We are surely not going ahead with the release of the zebra kit today?

Beckham is already styling it out, so I would say yes.

Are clubs contractually obliged to wear the third kit a certain number of times? Or would this kit only appear if the first and second kits clashed with the home side?

{Ed002's Note - There is no contractual obligation to wear the alternate kit.}

I quite like the shirt but its the shorts being the same design I hate, black shorts would be better.

I'd be lion if I said I liked it :-)

and the grey second kit isn't much better.

Think the second kit is officially green.

The badge on the black kit looks green. A gold and green kit would have been good.

The players will wear whit shorts and socks with red trim. the zebra print shorts and socks are a fan alternative only. Thank god 🙌.

{Ed001's Note - it does seem odd choosing a pattern that nature designed to make it difficult to see against a background. Surely you want a football shirt to stand out proud against the backdrop so players can see each other? I mean when those fluorescent coloured shirts were in fashion a while back, there were regularly problems with players passing to a steward on the sidelines because they just saw the colour in the corner of their eye. Anyone would think the manufacturers are only interested in how many they can sell rather than making the best shirt for the team to play in.}

Maybe we can use the ‘we couldn’t see each other out there’ excuse. it’s happened before 🤣.

I think we've given up improving our defence and instead will try to hide the goal :D.

I don't get the hate. Looks fine to me. I wouldn't wear it, but then I wouldn't wear any football shirt aside from when playing football.

Spot on Ed001, Just don't understand what kind of thoughts the designer's put in.
Doesn't please aesthetically at all.

{Ed001's Note - it will sell though and that is what matters.}

ED001, think the shirt was specifically request by certain players who want to make it easier for them to go missing in big games.

{Ed001's Note - thanks for that, I nearly choked on my cuppa laughing at that!}

To be fair it might be tough to pick out against a crowd but there won’t be one, the players are more likely to blend in with the red seats in the home games, so if there was any season that this would work it’s this one.

Nope who am I kidding, dreadful.

Maybe the club were told it was new technology, the first “stealth” football shirt and the opposition wouldn’t see our players as they made runs into the box. Someone forgot our players would not see them either. From memory it bears a passing resemblance to that awful jacket Giggs wore after the first league win

It’s a leisure shirt for down the beach, not a football shirt. Maybe we are entering a beach football league?

Its manky. simple. The old 1977 away kit is still my favourite. White top with 3 black stripes on 1 side black shorts and socks. I remember my mother having to steal it from my bedroom to wash it because i never took it off. I was only 9 and didn't sweat much😂😂.

That was a great top Ken. Always makes me think of the Greenhof brothers and a midweek night game against Lpool I think. back in the days when Sportsnight on BBC showed about 15 minutes of highlights in total for any games played that night or the night before.
