In relation to the possible Sneijder transfer, Tribal Football are reporting that "Former United and Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon, now a partner at Creative Artists Agency, is aiding the search for new deals for the couple and a move to the UK would boost the profiles of both the player and his TV presenter wife."
Knowing that Peter Kenyon made a complete and utter c*ck up of the failed transfer to OT of Ronaldinho, there must be a good chance that this transfer too will fail. Mind you, Tribal Football is not the most reliable of sources for facts/rumours.

i personally feel united should buy montolivo... He wants to leave fiorentina and he fits in the scholes roles well... Ed please tell me why fergie is not interested in him?? {Ed007's Note - I have no idea, sorry}

ed, don't you think we are all obsessed with getting a replacement for scholes, after all he didn't figure that much the lst couple of seasons, i think we have not replaced keane, so in my mind with barca now going for everyone and need that cash maybe a cheeky bid for mascherano might be what we need in our midfield.. {Ed007's Note - Just buy James McCarthy, no fancy names and maybe £10m. No player can replace Scholes or Keane IMO so look for similar. McCarthy at Utd could be a great player for a club like Utd and young enough to be moulded into what the team needs}

hi ed 007 what do you make of the sniejder and nasri situation? im still hoping nasri will be brought in think he would fit better by taht i mean rooney plaing as he did last season and nasri in cm, not sure if ws would fit in there. tom17 {Ed007's Note - I am still holding out hopes of Sneijder, I have said it for months so I kind of need to. The Nasri situation is very strange considering Macinis comments, which backs up AF saying he was going elsewhere. I think the first big money move could start a snowball effect as players come and go from all the big clubs, nobody has really went out and bought anyone of the "names" that are going here or there, just my opinion and thoughts}

i no that berb is going in to the final year of his contract but i think united have an option of a further year, if thats true does it mean that he cant leave on a free next year. ed , syd anyone answer this.
jred {Ed007's Note - There is a strong possibility that Berbatov will leave, teams have confirmed they are interested in him}

are not reporting Sneijder news because both Nike and Manchester United have offered a significant cash sum for the deal to be kept quiet until all paperwork is signed.

This kind of activity is completely legal and has occurred in many transfers involving complications which parallel the Sneijder deal.

Why the hell didn't we include sneijder and/or VDV in the Ronaldo deal? Could have sorted out midfield issues for £50 million + those two

We only paid £2m for Diouf so I expect United will be happy to get that amount back for him. I expect United will have a sell-on clause on him, so if Blackpool sell him next year we will get a cut.

Diouf will be quality in the Championship. I expect him and Kevin Phillips could be top goalscorers. I expect Macheda to go out on loan to a PL club and Berbatov to be sold. I think we will sign another striker soon.

Listen guys. Let's clear something up about the Sneijder situation. We, as a club shouldn't have to persuade or coax Sneijder to come to Manchester United. This club sells itself and always will. Wesley should be prepared to walk over hot coals to get here. What strength of character has this guy got when he talks about "I will go where Inter tell me to go". Give Modric his due, at least he has come clean with the fans and made his feelings clear. The last guy, from Serie A, who arrived with a big reputation and an even bigger bottom lip was Veron.......the rest as they say is history I like Sneijder but you'd think we were negotiating with Jesus Christ himself. Have some b*lls Wes and come of the pot Its the world's biggest club after you me 'eld m8. What is there to think about?

A million meanings- I couldn't understand one mate. Please don't lecture me on how to speak my own language. I am a perfectly competent linguist 'ngiak'. I'll give you some advice though-It is incorrect to refer to oneself in the third person."""
dear sir
is that so?
lecture you on your own language?
shall ngiak read into that?
either you know only one language that you struggle to understand
or you have this belief that you own the language
interesting, indeed
mr perfect linguist readily dishes out advise
but has tremendous difficulty when others answer his questions
there is a word to describe this phenomenon
let's see... it's just at the tip of ngiak's tongue
doubly interesting
third person indeed, ngiak is certainly amused

Does anyone know what Feguson actually meant when he said this a few days ago:
"You get conjecture and you get speculation every week in newspapers unfortunately. And we have to answer these for some reason - why, I don't know, but we have to find a reason without adding insult to any particular club, or embarrassing any particular player. There's nothing we can do about it."

I don't actually really know what he was trying to say-I get that alot when he speaks, sometimes he spews alot of hot air just to deflect a question I think.

Diarra has as much baggage as my last girlfriend, he wouldn't last 2 mins with Sir Alex, he's not good enough like some players for the Boss to turn a blind eye like he has with others in the past I like the sound of M'vaille or the Toulouse boy as our defensive mid player

hey guys if your looking to get one of the top midfielders in the world you could always try for aqualani.hes better than modric a couple of years younger than sneijder. his vision and link play is subline and he would cost less than half the price of sneijder.what do you guys think about that thought-provoking analysis lfc

i actually think , that we won't buy any attacking midfielder, but instead it's going to be the year for anderson.He is 23 and he need to step it up , and sir alex is a believer? and rio also said during his interview, that ando should step up and be the leader of the midfield . I think we should go after m'vila, rodwell, tiote or lass, in order to give anderson more attacking role.

If United will pay 35 million for Sneijder why not pay a bit more for Pastore? He was Argentina's best player and he only played 20 minutes

New Sneijder rumours coming through personally I feel this will drag on until the end of August. It is obviously a complicated deal but we are interested despite Fergie's comments. At least it will keep us all interested in the transfer market until then. Bond's idea of James McCarthy is a great shout he look like he could be a top player in a couple of years time and he would most likely cost 10m maximum. Also has anyone watched much of the Copa America? Has anyone stood out at all? From what I have seen it has been pretty poor.

Man U must to improve the midfield.The good idea for the best midfielder is Eden Hazard and Bastian Schweinsteiger. BS worl class defensive midfielder and E.Hazard is the very powerful attacking midfielder.They're definetely to make Man U the new king in champion league. Thinking about it Fergie.

This is part of what Bryan Robson said in his 1st interview since being diagnosed, with throat cancer

He admitted: All I ll say, and I don t want to go on about it, is that I ve just tried to be really positive towards the treatment.

I ve finished the treatment now. I still have to go back. I ll wait for the next test and see how it goes from there.

The one thing I d say is that I can t thank enough all the football supporters from all around the world that have sent get-well cards and other messages of support.

It s amazing to get such a fantastic response. I ve driven everybody at Old Trafford mad because with me being an ambassador for the club, all the mail went to them so they have had to handle it all.

Get well soon Bryan you are a true gent and a footballing legend.

Blair Mayne YNWA

Ps. Sorry for pasting. {Ed007's Note - Thanks very much Blair, here is a link to the full interview for everyone:

Just watching Argentina vs Uruguay. Pastore is by no means the finished article but certainly is a massive talent who looks effortless on the ball Really impressed

JUAN SEBASTIAN VERON-
'Paul Scholes would turn up and fire off a shot, without warming up, from 50 metres towards the goal even when it was minus five degrees.'

'I did that once and I pulled a muscle from my knee to my hip.'

I am still laughing at this. No wonder Argentinean's hate the Premier League.

I think anderson is good enough to take over from scholes I think he showed how good he could be at the end of last season and I think he should of been picked against barca I think he would have done so much better than giggs in the middle of the park I think are main interest should be a decent holding player mvilla being my prefered option
