Tuttosport said that Pogba's negotiations with Juventus are going to restart. Is there a possibility for him to leave or it is another Raiola's "game" in order to make ManUtd to extend his contract sooner?
In my opinion, a sale for him would be good for the club, so Sancho's transfer to become more viable.

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea what you mean by "game".}

Ideal world sees Pogba and probably Fred leave with Sancho and Saul coming in. Can't see that happening though.

Saul as well as VdB? No chance as great is it would be.

That would give us the best midfield Shappy.
Bruno, VDB and Saul.

Ed are United now trying to move him on?
Seems strange after apparently not answering to inquiries about him earlier.

Thanks for the info.

{Ed002's Note - I have explained the situation on multiple occasions.}

Pogba wants to leave, he has for at least 2 years probably longer. He has a year left on his contract. The club have three options. Sell him this summer. Let him leave for free next summer. Or make him stay at the club for the next two years then leave for free.

The fact that DvdB was one of three players the club had their eye on as a replacement for Pogba means that with him signed they can at least entertain the idea of selling Pogba this summer.

However if they do then the club will need to improve quality in depth in creative midfield. As if Pogba leaves that means we only have Bruno and DvdB who can create in midfield. We would need a third option.

I think the Ed said previously Pogba wants to leave and his preference go back to Juventus but the amateurs have not treated him well. I wonder if Juve have the cash to buy him so may offer a player. My worry is Douglas Costa, that would be a big error for me.

If Pogba wants to go, let him but get as good a deal as we can.

Red man, I don't think Juventus have the money we would want for Pogba.

Which leaves one of two options.

Firstly, accept a lower amount. Pogba has a year left on his contract, realistically how much is he worth? In 5 months time he can sign a pre-contract with a club outside of England. So is 30-40m maybe about right?

Second option would be to accept a player plus cash deal. The issue with this though is would we be getting a player we really need or want? Are they good enough or declining?

I agree I think Douglas Costa would be a bad signing. He has been injured more often than not, and mostly average when he has played. The same could be said for Aaron Ramsey. Alex Sandro is nearly 30 and declining.

Realistically the players I'd consider from Juventus are Demiral who looks a fantastic prospect at CB. However, I'm not sure he is quite the right type of CB we need to partner Maguire. Bentancur has been excellent for them, but with Fred and McTominay at the club I'm not sure where a box to box player like him fits in our squad. Kulusevski would be a player I'd take in a heartbeat, but I can't see Juventus moving him on without him playing for them.
The only other player I'd consider is Paulo Dybala. Although I still have a couple of reservations with him. Firstly, his demands the other year when he didn't really want to leave Juventus were excessive. I'd be concerned he doesn't really want to move to us. Considering the issues we have had with players who don't want to be here I'd be reluctant to bring in another who doesn't really want to be here. The other concern I'd have is as a left footed CF/ RW he would be in direct competition with Greenwood.

Although the fan in me would love to see us play 424 with Rashford, Martial, Dybala and Greenwood playing in a rotating front four. Getting it to work though would be difficult.

We are asking Dortmund to be realistic on price with a 20 year old on a long contract, so we can hardly expect to recoup the money on Pogba with only 1 year remaining. If the player wants to go, let him go. I would take £40m and move on. Costa would be a mistake. I think Dybala would be like DiMaria, not really want to be at Utd.
