If anyone has any doubt that ignorance isn't prevalent in football and in society, you only have to look at posts from United and Liverpool supporters regarding the Evra/Suarez alledged incident. You have all been eager to put your biased slant on the issue (including the John Terry incident) without being privy to any complete facts.

Your respective clubs or personal likes or dislikes for individuals players clearly comes before justice either way for many of you. For all those who have supported their man, or hated Terry, Suarez or Evra, you should take a good hard look at yourselves! This is bigger than Liverpool FC or Chelsea FC, this is what is acceptable in society.

Your guilty or innocent declarations are easily offered, without consequence, but are born out of ignorance.

The majority of posts on this subject are based on club allegiance, not what is right and wrong, and you don't know how dangerous that is in a wider context.

Facts: the FA believe they have evidence that there is a case to be answered, and Mr Suarez has the opportunity to answer the allegation..that is it for now!

Right we've done the unsavioury subject of racism and that it shouldn't be part of football in any context so lets live by that and speak no more about it, it will be delt with by the FA and once the outcome is sorted then we can discuss it again. But if we don't want it in the game then lets not make it part of it. I personally won't be saying any more on the subject until the out come of the hearing, and i appeal to the rest of you to do the same.

Now lets get back to what were all here for.....FOOTBALL!!!

What do people think the line up will be on Saturday?

I think it could look like this:

_________De Gea________
Rafael_Ferdinand_Vidic_Evra
Park_Carrick_Anderson_Giggs
____Berbatov_Rooney_____

Sir Alex will want to play the players who didn't play over the international break and give the lads who did a break where possible. If Rafael isn't fit then Jones will proberly play at right back. I think Cleverley, Smalling, Young will be given more time to recover from their injuries. Fabio picked up a knock and maybe only on the bench depending on how bad it is. Hernandez and Valencia have done alot of travelling so may also be given abit more time to rest, Bearing in mind we have a hugely important game agianst Benifica on tuesday and sir alex will want his strongest team out against them. Also without being too disrespectful to Swansea they aren't the toughest team we'll play in the league this year.

Dont just dismiss this, like my last "complaint". But i dont see how, when i comment about a player i dislike it simply does not get posted because of light swearing yet the Pool fans are as free as hell to slag Evra off and call him every name under the sun all night long, when in reality they know nothin of the matter.

RedDevil92 {Ed001's Note - not when I am editing they don't. I am repeatedly pointing out that he is not the 'boy who cried wolf', as some people think. I keep pointing out that he was not the one who made the accusations against Chelsea staff or Steve Finnan, in fact in both cases he said he heard nothing racist whatsoever. I also delete any posts talking about how he is a liar etc when I am editing. The truth is no one knows except him and Suarez exactly what happened, and even they will have completely different viewpoints. If there are specific cases that have either been missed by other editors or posted when they shouldn't, feel free to comment on them pointing it out. It is very easy for us to remove a whole thread when we see a comment, but much more difficult for us to find offending threads on their own.}

well well well , just heard about wayne rooney and his hair transplant , turns out its called -propecia , it can have effects including increased muscle-mass , and weight loss , a football spokeperson says its not banned yet , but they will look into it , maybe this explains his upturn in fittness and looks eh utd fans , i thought his weight had come down , seems theres more to this than we might think , in saying that i am sure hair rooney did not know about the possible effects ,to be fair to him.............lfc

Racism: I was once accused of racism by a work colleauge(Ugandan), a friend who was invited and came to my wedding, i was suspended from work pending an investigation and facing the sack, this makes you feel sick to the stomach. After 2 days i recieved a call from work, went in to see HR and was told my friend admitted he over-reacted, and i was'nt been racist. He then faced the sack and I pleaded with HR to let it go and don't fire him, i saved his job. The point Im trying to make is don't condemn Saurez until all the facts are made public, it is'nt fair, he may be innocent.... The Terry situation is more cut and dry, sack him.... HERBIE

I wouldn't have him anywhere near my club, if found guilty. But watch Luis and Terry being found not guilty, dos'nt matter if they did it or not. IMO they will be both found not guilty.

Blair Mayne YNWA JFT96

Ps. I still don't think Luis said it, but I know exactly what Terry said it.

thats just one big biased contradiction, dont want him at my club, even though found guilty you still dont think he did it implies you would be willing to let it go and him stay at your club, because in your head he didnt do it, wonder if your thoughts would be the same if he was a fringe player, me thinks not.

Liverpool have nothing to worry about as Sepp Blatter has announced today that there is no racism in football and even if things are said during the game then players should just shake hands and get on with it. Now this is the man in charge of football so what chance do we have. I have a feeling that Liverpool will be already doing a deal with the FA where Suarez can be charged with a lesser offence that means they don't have to sell their best player. No doubt Dogleash will mumble something about Suarez being the victim and everyone picking on Liverpool. RAINFISHTROMBONE

if someone is found guiltly of a offence , they will be charged , banned or fined or both , but what kind of ban and how long , its up to the fa. no one should get thrown- out , because if thats the case , then that french guy that kicked a guy in the crowd , and keane , who ended a players playing days on purpose should of got put out of the game for good , so before you utd fans get too high and mightly about one of our players, put things into the bigger picture.............lfc

Ed, am I right in saying that the very people who have today charged Luis Suarez with racially abusing Evra are the very people that will decide his fate at the hearing? If so then what hope has he got? Can anyone think of a single case that the FA charged someone, then found them not guilty afterwards? It doesn't happen. They would have collected all of the evidence and spoken to both players over the past month and made their decision.

I have a feeling Suarez could have incriminated himself with what he has recently admitted to saying.

Sydney! {Ed001's Note - that he has admitted calling someone what his mates call him? That doesn't make sense Syd. Personally I have no idea whether he is guilty or not, but your reading of the situation is just your usual blatant bias. The FA have taken an age to do something that could have been done weeks ago. All they needed was statements from the involved parties, forget the fans, they are too biased to ever be honest, just match officials and players. Then study the match footage to see if there is any video evidence. Either way they should call a hearing, in every case, purely because every time one is called people assume the accused is guilty. But I fail to see how you can say that the FA always find them guilty before the charges when I can't remember a single accusation of this nature being made before.}

Debating serious issues such as alleged acts of racism between the fans of players and clubs involved in alleged incidents isn't usually productive. A Liverpool fan will say he believes Suarez didn't do anything (which has already happened on here) and a United supporter is likely to back Evra. The facts are, the FA believe they have enough evidence to charge Mr Suarez, and they have done so. In turn, Mr Suarez has the opportunity to respond. We have not seen the file of evidence, so in all honesty we should leave the matter to take it's course.

I see Luis's been charged, so i'll tell you what I told LFC fans, on our page. If Luis is found guilty beyond reasonable doubt, then I don't want him at our club. Seriously who wants a racist playing for them? Same with Terry, I wouldn't have him anywhere near my club, if found guilty. But watch Luis and Terry being found not guilty, dos'nt matter if they did it or not. IMO they will be both found not guilty.

The FA has today charged Liverpool’s Luis Suarez following an incident that occurred during the Liverpool versus Manchester United fixture at Anfield on 15 October 2011.

It is alleged that Suarez used abusive and/or insulting words and/or behaviour towards Manchester United’s Patrice Evra contrary to FA rules.

It is further alleged that this included a reference to the ethnic origin and/or colour and/or race of Patrice Evra.

I think lastnight proved that Baines isn't United quality. Dont get me wrong, he tried to stay in position as much as he could. And put some decent passes in. But he was the only one for me who looked unphased. Spent a bit too much time on the ball too.

bond the one in united's account has dropped from 151 million to 65 million. Its mainly the interest payments, transfers and all those new contracts for players like the pea, welbeck and cleverley. Not sure why we bothered with park. It usually fluctuates over a season as they add cash or spend it. Also they bought back another chunk of bonds so the interest should dip a little. Seems a strange strategy raise all that money in bonds to be paid back in seven years then buy chunks of them back in two years. But i'm not an accountant so it probably makes sense somewhere. {Ed007's Note - Thanks. The financial stuff goes way over my head, so I tend not to comment on it, basically because I would make myself look like an ar5e probably (no sniggering at the back there!!)

So having spent 8 million on buying up land around old trafford what do we think they will do with it? Personally i don't buy into the theory of them building a new 90k seater when old trafford is almost finished. Also it would likely cost between 300 and 500 million based on previous new stadia and i don't see the Glazers spending that sort of money or even where that kind of money would come from. Do we think they may try and use the land to build some sort of complex like city are planning over at pondlands? A casino and or hotel sort of thing perhaps? Any ideas? Rincewind

I have to say I always respected SYDNEYS footballing knowledge on here until now.

I cannot believe you actually thought one of Uniteds most creative players in the last 20 years would accumulate a measly total of 20 assists !

Im shocked you would even embarrass yourself and actually post that on a United page.

What were you thinking ??

I've never been a fan of Rodwell but I have to admit he really is starting to look the part, I'm still not sure he would be right for United but if he came I would welcome him, he's only gonna get better. Rodwell and Jones looked like seasoned pro's last night, to me they looked better than Lampard, Gerrard, and Barry.... The future may be bright after all.... HERBIE

i think a midfield three of rodwell and cleverley and jones would work well. All can get forward and all can get. Put young and nani out wide and rooney up top with the pea on the bench as a game changer. I do see jones long term as a cb but short term in midfield could help out. Then in some games have rodwell and cleverley as a two and rooney and pea up top. Rincewind
