Ighalo stays. I'll take that. He's proved a few wrong and I hope he will continue to do so. Could be very smart business and it enables greenwood to continue developing.

Really happy with this. It will be interesting to see if the club looks to sign someone like Dembele or Werner as well this summer. I doubt they will.

I highly doubt they will, although Ed002 would know more than us. With ighalo, martial, rashford, greenwood and then Bruno and pogba (who knows if he will stay) we have a very exciting group of attackers. If we could add sancho then that would be fantastic. we shall have to wait and see on that one. Let's hope we get the best of these players, if we do it could be very exciting.

{Ed002's Note - I don't really think much has changed at the moment and the club will look to to prioritise. Previously a DM would have been a target, but a new contract for Matic has delayed the immediate need. A versatile left sided CM/AM (ideally Jack Grealish) is still wanted. There is interest in the future with interest in Jude Bellingham remaining but a move being unlikely right now. Joe Hugill being taken as an option to Gelhardt. The club need to decide what to do about adding a striker with Odion Ighalo being the low cost option post his loan ending in January. There are other youngsters the club have an interest in and could still look to cherry-pick like Ricky-Jade Jones and Kalvin Phillips. Then the issue shifts to players departing to make space. Saul Niguez (CM) interest will have gone if Pogba decides to run down his contract next season because the club are holding him to ransom and may have no Champions League - and there is interest from elsewhere. A decision needs to be made as Manchester United may have the chance to replace Pogba with Saul but they continue to make matters difficult for themselves. The situation with Sancho remains unchanged - although I expect Juventus to offer a selection of players in exchange for Pogba and that will include Douglas Costa and Rabiot amongst others.}

Thanks Ed002, I really wish people would read between the lines on your posts. This is great information.

Hi ed002.
Just on Saul.
He has apparently come out and said he will name his new club in 3 days. I'm not sure how reliable that report is.
I would have thought that any buying club would want to make that announcement so it sounds suspect to me.
With the season still ongoing or just about to restart an announcement like that could unsettle both AM and any potential buying club unless their season was over.
Do you think or know if a deal is done for Saul with a club or do you think these reports are just a load of hype and 'fake news'

{Ed002's Note - I am not answering questions about Twitter.}

Thanks ed002. This will be an interesting summer for a lot of reasons.

Most likely its something commercial / marketing related like the guys have said. I don't think Saul is one for a Zlatan / griezmann-esque ego trip. Especially when the season is not anywhere near finished.

Stinks of BS to me.

If the people at Utd don't take the options of moving on Pogba and signing Saul then they are bigger idiots than I thought and that's saying something. Let's hope they see some sense.

Considering the finances involved in signing a player like Saul, would a club even commit to such a massive deal when the whole transfer market is likely to be effected by the virus.

The times are reporting today that united are still interested in signing a striker despite getting ighalo on loan. Choices being the standard : dembele, jiminez or werner. can't see it being true myself, I think this deal will be the end of any striker talk for 6 months at least.

People seem to be suggesting the Saul Niguez announcement will be an e-sports team which would make sense tbf.

I wouldn't expect "interest" in a striker to go, but urgency to sign one will.
