Ed, is there any interest in Kieran Tierney or is that just Scottish pub talk?

Believable0 0Unbelievable

{Ed007's Note - There's always interest in KT but the Club don't want to sell and the lad has no intentions of leaving Celtic for long time yet.}

Good morning ed002
Have Utd shown any interest in defender Ozan Kabak?
Thanks for your time.

Believable0 0Unbelievable

{Ed002's Note - Ozan Kabak is a young centre back who has signed a new contract with Galatasaray so any immediate move is unlikely - and to boost his value - but much is expected of Kabak and he has attracted scouts from Manchester City, RB Leipzig, Arsenal, Fortuna Dusseldorf, Manchester United and, in particular, Inter Milan whose interest (together with Manchester City) led to the new contract. Should stay where he is or look to Germany - otherwise he would be lost at any English side.}

Will Mourinho be sacked before January?

Or will the board back him?

Who is a suitable replacement, Zidane did well at RM, could he rebuild a team? Who knows.

Jardim did quite well at Monaco. would he be a good choice?

Trying to get Pochittino is like trying to sell rice to the chinese.

Mourinho has got the team playing how it should be, he is at fault for that. The players are also guilty and some have been unprofessional aka Instagram likes of 'sack Mourinho'.

Do we sell a fee players in January to start a summer rebuild.

A DOF is a certainly going to be key.

Europa football next year might prove to be difficult to qualify for.

This is o e rollercoaster ride I can't wait to get off.

FZZ,

For a fee, I can be a thing you want ;)

If we can't get top 4, which let's face it, we won't, then I'd rather we didn't qualify for the Europa League. A new manager is going to need time to make his mark, and it would only be a distraction - gives him more time on the training pitch with them between league games.

So Smalling has signed a new contract.
If this is the best the club can do considering the state we are in, the future is indeed bleak.
Another step towards snuffing out the light at the end of the tunnel.

Believable15 0Unbelievable

16 Dec 2018 15:20:29
I hear you DW20 but of the three amigos I would prefer Jones and Rojo to leave before Smalling.

Agree6 1Disagree

16 Dec 2018 15:35:04
As a squad player Smalling will be good but he is just as reckless as the other two but the other two are more injury prone.

Agree1 3Disagree

16 Dec 2018 20:29:28
Utd road
Best if all 3 left together.
I am just hoping that Smalling is the only one of the 3 that gets a new contract
I suppose if the club is now thinking smaller, Smalling is the most appropriately named mascot to keep!

All mentioned destined to see this club slide down the table!

Just not good enough!

Complete overhaul starting with the management/ coaching is required but the team that outplayed us yesterday have already proven that takes time and astute management and even they are not there really yet - I don’t expect them to win premiership nor do most!

Not sure if Barcelona are after Pogba or ever were, but could a swap deal with Dembele be done?

Believable0 0Unbelievable

{Ed025's Note - swap deals very seldom happen im afraid CSF,,

15 Dec 2018 15:35:45
Was the Mina and Gomes swap for Pogba last summer bull?

Agree0 0Disagree

{Ed025's Note - probably mate, i would imagine agents would frown upon it as they would lose their cut of the transfer fee..

15 Dec 2018 15:59:41
Given the stories of dembeles attitude why swap one disruptive influence for another?

Agree5 0Disagree

15 Dec 2018 23:18:51
Dembele seems like childsplay compared to Pogba. I’d swap the two for toffee.

Everyone wants to draw Manchester United on Monday. Reads the bb* headline.
So this what we have become now.

Hope we draw one of the so called big teams and best them.

Pointless story. We are always news As we are the biggest draw.

We really need to sell Jones, Rojo, Valencia, Pogba, Fellaini in January.

It might sound drastic but they offer very little, in particular Pogba aka le sulk.

I honestly don't know why Jones is still at the club. He is a championship player. Slow, lacks mobility and has a poor technique. Similar attributes to Lukaku. Even finishes like Lukaku.

What happened to players running into space, looking for a pass, running through on goal.

I would have liked to see Greenwood and Garner get 10-15 minutes past night.
It would have be far more valuable and beneficial to them.

If we play like we did last night against Valencia when we play Liverpool, we might just end up getting stuffed.

Imagine the fun Salah, Firmini and Sane would have playing against Jones.

Believable4 8Unbelievable

13 Dec 2018 15:00:55
What about in addition to this the novel idea of the coach “coaching” the players and making them better not worse?

How come every signing we make gets worse than when they joined and instantly regrets coming to the club?

Almost feel sorry for Fred, he has made an awful career move.

Agree8 1Disagree

13 Dec 2018 16:34:35
In the case of jones you can't fix stupid.

I'm sure Fred will be fine under the next manager if the bean counter can actually get an appointment right.

I don’t get why Jose has been so bad. He was a winner until he joined us!

No manager will be a league winner with this squad eric.
Does anybody here think we have a squad capable of winning the league?

Agree4 4Disagree

14 Dec 2018 09:50:52
I agree Ken we don't have a squad good enough to win the league however why is that.
We have bought 11 players under the manager that's an entire new team. Currently he inherited a great GK has bought his own players for 3 of the back 4 positions, an entire new 3 man midfield, a striker and a wideman .
Many players people feel maybe aren't good enough are still go to players and if they are given new deals it's hard to blame the tools he was left .

Agree3 3Disagree

14 Dec 2018 12:42:44
A lot of the buys have been bad though. Fred could be a good player but currently doesn't fit. Pogba on paper is top class but doesn't fit. I think it was shappy who gave us a statistical breakdown on his performance the other night. Sanchez on paper a good player but doesn't fit. And that's the three most obvious without touching lukaku, bailly etc. We still lack a commanding centre half, tempo setting midfielder and a right sided attacker.

Should be a team capable of beating Brighton and the rest, and should be higher than 6th as well.

Agree1 0Disagree

14 Dec 2018 19:03:53
I agree with that noucamp. I think 2nd was a huge over achievement last season. With our squad anything between 4th and 6th is about par.
Spurs pool and cuty have better squads and a much better 11.

Or you could argue that second place is the level we would expect to be at with nearly a new team of signings and umpteen millions spent, and that for some reason we've regressed this season.

Garner and greenwood trained with first team today.

Believable2 1Unbelievable

11 Dec 2018 16:28:18
They have also travelled with the first team. The under 19s are playing but maybe this is a sign they will be with the first team? Be interesting. Mason looks one hell of a talent.

11 Dec 2018 23:54:46
Jose has said Garner will be on the bench and Greenwood will be 19th man in case someone gets injured. Shame for him as I think he deserves a game based on his form this season even if he’s not quite ready.

Do United still hold interest in Mourinho's summer targets such as the likes of Perisic and Alderweireld? Or can we expect a compromise of sorts due to other's clear resistance at signing 'older' players?

If Mourinho is to stay then surely the board either need to go after his targets, or Mourinho is made to shift his approach and target different players which would completely go against who he is and the type of player he has targeted historically.

Can we expect to see any youth players step up as the season progresses or will that purely be down to any injuries to first-team players?

Believable1 0Unbelievable

05 Dec 2018 10:45:22
I suspect we will have a very quiet January window due to the uncertainty of the managers position. We might see a player or two leave if the right offers cone in for the right players (Darmian, Rojo ect maybe) .

But I don't see any significant players joining, at most maybe a youngster or two for the academy.

Agree5 1Disagree

05 Dec 2018 15:08:56
I think the same Shappy. When the January window closes we will have a good idea as to Mourinho’s fate.

Agree0 0Disagree

05 Dec 2018 15:34:45
I think if a player who is of top quality becomes avaliable such as alderweireld we would still go in for him because even if a new manager comes in, he's not the type of player who can't adapt to a new manager.

But agree we should use the january window to get rid of players. Romero, valencia, young, smalling, jones, rojo, herrera, matic, fellaini, periera, sanchez, darmian etc would probably be for sale before you even get to players who want to leave such as pogba bailly and martial.

Agree0 1Disagree

05 Dec 2018 18:02:40
I think we could see a much busier January window in general than previous years. With the summer window shutting early I think there were lots of potential deals not completed because the selling clubs were reluctant to lose players with little time to replace them.
I guess time will tell, eh.
