Holy rubbish with Ericsen, hope he is ok.

Looks like he's stable. Having the amazing medical staff there is probably what saved his life.

Likely they will have a defibrillator close and medically it makes a huge difference. Everything crossed he is ok.

Looks like he was awake when he left the field which has to be a good sign.
Full credit to the medical staff and to Kjaer, first on the scene to clear his airway and comforted his wife who understandably looked distraught.

I thought it was in poor taste at first, but being reported both teams wanted to play on after hearing he was OK.

As long as it was the players choice and not forced upon them by the powers that be, then fair enough to finish off the game. Just goes to show that players aren’t robots and the intense nature of this past season could have a negative affect on some, no matter how fit they normally are.

The BBC are reporting that manager stated the choice was to finish the game tonight or to play tomorrow at midday. The Danish team made their decision after hearing the update from hospital.

Neither was fair to the Danish team who must have been emotionally drained by that point

I can understand why the Danish players wanted to get it done though because after everything where they expected to get a night's sleep to prepare then to play tomorrow?
