Looks like the real kagawa is back. Big congrats and all the very best. Big shame he did not settle. When was signed him I was hoping for big things from him but it just did not work out

Believable8 Unbelievable0

What a reception kagawa got from dortmund fans loved it.He was one of my fav players, at the start of every season I had him in my fantasy manager team expecting this season he wil prove himself but I gues he was not fit for bpl. I really hope he excel at dortmund.

Agree4 Disagree0

Couldn't agree more and good for him. Treated pretty shabbily at United. Brilliant to see that reception for him. Deserves it after his time at United.

Agree1 Disagree0

How was he treated bad at United? He didn't perform well enough to warrant a place in the team, so he didn't get one - simple really.

I personally don't feel trivial sympathy for anyone who earns £1m+ pa without really having to work for it.

Agree4 Disagree1

When you play someone out of position and without a proper run in the side its obvious any player no matter how good would struggle.fergie signed him, moyes didn't like him for some reason, couldn't of been that we were playing that brilliant he couldn't get in the team last season.he will shine again at dortmund and show people again what a good technically gifted player he his.dont forget he was kept out of the n/010 position by mata who at 37.5mill has got a lot of convincing to do, as so far a lot of people are not impressed.

Agree0 Disagree0

I seem to remember Mata being stuck on the left under Moyes, he didn't play in the so called number 10 position.

Agree0 Disagree0

Kagawa had a season under SAF too. I don't buy the "he didn't get a run of games" stance. He would've had plenty of opportunity to impress during training.

I liked the look of him as a player but he seemed to be a bit lightweight.

Sometimes some players just don't settle at some clubs and he certainly fell into that category with us. He did have one great game against Norwich though. loved that cheeky dummy and then tap in - pure class.

Agree0 Disagree0

The reason I think he was treated shabbily is that in my opinion he didn't get a decent run in the team in his preferred position. He is an attacking central midfielder. He is wasted out wide. I think he is just a good a player as Mata. Certainly quicker. It's a bit ironic as Mata now finds himself in a similar situation.
Anyway, it's all academic now as he has moved to a club where he is allowed to play to the best of his abilities.
I still believe Ferguson wanted Lewandowski and to off load Rooney. I don't know about anyone else but I would of loved to have seen Lewandowski and Kagawa linking up at United.
But have to say more excited about the potential in Di Maria, Falcao, van Persie, Rooney, Januzaj and yes Mata.

I have to say the results elsewhere are really going our way the last couple of weeks granted, the top teams have played each other in a couple of those fixtures and we are yet to play anyone that is a serious contender.

Hope we win Tomm and besides chelsea no one getting away from the pack.

Chelsea look strong and might be a good shout for Europe. I think their defense is their only weakness especially if they get some injuries.

Believable0 Unbelievable3

Chelsea have a tight defence the centre might be a little bit weak with an injurey or two but the rest of the team is great

GCU.I can't believe your post. Until we get our act together, we can only look on as spectators to the top 14. If we don't win tomorrow, there's something drastically wrong and without the confidence that winning brings, we're snookered. Our hope then if it continues will be that we don't do a '74

Agree3 Disagree2

Seymour, slow down mate its just an opinion.

Agree2 Disagree1

Seymore

We have 2 points from 3 games and a win tomm brings us into the fold and within a point of Arsenal and Liverpool and 2 points of City and Spurs and ahead of Everton on goal difference.

I would say the other results have gone well for us given how bad we have played.

Agree3 Disagree1

13 Sep 2014 22:04:35
Herbie. How would you rate our chances at this moment in time against Chelsea, City, Liverpool, Arsenal even Villa? It was well documented when the fixture list was released how we had an easier start than last year, yet we've struggled in the 1st 3 games of the season, 2 points from 9 and were totally embarrassed in the cup. That's unacceptable to me and like I say, we need a win tomorrow because if we get beat or even struggle for a draw, there's something drastically wrong and if I were Van Gaal, I'd be looking at making a leader from defence or midfield not the one we look to in attack because up to now he's done nothing

Agree4 Disagree1

Seymour
I see our chances of a top 4 finish a lot better than it was the last game we played, we have had injuries, we have had a squad of players low on confidence and we can only hope with the players we now have that we move forwards and start with a win tomorrow.
Rojo should make a difference, Falcao will make a difference and with our injured players returning we are in a stronger position, only time will tell but we have to keep the faith.
You are right in respect of the captaincy/leader, I believe it would of been better to have someone from defence/centre mid leading but who is there to choose from? New beginnig mate let's just see how the next few games go.

Agree4 Disagree1

Plus Blind in midfield. Shaw left back. Oh, and didn't we sign some Argentinian kid from Real?

Agree2 Disagree0

I'll go with the glass half full approach, it makes for a much happier life!
I'm confident that the new arrivals will raise the level of confidence throughout the team and we'll come away with 3 points. Tomorrow will be the start of our season. Although the rebuild isn't yet completed I'm sure that the 'United Swagger will be back soon. I don't think this is an unrealistic outlook. But that's just me and my 'glass half full' outlook on life! ; )
I really feel tomorrow will be a good day!

Let me get this straight, Seymour just suggested we might get relegated. Same ip as hugh jardon I wonder? Daft name and same ridiculous posts, could just be me.

Agree2 Disagree2

GDS2.Are you for real or just paranoid?. As my name, (a little witty maybe for you grasp) suggests, I'd just like to 'See More Goals'.If, and it's a big if, we don't start getting the wins required to amass the points, who's to say what might happen? Last year we were a team in transition even though we'd railroaded the league the season previous, we finished 7th and manager less(again). So far this season we've gone backwards or is a point away to the mighty BURNLEY acceptable? Is getting beat by MK Dons 4-0 sitting ok with you or has that just been swept under the carpet. If all our new players, manager & staff don't start getting it right PDQ, we could find ourselves lower than low. The unknown here is we don't know if all our Superstars we've amassed can play well together

Looks like Moyes is about to be made favourite to take over at Newcastle if they get rid of Pardew (looking more and more likely).
Personally I hope he does get the job (if Pardew does go). He deserves another crack at a decent sized club and I imagine that he has learnt a lot from last year. A decent guy, good manager and will do well at his next club I am sure. Just unfortunately not the right man for us.

Believable5 Unbelievable1

13 Sep 2014 20:16:51
That's the Geordies for the drop.

Agree2 Disagree3

I think moyes would be a great shout for Newcastle, there's no expectation there so he would fit in well, they would become a decent side like everton

Agree3 Disagree0

I wonder if he'll come back for Fellaini if so?

I can't help but notice that James Wilson picks up minor niggles quite often(today's papers saying that he is not in squad for QPR game due to injury) and I was just wondering if this was more due to the fact that he is still developing physically rather than being injury prone?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

13 Sep 2014 19:58:29
Yeah let's label him injury prone. He will never make it if his body keeps failing him like this.

His 18,mate. We are not going to throw him out there with a niggle if we don't have to. And with Rooney,Falcao and RvP we don't have to. It's called looking after your Young players.

Agree0 Disagree0

BornIntoIt I think after the signings we have made this season some of the fans including me are a bit worried about how we will fit in the young players in the starting 11.

I can't see how anyone of Blackett, Januzaj and Wilson will start with the kind of players we've signed.

How long will these players be happy with sub appearances?

I think after the performances last season Januzaj should've been the first name on the team sheet but even he's not guaranteed a place.

Wilson should've been our sub striker now that both Chicha and Welbz are gone but how will he come on when we have either one of Rooney/RvP on the bench?

Despite the lack defensive stability the signings of Shaw, Rojo and to some extent Blind put Blackett's place in jeopardy.

These are the only 3 youngsters anywhere close to the squad and they are not likely to get much game time.

I am not complaining about the signings just worried that are we going the Real Madrid way?

Ok it'll get us success but are we okay with this approach to get success?

Agree0 Disagree2

Januzaj may not play a lot this year but look for him to come to prominence in 2015/6. I am expecting some high profile departures next summer as older players are replaced, and as the squad re-balancing and tactical modernization continues. I would be surprised if Adnan didn't fit into LVG's medium term plans however, for this season, he will need to carpe diem when opportunities arise, as I'm sure they will. He is a young player and needs nurturing and protecting. Roma, with or without Strootman, wasn't built in a day.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think this season may be a bit tricky for the younger players due to the restricted number of games we'll play this year but they will continue to learn from the more experienced players. As long as the team develops as we all expect it to and we get Champions League footy next season it will get better for them.
Exciting times!

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Sep 2014 02:06:31
Surely having top young players that have to work hard to get a game is how it should be? The fact is last season we relied on januzaj a lot when we shouldn't have to. This year when he does play there will be a lot less pressure on him when he plays and he will be able to work on his game and prove his worth when he does play.

Agree1 Disagree0

If the young players have the right temperment to play for utd there won't be a problem, blacket has had game time on tour and in the prem so far and wilson made his debut last season and has just moved up the pecking order.we will get injuries during the season so if there in the 1st team squad they will get chances.you will always get young players who think they can do better by demanding more money or playing time but most don't go very far ie zeki fryers already moved on from spurs, obviously not as good as he thought he was.

Agree1 Disagree0

14 Sep 2014 12:02:54
Also would you rather have januzaj learn from di Maria or young? Wilson learning from falcao or blocked by Hernandez or welbeck?

Agree1 Disagree0

13 Sep 2014 16:23:57
Diego Costa just can't stop scoring, can he?

We need Falcao and Di Maria to prove why they are considered to be among the best players in the world.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

13 Sep 2014 17:12:46
7 goals in four games is just ridiculous

Agree3 Disagree0

13 Sep 2014 17:17:31
Coasta will score loads because that team creates plenty for him. Even Remy scored!
Out of curiosity, why does Kun Aguero almost never completes a game? Haven't seen him play 90mins before.

Agree1 Disagree0

Celestyn I think he's a bit injury prone so Man City don't risk him too much.

Also, they have a midweek game against Bayern Munich so they need him fully fit for that game.

Agree0 Disagree0

Costa is the spearhead of Chelsea's attack. Expect him to bang in 30+ this season if he can remain injury free. I think Manchester City will outscore Chelsea though - as could we.

Agree0 Disagree6

13 Sep 2014 20:03:39
Picked a good week to make him captain in my dream team :)

Agree0 Disagree0

R7 let's not count the chicken before they hatch.

Agree0 Disagree0

MB - I said that we could - not that we would. If I were a betting man, however, I'd probably put a few pounds on it. Chelsea will still win the league either way because they have the best defense (and all round team in general).

Agree0 Disagree0

Had him in my fantasy team from start of season, I knew his physicality will fit the pl perfectly. Excellent finisher.

Agree0 Disagree0

Pellegrini apparently took aguero off because after being booked he thought he was to wound up about being fouled constantly and would end up red carded.

Was talking to a mate before (Chelsea fan) and we couldn't agree on who we would rather have at our club, Januzaj or Sterling. Personally I think januzaj is a much more complete player, what's everyone else's thoughts?

Believable1 Unbelievable7

13 Sep 2014 14:53:57
Im a Utd fan, and for me Sterling is far better at the moment.
Januzaj frustrates me, he likes to play for himself rather than the team, that's just my view.

Agree6 Disagree2

At this moment Sterling is better, so I would take him.
The difference between the two is that Sterling has played far more and has the confidence now of knowing he is as starter. Januzaj needs to play regularly to catch up with Sterling, but don't think it will be this season unfortunately.

Agree5 Disagree0

Sterling has already made the transition to being an established premier league and international player. He's fast, direct, can pass and score and links up well. Janusaj is still a prospect. But then in which position would either of them be first choice in United's line up at the moment?

Building for the future, I'd take Sterling over Rooney and/or RVP and keep Janusaj. They're both exciting young talents with a decade of potential ahead of them.

Agree2 Disagree0

13 Sep 2014 16:36:45
What are you saying, Sterling's a better bet than our captain?

Agree2 Disagree0

Sterling will reach his potential earlier. He has the intelligence, touch and skills as do Januzaj but while they both lack experience, Sterling is more proven and he is much quicker, which will help him mask his inexperience in a way Januzaj can't.

Agree3 Disagree0

Sterling is becoming a cracking little player, at the moment Sterling seems the better player but he gets play time to show what he can do.
Januzaj IMO has more potential for the long run, he will become the better of the 2 IF he gets the opportunities.

Agree0 Disagree2

Sterling. At the moment there's no question. That said, both players still have a long way to go in terms of development and a bad injury at the wrong time could have a big impact on how they end up in five/six years time.
