move to Bayern Munich but Manchester City remain keen. Juventus and Manchester Utited are options but Pogba could influence their interest.}

7.) 20 May 2020
20 May 2020 14:12:01
A 100% Pogba would be an unbelievable bonus to the team but MancMan absolutely nailed it, Pogba is all about Pogba. No way should we even entertain his antics any longer. Therefore, Saul if possible.

Ed002 saul is on a long term contract at AM has there been issues and that's why he wants to leave or is it a case of looking for bigger deal.

{Ed002's Note - No there are no issues with the player.}

Pogba over saul for me, andre gray actually had some interesting comments on pogba, seems to be highly rated amongst his peers for some reason above and beyond what fans seem to project onto him.

Also would like to put out there that if we can't get sancho or any right sided forward for that matter it might be in the teams interest to sign a centre mid (doesnt have to be saul but he would be the best option) instead.

The reason for this being that we could opt for a split striker system that ole has tried out a few time this season. Whether that is 5-3-2 or 4-4-2 diamond. Playing two of rashford, martial or greenwood as split strikers could be a great system for us especially with bruno in number 10.

Thanks Ed002!

I think we need to be very careful about signing players that are not fully committed to the team.

Sounds like Saul may possibly have better options than Utd. I suppose a lot will depend on if the season can be finished and who finishes in the Champions League places.

A decision on Pogba needs to be made sooner rather than later.

I think City are at CAS on the 8th June so the outcome of that may be pivotal to our summer recruitment.

Pogba hasn’t shown what most would consider 100% commitment so far so why would this particular leopard change it’s spots now. If there’s an opportunity to sign Saul we should go all out for him. Fantastic talent. 25. Walks into ANY midfield in Europe for me. Agree he’d complement Bruno well. Moreover he’s a signing that would considerably strengthen City or Liverpool for example who we are already way behind on.

Ideally we get cash for Pogba and use it to buy Saul without making a dint on whatever kitty we have available for other targets such as Sancho, Bellingham and Grealish .

20 May 2020 16:20:10
If City don’t serve at least 1 year ban FIFA/ UEFA may as well just jack it all in as makes FFP a complete shambles.

14.) 20 May 2020
20 May 2020 16:33:16
It really is simple. Do you think Pogba's performances over the past three years have been as good or better than those of Saul?

I don't think so. Pogba has had four years to make his mark, and he has been underwhelming most of the time with occasional world class performances every 6 or 7 games just to remind you what he can do.

Time to cut the ties and move on. Be that to Saul, or whoever else.

Serious question here, if everyone is fully fit and we have an away game in a European knock competition having drawn the first leg 0-0. We need to win the game. Does Pogba make the first 11 over Bruno, McTominay, Fred and Matic in either a 433 or 4231 formation?

15.) 20 May 2020
20 May 2020 16:36:58
If City are going to miss out on Eurpean football for a year, next year would probably be the best for them. Fans more than likely won't be able to attend any games. Any of their players that may want to leave because of no Champions League can't go anywhere because spending will be limited.

But something tells me they'll be playing in the competition next year.

Pogba, the writing has been on the wall for nearly 2 years. What ever about selling at a loss might be hard to swallow for the club. To me, paying him 300k a week for him to disrespect the club on a regular basis is a lot harder to swallow.

Mumbles, the ban will be overturned. From what I've heard the "evidence" was obtained illegally so will be inadmissible in CAS court. Meaning there is little evidence to support banning City.

While I think City will have a huge advantage over the last part of this season and probably going into next season. After all they are the only side accustomed to playing in an empty stadium 😂.

17.) 20 May 2020
20 May 2020 17:02:33
Yes for me Shappy. Def over Fred.

18.) 20 May 2020
20 May 2020 17:33:20
Shappy, would you not think UEFA would have looked at their case very carefully before banning City?

They must be confident as are City but I don't think it's as cut and dry as you think.

19.) 20 May 2020
20 May 2020 18:13:12
mbd, is that the same Fred who was arguably MotM against PSG away last season? Or McTominay who was arguably as good?

Pogba has rarely played in our biggest victories. Strange that considering the accepted logic is he is our best outfield player.

Mumbles, it's all hearsay, and its only what I've heard but as it hasn't come from one of the lawyers involved in the case then who knows. They have a date in June now, so we won't have long to wait and find out. I suspect it will be overturned.

20.) 20 May 2020
20 May 2020 19:20:54
Shappy, you mean the game where we got battered, and our goals came from a kehrer backpass, buffon spill and dodgy kimpembe handball.

Thats the game you pick to shows fred should be picked over pogba in a big game. Dear me lol.

I could probably pick 25 games fred has played in where he treats the ball as if his first touch is socially distancing from it. On that alone pogba walks in ahead of him.

On mctominay, physically very good but he has an obvious flaw to his game that needs addressing, he hardly takes on any risk when passing the football, which explains why we had so much trouble breaking teams down with him and fred in midfield.

21.) 20 May 2020
20 May 2020 19:26:55
Also should probably add we have won a europe league final, league cup final and wembley cup semi final (bossed moussa dembele that game) against spurs with pogba in the team.

Also city away (brace), arsenal away (fa cup), spurs away (pass for rashford), chelsea away (goal and assist) . But these probably aren't considered big games according to you shappy.

Must have missed all these massive champions league knockout games we have won since pogba joined apart from psg.

Pogba is clearly our best player and constantly puts in good performances but people seem to hold him to a different level to the other players. Last season he was leading for almost all of our attacking statistics despite being a central midfielder but somehow this still isn't enough.

In 2 out of the 4 (been injured this season so obviously can't make the team) seasons he's been here he makes the whoscored PL team of the season. In the other season where he doesn't make the team of the season he was statistically the third best cm in the league and the 9th best player overall. There should be no question of what he brings to the field constantly a creative force for our team whilst I must be does sometimes ignore his defensive duties.

Regarding his attitude which is constantly described as toxic in the dressing room and so on. It's funny that all of these opinions come from news stories and pundits who judge from the outside and don't actually know the person. People see his hair cuts, dancing and social media presence and go at him since players apparently have to be robots.

Fair enough Jose came out and publicly spoke about his attitude however Ole, Didier Deschamps, Antonio Conte haven't seemed to have any sort of these issues with him. Whilst, Jose has historically fallen out with big name players Hazard, Ramos, Luis etc with the latest being N'dombele.

23.) 21 May 2020
21 May 2020 08:03:13
Considering current scenerio. i think there are good chance that Chelsea and Leicester will drop points. if we manage to get our act together and ride our luck, there are good chance, we can reach top 4 out right. let's hope things goes perfect.

24.) 21 May 2020
21 May 2020 11:38:57
If you don't read the headlines etc and judge every player on what they actually do on the pitch instead of what you expect of them, pogba is consistently one of our best players.

25.) 21 May 2020
21 May 2020 16:12:27
Shappy, yes for that same fred, the one who takes 400 shots in 1 match and still doesn't hit the target.

26.) 21 May 2020
21 May 2020 16:45:20
So your saying pogba doesn't perform to your high standards enough but Fred does Shappy? That's another blinder from you.

27.) 21 May 2020
21 May 2020 20:55:12
Jred and Manchester is Red, I have no idea which footballer you have been watching but it can't be Pogba.

Being a good footballer is about being effective in the 90 minutes on the pitch.

Has Pogba been effective? Rarely. Has Fred been effective? You'd have to say that after settling in, he has been consistently.

28.) 22 May 2020
