Would be intriguied to know how Liverpool fans can watch their 'class team' on a weekly basis and still call them a big club? Baffles me.

Right a few things to comment on.

First the supposed mutiny about wages. I'm sure the wages are not the problem but the Rooneygate issue has just made us a clear target for this kind of hearsay when a contract issue drags on.

What I believe the case is;

Pogba- Playing time assurances.

Ravel- Behavior (missing training being the back breaker).

On yesterdays game.

Toni was class. Carrick and Rafa played well. In fact the team played ok overall and a job well done.

I'm glad people are off te sell Toni bandwagon. I think he is a brilliant winger and not because of the skills or that which normally expected of a winger but the fact he is so consistant with what he does do that it allows the strikers to play off that knowledge and target their runs or movements specifically. Like with Becks, Yorke and Cole knew where it was heading and the results are there to see. This is what Toni will have over Nani every day of the week for me. Imo that consistancy is what got Rooney all those goals 2 years ago and how we could of done with Toni last year, maybe Nani wouldn't have been so goosed by the end.

I won't even start on corners or free kicks I'm sure you all know my opinion on Nani (or Giggs) being involved with set pieces.

And that leads me on to what I would do with the team.

Out: Owen, Berb, Drinkwater, De laet, Evra, Rio, Giggs, Scholes, James, Diouf, Kiko, Park, Anderson and wait for it ......... Nani.

In: Promote W Keane, Tunners, Pogba, Ravel, Fryers and buy Izzy, Shakiri, Honda, Higuain, Hernanes + Subotic.

GK; DDG, Linders, Amos.

RB; Rafa, Jones. Cover; Smalling, Toni, Fletch.

LB; Izzy, Fabio. Cover; Fryers, Evans.

CB; Vida, Smalling, Subotic, Fryers, Evans.

CM; Carrick, Honda, Clevs, Fletch, Tunners, Pogba.

R+LW; Toni, Shaqiri, Young, Ravel.

CAM; Rooney, Hernanes. Cover; Honda, Ravel.

ST; Higuain, Welbeck, Chicho, W Keane.

Team;

-------------DDG-
-Jones---Smalls--Vida---Izzy-
--------Clevs----Fletch-
-Toni-----Rooney-----Shakiri-
----------Higuain-

------------Linders-
-Rafa--Subotic--Fryers--Fabio-
-------Honda--Carrick-
-Young----Hernanes----Ravel-
-----------Welbeck-

If only I was in charge eh? Haha.

I hope Berby doesn't leave! if he does and we don't sign anyone, we are left worse off.

With that performance there is a good chance of Swansea finishing ahead of Liverpool.

Okay seriously, just watched Swansea play Arsenal off the park. Joe Allen strikes me as the player we have been craving. Good at tracking back, brilliant passer of the ball and is fast. There was a rumour a while back that he would be available for as little as £10m. For me, that's a steal.

wanted to ask something. Whats the Gel kind of substance that arsenal used to smear on the shirt a couple of seasons ago ?

how is it helpful ? {Ed007's Note - It is Vicks Vapour Rub, it helps keep the airways clear and aids breathing during matches.}

How does this line up look, it looks realistic with transfers:

------------------- De Gea ------------------

Rafael ----- Smalling ------- Ferdinand ----Izaguirre

Nani --------Rodwell --------- Cleverly --- Hazard

-------------------- Rooney --------------------

-------------------- Welbeck --------------------

Those three players would cost us about what the 3 we bought in summer did, you'd be looking at like 60,000,000. But it'd be great business!

I think with signings we have to look at 5 main criteria:

1) Age, under 27?
2) Desire to play for us/loyalty.
3) Ability
4) Under £30,000,000
5) Value for money

So if you look at that criteria then you can rule a few players our, like Sneijder, he's pushing it now. I think between now and 2013 i expect to see players like these to come in (and out).

The players that i see will need replacing/leaving:

Giggs + Scholes + Ferdinand + Evra(this season or next)
Berbatov + Owen (this season)
Park (next season)
Diouf
Drinkwater + James + King (this season)

Positions that will need filling, adding to are:

CB (x1)
LB (x1)
CM (x2?)
Winger (x1)
Forward (x1)

So i propose these players:

Subotic - (Smalling is Ferdinands replacement, but Subotic is great and would fit like a glove).

Izaguirre - robust, good going forward and backwards - is like Valencia but at LB.

CM - Rodwell - been tracking him for ages.
Honda - creative, dead ball specialist (Asian market)

Winger - Shaqiri - great talent, plays everywhere.

Forward - Benzema / Higuain if possible (unlikely), so i'd go with someone like Huntelaar. Someone expereinced will be needed for me - maybe Raul.

That would leave us with an eventual squad of:

GK: De Gea, Lindegaard, Amos

Def: Rafael, Fabio, Izaguirre, Jones, Smalling, Subotic, Vidic, Evans Fryers.

Mid: Valencia, Nani, Young, Shaqiri, Cleverly, Anderson, Carrick, Fletcher, Rodwell, Honda, Pogba, Morrison.

For: Rooney, Chicharito, Welbeck, Macheda, Raul/Huntelaar.

How do you all suppose we are to fit a CDM, CAM and Rooney in the same team?

__________GK__________
RB_____CB____CB_____LB
_________CDM__________
RM__________________LM
_________CAM__________
________Rooney_________
__________ST___________

Makes no sense buying a CAM when we play Rooney pretty much in the same position.

In my opinion we need a LB, CDM, CAM and possibly a CB. Below is my opinion of who we could, possibly, get:
LB-Jordi Alba or Emilio Izaguirre

CB-Adil Rami, Neven Subotic or Mats Hummels

CDM-Jack Rodwell(although, i dont think he would be good enough) or Javi Martinez, Javier Mascherano

CAM-Eden Hazard, Mario Gotze, Luka Modric, Wes Sneijder, Nico Gaitan, Christian Eriksen, Mesut Ozil.

ED's or anyone else. Who would you realistically like to see brought in between now and the summer and what would be your starting 11 and subs bench look like. for the start of next season.

Anybody else think it would be a waste buying a DM at the moment? With players like Tunnicliffe and Pogba (potentially) around, i can see it being only next season when they get first team games regularly. (Game every other week + substitutions)

If coming of an old 'Paul Scholes' could breathe life in United.

Then why can't a classy player like De Rossi/Oezil/Hazard, ?

I wish we buy someone, or atleast sign a pre contract agreement.

man utd to come under a full investigation on its misuse of old people , yes age concern has said its just ridiculous utd make the old folk go though this strenuous exercise each week and sometimes even twice a week in matches , this together with training everyday is just damm cruel , said a age concern spokesperson...............lfc

A lot of talk of Pogba and Morrison leaving. If they do end up jumping ship for more money or more first team football what are the ramifications for UTD if any?

Does this mean we can no longer compete financially or are we not as attractive as other teams to players.

Or, is it just pure money grabbing?

Sometimes I read comments like "why would he not want to play for the biggest club in world?" Get a grip! We will always be behind Barca and Real in footballing terms.
Financially things may look good to the stock brokers or Forbes Magazine but the reality is we have not been splashing the cash for whatever reason. 'No value' is b**llox and I think we can all agree on that.

To get back to my pint our two brightest young players leaving possibly when our squad is not the best as is does not look good on the club for other young players.

Rant over.

Re: Morrison,
Firstly everything is about vague and rumoured at the moment so let's give the lad the benefit of the doubt until we all know more. Plus the lad might not be the brightest bulb in the box but he will be well aware that the fame and fortune will come playing at united and if he has the tools the coaches and club will help him reach his potential.

I don't know why we don't just send him on an 18month loan to Antwerp and get him out of Manchester and away from any negative influences. Or even send him to Swansea or Portsmouth.

Ed, what is happening with Ravel Morrison? Fergie says he has requested high wages, while Morrison himself says he hasn't asked anything from United. Who is lying? Or is it Ravel's agent being a tw@?

G.A.G.U.S {Ed001's Note - I was told the issue was not about money, purely about his attitude. Perhaps Fergie is making excuses to rid himself of Morrison? I will have to check, because it could easily have been that it was his attitude over his wage demands that was meant. But, as the person who was telling me was referring to Morrison skipping training at the time, I assumed it was with reference to that at the time.}
