Hello everyone

With the season over (except for the Europa) who is Player of the season this year?

I think Rashford and Martial hve done really well but I think Aaron Wan-Bissaka gets my vote for his consistency and fitness.

Most of our other top performers have had a significant time injured and out of the team and AWB hasn't had many if any bad games that I can recall f the top of my head.

Fernandes without a shadow of a doubt. Take him out of the team and we are languishing around 10th.

Bruno.
Everybody was crap before he came tbf awb was steady all season but if bruno had not signed martial / rash or anybody else would all have continued to struggle. So bruno gets my vote.

Let me see, the four players I would vote for would be
1.Bruno
2.Miguel
3.Borges
4.Fernandes
but besides those lol I would say AWB has been steadily good all season, Martial and Rashford have not.

But he has only been here for half a season so I didn't go for him. Bruno has been fantastic.

Rashford, people forget how desperate things were in november. Rashford stepped up and put in some top performances in that crucial december period.

That week where we beat spurs at home and city away potentially saved oles job and rashford was quality in both.

Bruno or AWB.

One player has transformed us so Bruno, no question.

{Ed004's Note - Rashford for me followed by Martial or Awb. No doubt it would've been Bruno if he was here all season}

AM has been a revelation. That sulky moodiness and lack of engagement has almost completely gone from his game. He has shown work and effort, quality finishing, commitment to win the ball and work with rashford as a pair. My view on him has totally swung around over the course of the season.

Rashford was always one of my fav players. Still is.

Bruno has transformed the whole team.

Greenwood second half has completely changed the balance down our right.

Early on Fred and McTom were solid and dependable (remember them bossing the city game. When we needed a solid performance)

As the season has progressed our captain has brought more confidence at the back.

Such a team journey this year. I would probably go for Martial. Biggest improvement, give him some credit. Hopefully he kicks on again next year.

Would have said Rashford but since the restart he has been the worst player on the pitch for most games. He has simply not found his form back since his injury.

For the 2nd half of the season you would have to say that there would be a few candidates.
Bruno with martial and greenwood the other standouts in terms of contribution. Matic Shaw and awb get honourable mentions for me.
In the 1st half rashford awb and mctom were the best of a very poor bunch.

Shan, we get it, you don't like rashford. But that is so out of wack, worst player since restart? Do me a favour 😂.

Ok angel you tell me a worse player on the pitch since the restart.

I don't like rating players worst to best but since the restart
Ddg, fred, maguire, lindelof, mctom
Williams james were all making a lesser contribution than rash imo shan and all were below their form before the season stopped imo.
Yes was not at his best and below his pre injury form but was above average for me in most games.
Still has plenty to learn but i do like his attitude so i think he will learn.

DDG for one, Maguire another. There's two for you 😂 ken named a couple more.

Blinded by your dislike of a player rash.

Still managed to get that big goal against Palace despite not being as good since lockdown, he was still decent though, just didn’t hit the heights from before his pretty horrible injury so not a huge surprise.

Maguire for me. Defended like a Trojan and lead like a leader. If he came through the ranks you'd love him. Just because he cost bit. Could you imagine if it was Smalling and Jones.

You won't get many agreeing with you Redhope. But I think he has done alright.

Has he got weaknesses? Yes

But since he came in we look a lot better at the back, with more improvement to come.

I also don't know where his attacking headers at corners have gone, lad could have had about 8 more goals this season if he brought his Leicester heading form for corners and freekicks.

Hope he continues to develop and grow. I know he is not everyone's favourite, but he is still pretty good for me.

I think we forget that even legends like Rio and Vidic had errors in them.

DB and redhope. I think maguire gets into every staying 11 in the prem with the exception of Liverpool perhaps.

But he did make a few errors since lockdown and he was exposed a few times so to answer shans Q of who did worse than rash since restart maguire is one.

I think he has been ok he has helped our defence but because he cost more than vvd that's who is will be compared to by many and to be honest its not a fair comparison vvd is world class maguire is not.

We paid massively over the odds and as a result maguire will be compared to defenders he is in same price bracket as.

Its not his fault we paid 80m.

Hi Ed. Fair go but the galvanising effect Bruno has had in that half short is quite astounding.

I think that's pretty fair Ken. I think people would be saying Maguire is a total unquestionable success if we paid 40m for him last summer.

We often get our pants pulled down when it comes to transfer fees. Since Sir Alex has retired we have spent over 1bn on around 400m pounds worth of talent.

That's without factoring in the willy nilly approach we have made to recruitment, buying without a plan.

I think Maguire could be a good player for us, he has already been decent. I think he would look better in the RCB role with AWB protecting him rather than Shaw pushing forward and leaving him exposed at times.

Has to be Bruno. He was the catalyst, the main reason we finished 3rd. Without him our team probably would have stayed anywhere between 5th-9th. He was that important. How it can be anyone else baffles me.
