Ed it seems the press are obsessed in linking us to every young sporting Lisbon player. I'm guessing we've been watching a lot of their matches, but do you know who's of interest? {Ed007's Note - It was Celtic players they were going to watch and caught the wrong flight.}

Evening folks. Can anyone tellme how the new BT Sports Champions League deal will work? Is it just for coverage in the UK? And how will the 300 million a year be shared out?
I tried the search function but nothing was coming up.
Thanks in adance {Ed002's Note - It will work as it has done with Sky/ITV except all of the games will be on BT Vision (or whatever it rebrands itself). Some games including the final will be free, the rest will be a subscription as it is now with Sky. Money will be allocated in a similar way to now - basically, success brings more money. In the big scheme of things it will be a matter of a different provider - an interesting thought might be will Sky become cheaper as it loses tournaments to other providers?}

Thanks for the reply ed. I was talking with my mates about that. I don't think sky will drop their prices with their stranglehold on the Premier league coverage. The man in the streets pocket will suffer.

Here in Ireland, if you subscribe to Setanta you get BT included in the price (Albeit slightly dearer) but I can see Sky, Setanta and BT all needing their own subscription and a seasons football has just got more expensive. {Ed002's Note - It is a couple of years away but I am sure all have folks working on their cost models. Certainly BT will be charging. Worth keeping you eye on.}

As always we will he expected to pay more for less.
Competition? Let's go back to nationalisation and the BBC {Ed002's Note - You appreciate that financially that would take away about £100M worth of annual income from Arsenal?}

So guys here we are, middle of November, what's our views on David Moyes now? Personally, at times I've been frustrated, angry at performances but I honestly think he will make it. When people say he is cut from the same cloth as the great Sir Alex you can see it, the passion he has when we score, Liverpool for example when chicha scored you could see what it meant to him. I think he's growing into the role, you just look at the passion, the fight he installed in the players for the arsenal game, when you see Wayne Rooney throwing himself in front of ozil's shot, I believe that he wouldn't have done that 6 months ago! Moyes is getting something out of our players recently which is pure passion, playing for the badge and we will climb the table again, and our current form is getting there. Aside from the passion displayed I still think we are playing some good football, ie against Fulham that was the Manchester United we all want to see every week, fast free flowing football! Against arsenal at times we were superb just like against Leverkusen. And finally he's had the stones to throw in Januzaj, would we have seen him under Sir Alex? Maybe he would have signed the contract and went on loan? But Adnan has been outstanding and moyes is using him correctly by not playing him every single week. Things are looking up for us and with a shrewd signing or two in January we will win the league if you ask me. We aren't really out of 2nd gear yet and I fear for the league when we hit top form. I have faith in moyes, do you?

Simply put. Yes. I think there will be a lot of regrets going round in the ensuing months and years about what some people have said about Moyes. Every game I see him getting better and better, and finally his dialogue has become the voice if the United manager - not the ex Everton manager - he's starting to fill the boots now.

hi caolan mate, I agree. I was angry at moyes in the start but I think he is and will make it, looks like he is starting to get things right, I will pray that he makes it:) i'm sorry mr moyes for not backing u up, sorry. u will make it ggmu.

In short, you are kidding yourselves. Moyes does not, and has never had, the pedigree to manage a club of the stature of Manchester United. Now before the blind faith brigade jump on my back with their unfounded optimism, let's look at the evidence:

Exhibit A: shocking pre-season form.
Exhibit B: the pantomime that was our summer transfer dealings.
Exhibit C: a genuine failure to challenge the leagues top teams in the big games (I know some of you will highlight the Arsenal game, but this was a hollow victory in my opinion, score an early goal and then defend for an hour - not the Manchester United way).
Exhibit D: our general style of play, which is dull, predictable and simply not entertaining to watch. Although this is nothing new. Some of you will argue that Moyes is limited by the players he has, but didn't he have the opportunity to address that?

Some of you may also argue that we are "finding our feet" as we have crept up to fifth in the table, but I ask you, is that because we are playing well or because other teams are playing badly?

How I dream of a Manchester United squad under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp, now there's a manager who knows how to play the United way!

I'm not a fan of Moyes. I always thought Everton were a one trick pony. And I'm not convinced he can produce and maintain the success that the club and the fans are used to. He has come in and made some big changes with coaching staff. The transfer window was a joke. Fellaini for £27m is a poor buy in my opinion. He looks lost. Nani getting a five year contract, I'm still scratching my head over that one. The style of play has been, generally, very dull.
But there are positives. Getting Rooney to stay and play the way he is, I'm amazed by that as I thought he was never going to play for us again. Kagawa getting some game time and starting to find his feet is a massive bonus. Januzaj looks a real talent and Moyes is good at bringing young players on. Also, Moyes has had a look at the team in general and is getting a feel for it. He knows who is deadwood at the club and, I think, he knows where the team needs strengthening. Who he chooses as replacements though will be interesting.
Whoever was going to replace Ferguson was on a hiding to nothing. It is going to take time. For me, I don't think Moyes can bring European success to the club. As for the Premiership, I'm not sure. It is very open and pretty poor to be honest but we are in with a shout. I think we all would of loved Klopp here. Maybe next time. But let's just be glad we didn't get Mourinho.

Hmm Rumple did you watch the games against the to clubs? Chelsea had 11 defenders and we missed 2 good chances Chelsea created none, and I agree we were poor. Liverpool The ball glances the back of Sturridge's head and goes in, the teams were very even and YES we were not good. City thrashed us fair play but that's the only one so far.

I think if we get behind moyes and the team and give him time to bring in his own players/strengthen where he sees fit we will be ok. I agree klopp is a good manager but he didn't come in and win the league straight away and hence has had time to make his team what they are today. I'm not guaranteeing success but feel we should judge him when he has had a chance with a team he built.
