Ed001, thanks for your insight. Will be interesting to see if Moyes will shake up the academy side of things.

Eds has Ed02 completely abandoned us? I miss his/her input and inside info. I know he/she has been busy but someone must have really upset them (not me for quite some time with my libellous statements). Will we benefit from there editing/input again? I'm willing to do any brown nosing to get them back.
On another note after the farce of the transfer window, with SAF and Gill exiting (along with Martin Ferguson, but no coincidence, ahem) what relationships will exist with say Moyes and Woodward coming in and football agents and other top european clubs alike? I know Moyes would already have relationships with agents but he's on another level now. Do they have to start from scratch so to speak? I't might seam a strange question but in business relationships and the "it's who you know and not what you know" that can make a difference. {Ed044's Note - The Ed has moved on already.}
Sorry to ask, but moved on from being one of the eds or moved on from whatever episode? {Ed044's Note - He is not answering any questions on the Manchester United page.}
That's a shame thanks anyway ed.

Eds could you run a poll on who do MUFC fans feels should be sold? {Ed007's Note - The thing with that is that people only get one vote, it wouldn't really be a fair result, and who goes on the list? I could name 4/5 players that I think should be sold (and that's before I would mention Evra) but I wouldn't like to pick only one of them.}
Another problem is people on here struggle to understand it is a squad game these days and players who people think are not good enough for the first XI, they want to sell. You cannot have a squad of 25 world-class players. We wouldn't have won Jack sh1t without the likes of Phil Neville, Nicky Butt, Brown, O'Shea, Fletcher, Evans etc. If we are stocked in a certain position then there will be players who could be sold, but you cannot sell players just because they are not good enough for a regular starting spot in the first XI. It is a squad game after all.
We have too many squad players!
Preferring giggs over and over is a clear indication of the squad not being great. Spurs, City have better squads than us.
Spurs have a better squad of midfielders, that's it.
City have a better first XI "possibly", they don't have a better squad.
We shall see Sydney, the season is long and will put to bed all these debates. I reckon there are 5 or 6 players in our squad, who our rivals would not touch, so this idea of having a great squad is a novel idea, but then again you seem to believe you are absolutely correct on all your views and will not accept the fact that this is an old team at the core with very little pace and creativity.
If we actually compete for the Pl title, I will take my hat off to DM.
Shahram, you clearly have a very short memory. Only 3-4 month's ago we were crowned champions for the 20th time. It's the exact same squad with a fully fit Vidic, "hopefully" a revitalised Rooney & Nani and we have brought in Fellaini & Zaha. The younger players are another year older and each have an EPL medal.
You are a very negative lad Shahram, a flapper if you will. You only see negative with your own team, but positives from rival teams. You are not the only one on this site, but you are a serial negative Nellie and you will be proved wrong again when we will not only compete to win the EPL, we will win the league come May.
Syd
That's a bit harsh mate, I think Shahram regularly makes good constructive posts. Disagreeing with you does not make him negative. I often give the neg heads a hard time but I don't believe we have the strongest squad. That doesn't make me negative, just realistic.
I am not basing my opinion on this post alone. I am talking about his posts in general. Shahram makes some very good points agreed, but he is like many football fans. He doesn't see the positives with his own team, but sees them in rival teams. Oddly enough he doesn't see many weaknesses in rival teams. Now our squad is far from perfect, but to say we will not be challenging for the title is quite frankly pathetic.
Sydney, I think we'll be in the mix for the title but I also think spurs have the best squad in the league.
the key for them will be whether avb can find the right balance in his teams and get them to gel. more importantly will be whether he can instill the right mentality so they can grind out results when not playing well. it will be interesting to see how they progress.
Andrew, other than a wealth of good midfielders, the spurs squad is pretty poor. And remember that only three midfielders can play at any one time. City and MU have the best squads. I think we edge it squad wise, they edge it first XI wise.

Try above link {Ed007's Note - I think that was it lol and it was me that originally posted it!! Sorry about that Dio.}
A great insight into how they work no wonder they say he dithers with that many players under scrutiny
Hopefully that means by January he has all of his targets identified and be able to get some of them given the claims of the limitless transfer kitty.

Rene meulensteen is 20/1 for de Ireland job what do ye think of this? I think would be a great call from de fai for once
11 Sep 2013 16:24:28
Here here
100% agree (nd i'm a kerryman) :-)
Couldnt see Rene taking it though, its a difficult job when you consider the country expects to qualify for everything

FAI wouldn't be that smart. wud be a top choice I heard he was considering offers from Dutch and Belgian CL teams as a coach not head coach.
Isn't O'Neil the one for that job, would be surprised if he didn't get it?

So what does everyone think about who will line up against Leverkusen? I'm hoping Hernandez gets a go, deserves far more games in my opinion, instead of a nearly 40 year old giggs
Hope Kagawa play. Moyes blind?
Why he play giggs over Kagawa?
Kagawa play-a-make for pea.
Is that the real Evil Kagawa above me?
My favourite
i no believe own eye:giggs on before kagawa? it take neville 3 minutes to wake old ******* from sleep lol
I hope-a-so supasub!
Haha "Suarez text-a-message me after game. He say 'you so good it look like there 11 of you on pitch.'
He such nice guy."
Yeah I'd love to see kags play too, as soon as he gets a run of games he will build up a bit of confidence and consistency, then I think we will start to play much better football. Personally, I still don't believe fellaini is enough for us to maintain and build on the premier league win, as decent a player he is

Konoplyanka and Yarmolenko were outstanding for Ukraine yesterday, .
I know say it's a MOTD fever but they were really outstanding on the flanks, both are very skillful and were really threatening on the counter attacks.
Created a decent amount of chances against a very tight England defense.
Both of them are young and wouldn't mind if we can get them to replace Young and Valencia.
would like to hear what others think about them, and how much money do you think we'll have to spend to lure them away from their current club?
Tight england defence? It was awful defending, both Walker and Cole were out of position for half the game! When they had that chance early on, Gerrard was doing Cole's job and nearly f**ked it up.
And the two centre halves were up against Mr Battler, hardly a big threat and the Guliev guy was worse than Young with the ball at his feet.
I said after last years game we should be after Konoplyanka, I think the Ed mentioned something about Dnpro not wanting to let him go for anything back then.
Plus the media seem to forget that there should have been a penalty and that guy was left completely free for a header from a corner, that most would score from. Shocking organisation.
Only seen Konoplyanka play in both England ties. I really like what I've seen in that limited time.
I don't think Iarmilenko played well at all, considering he was their star player I thought Cole had him in his pocket for 95% of the match.
Konoplyanka was excellent, Walker looked like a league 1 player.
Yeah Yarmalenko is just Mr, Dragback, he is playing with a load of rubbish to be fair, but Konoplyanka was different class. He would be perfect for Utd on the left.
