Firstly Sydney my post regarding overspending was solely based on individual transfer fees. But seeing as you are CONSTANTLY bleating on and on here you go.

Here you go Sydney!
(based on trasfer fees)

United total spend since 2007 - 13.45m
Liverpool total spend since 2007 - 47.96m

United net spend 2012(so far) - 43.4m
Liverpool net spend 2012(so far-36.05m

United total net spend incl. 2012 - 56.85m
Liverpool total net spend incl. - 84.01m

United net spend without Ronaldo, Obertan and Valencia since 2007 - 117.85m
(Just for fairness) Liverpool total net spend without Torres and Carroll - 99.01m

Liverpool wages since 2007-2010 - 311.2m
United wages since 2007-2010 - 318m

As you can see Sydney, United's net spend is just massively unproportionate due to the Ronaldo's transfer fee. So stop bleating about net spend.

Listen, it's obvious Man Utd should win on Saturday. The bookies make them over whelming favourites, even tho we are at home.

Man Utd have a £30 million CB, a £17 million keeper, a new £16 miilion CB, Vidic who every Utd fan put in their world 11, A £10 million Right Back Smalling, A French international left back, an £18 million Brazillian midfielder, an £18 million England international Carrick, Young £16 million, Nani £16 million?, Rooney £28 million? Berba £30!

So, Yes! Man Utd should win easily. Liverpool have nothing to lose.

We should sign Moussa Sissoko a player who will get his feet stuck in tackles break play up and start play from the back i.e Makelele role i think Chelsea were so successful in the 'Mourinho years' as Makelele was the real unsung hero and the glue in that team...

Absolute wonder goal by Ravel tonight in the last minute to beat Bolton in the Manchester Senior Cup.

All summer many have been talking about Pogba being given the first chance in the first team.
He played ok tonight

However I watched the cameo that Ravel gave. On a poor pitch he glided across the pitch past people on at least three occasions and scored an excellent goal.

Pogba can wait a little longer, Ravel has something special and he is the one who should be given a chance.

For me, a good January for us would be to see the signing of Montolivo, he wants to move on to bigger and better things and there is no where bigger than us. He is a fantastic player from the games ive watched and the youtube videos that I have seen...Without doubt he would add something to our midfield. He reminds me very much of Modric but has a bit more physical stature and would be perfect for the Premier League. He sits deep as well which suits us perfectly, although he is well adept to breaking forward!

Outs will hopefully be Kusczack and Gibson, I would like Diouf to get a chance but i don't think he will. The revenue for those three should be about 10 to 13 million - also it would take about 90k off of the wage budget which could go towards Montolivo. He'd probably take 45k - 60k which is very reasonable. He'd be a great replacement for Scholesy and would give alot of creativity and a bit of steel to the side. Also leaving would be Berbatov for about 10 million maximum which would add further funds to the pot. Can't see him being replaced, he doesn't need to be replaced - this will give Macheda more chances to break through. Will Keane will also be promoted - he will fill the gap that Macheda leaves when he moves up to 4th or 5th choice striker. Amos may leave on loan for 6 months, he looks like he has good potential.

By summer i see Carrick and Park gone, also Owen will probably leave. To replace Carrick i'd love to see Javi Garcia brought in - I don't think this would be good business in January as he would probbaly be cup tied for the Champions League. Krasic could be possible - if Park leaves then we could be a winger short. However i'd like Bebe to prove all his haters wrong, he has what it takes to be good, tall, powerful, quick, some skill and does score goals as we have already seen.

Potential for a striker to be brought in, looks as though it would be van Wolfswinkel - no nothing about him so couldn't comment. Personally i'd like to see Rooney be partnered by Welbeck, Hernandez or Macheda. With Macheda i think we possibly have the next Rossi on our hands. If we want a utility attacker then Iturbe is a possibility but I don't think that this will happen next.

Ross Barkley is a big issue at the moment, a future central midfield of Barkley, Cleverly, Anderson, Pogba, Tunniclife is pretty exciting. If we go for him in January he'll be loaned back to Everton for the remained of the season, and possibly the 2012/2013 season also.

My guess at the United team to play Liverpool on saturday...

GK: De Gea
RB: Smalling
CB: Jones
CB: Vidic
LB: Evra
RM: Nani
LM: Young
CM: Cleverley
CM: Anderson
CF: Rooney
ST: Hernandez

Vidic returned to action last night for Serbia. I hope he can keep his cool in the game and not get sent off for making ridiculous tackles like he has done in the last 3 games against them where he was sent off.

Cleverley... I'm excited about his return. I hope he continues with his good form that he had before his injury.

I got a bet on this game... United to win 3-1, Nani first goal scorer... Cannot wait!

Come on United!!

Should Rooney be in the final squad for the Euro's? After all they usually get knocked out early after the group stages.

Also, let's look at Rooneys record in the last 2 majors! 8 games & 0 goals. Is it worth taking him? Does he deserve to go?

Hey Mates,

I'm just wondering why United are interested in Milos Krasic. I don't know too much about the lad, but from what I've seen he seems to be a winger, which we have in abundance with Nani, Young, Valencia, Park, I believe even Fabio could make one hell of a left sided winger. I know that this "interest" may be made up by the papers because they've got nothing better to do.

As for the transfer window in January, I'm pretty fond of Kagawa from Dortmund, plays centrally and the kid can finish. He'd also be a cheaper option than Götze, Modric , ect…

Stay cool peeps.

Javier Hernandez has agreed a new five-year contract with Manchester United, bringing to an end speculation that he might be tempted by Real Madrid.

Eduardo Hernandez, the player's agent, has revealed that the 23-year-old's initial deal at Old Trafford was a "tentative" one, agreed on the basis that player and club would see how his career panned out. But after 20 goals in 45 appearances in all competitions last season, the £6m acquisition from Chivas Guadalajara joins the ranks of the most highly paid, commanding a salary of around £90,000 a week in a deal which secures his future until 2016.

Eduardo Hernandez said: "There is nothing in the speculation [with Real] and it was never likely that Javier would leave United. His initial contract was a little tentative for Manchester and for Javier because it enabled them both to see if they could fit together and if he could achieve what was expected of him. Both sides have met their expectations, however, and United were happy to reward Javier after his very good performances last season.

Sorry about the cut and paste job....

Just want to pose a question regarding Beckham. If we didnt sell him to Madrid, would he still have an international career and would he still be a United Player, or ended his career here?

I think yes to both personally.

Coming from a supporter of a team with one of the worst records for overspending......

Jatt YNWA
-------------------------------------------------
In the last five years Liverpool have net spent £147m on players. In the same period United have net spent just £50m. If we pretend United never sold Ronaldo (therefore not buying Valencia & Obertan) the figures would be £114.6m. So Liverpool have net spent more cash than United and won jack sh1t. We on the other hand have won a CL trophy, 2 League cups, 3 PL titles.

does anybody rate Mahamadou Diarra, United where interested in him before he went real madrid, hes a free agent right now, couldn't he bulk up the numbers till january, till we have the opportunity to purchase someone better. hes also defensively minded, giving cleverly and anderson a chance to concentrate on going forward. or is it just me worrying about the midfield to much.
Also who know brian mcfadden was free, why are we not signing him, only joking!!

Whats all this on the liverpool page, saying they would not bring rooney to the euros. is something in the water or do they all just sit there watching old videos of liverpool in the 80's. can you imagine an england team with any liverpool players in at this moment in time. none of the liverpool players are capable of getting into the side. Glen Johnson (The worst full back defensively, ever!), Downing (what does he add to anybodies team), Carroll (Donkey), Gerrard (Whats happened to him), of course well probably get the usual carragher coming out of international retirment, but a beach ball is more useful. the only person really is kelly, but again he'll have to compete with jones and smalling maybe even micah richards. Liverpool fans need to realise that the only way england can play well, is with united players dominating the side.
P.s Liverpool lads your goalie cant pick the ball up from a pass back anymore.

I can see liverpool fans saying how rooney should be dropped from england for euro 2012.
Its so clear liverpool fans are burning with jealousy, rooney is england's version of lionel messi and things just don't click well without him.
Liverpool should concetrate on building their squad rather than posting thrash, everyone knows rooney is tempermental in nature, why don't this dumb liverpool fans get of his back.
I hope we win them at anfield and make their average players look worse.

Anyway eds a question..on an average how many of the site visitors are international football fans(non UK that is) and did you expect the site to grow at its current rate?

Rudi {Ed002's Note - I am not sure that we have the stats available but it will be in the order of an 80/20 split UK/non UK. The past few months has seen a lot of growth - I am sure it will continue but perhaps not at such a rate.}

I would NOT take Rooney to the Euros. People have short memorys, remember the last world cup, he was hopeless and he more or less put two fingers up to the England fans. And as far as Alex Ferguson praising him for his recent conduct . . . well!

Just took this from liverpool banter page.
Are they real? This is exactly why we will never succeed at international level. These liverpool fans would rather stick donkey carroll upfront and NOT score. Than have a rival player playing, who quite obviously is the best option.

It quite frankly, sickens me to the core.

Sometimes ozone I wonder if you ever question yourself and say am i wrong? Are you full of imagined self importance? He who advocates is in the position to have an affect you are not in that position so you are not advocating.your just having an opinion on. Give councils the power over football? Are you nuts? Better the devil you know. If we put a dog collar on you the style would suit. Cause that's what your doing. Preaching. If you want to change the structure of football. Here isn't the place. The people here in their heart know that there is too much money in football but they have the humilty to know they don't have a better option. Debate is good yet your arrogance astounds me. Wisdom tells me that words of such magnatude should be backed by action. So ozone. What exactly are you doing for your so called principles? The capatalist state isn't a perfect one but it adds legality to greed where as the communist model as nice as it might have been pushed greed underground and corruption went through the roof. Because there will always be greed. A savvy man sees the big picture and works it from there. A foolish man stagnates by wishing it to be something else than it is.. By the way how strong are your principles you still have sky prescription. Seems to me you love preaching pal but can't sacrifice to make your principles have meaning.whatever the right thing its obvious your approach isn't having the desired affect. But all apologies to you if your out their in life doing actions for your principles which in that case i'd be glad to hear about it..cons red
