Personally i think this would work

--------------De Gea
Rafael----Vidic-----Smalling----Evra
--------M'Villa------Cleverley-------
Valencia------Kagawa-----Rodriguez
---------------Rooney-------------

With Lewandowski bought in as the second striker so maybe kagawa can drop into centre mid and rooney in the whole and lewandowski up top i just think rodrigues is so good at delivering the ball and beating people plus left footed he would be a better option down the left {Ed004's Note - I Still think Evra needs replaced by someone like Izaguirre}

Will people stop saying theres no chance of hazard and we wont sign anyone at the end of the day the glazer know we have to reinvest to get better and to compete and nobody knows how much we have to spend it could be 20million but it could be 100million thats the whole point of a rumours site so people can hope im just like the next superfan i want united to sign hazard kagawa lewandowski etc which arent unrealistic but at least have some faith

Believable3 Unbelievable1

17 May 2012 22:49:09
Do supporters know our cash balance is down by 87m according to today's financial figures. All gone on buying back bonds (Glazer debt). That means from last years 113m cash in the bank, we have only 26m in cash. And that means we have very little to spend on players.

If anyone thinks that Hazard is coming to United, then let me tell you now, it is impossible without selling. If you're Hazard, who would you go to with this financial debt burden on United?

Let the Gill/SAF BS begin!

Does anyone think this team would be gettable

--------------------De Gea---------------------------Rafel----------Jones----Smalling--------------Evra--------------Kagwa------------Modric------------------Valencia------------Rooney-----------------Hazard--------------------Lewandowski----------------------

so say
Modric 35million or a px with carrick or ferdinand
Hazard 38million
Lewandowski 15million
Kagawa 8million

96 million spent

outs
Nani 25million
berbatov 8million
Anderson 12million
Carrick 12million or px
Ferdinand 4million or px
Macheda 3million
Park 2million

67 million if all sold no px

so then a spend of 29million would have to happen which i cant see being a problem if we spent 50 million last summer

A player like Kagawa represents something like our ideal player at the moment, i.e.
- proven quality player (fast, skilfull, high technical ability)
- right age (23)
- right money (£10-12m)

However our interest in him to me signals Uncle Fergus is looking for a player that he can use in a different system. 4-2-3-1 would be the most logical place for Kagawa, a system used to great effect (I hate to say) by our Comedy Club cousins.

We won't spend £40m on Higuain either or £30m on RVP as he is 28. More likely Angelo Henriquez who we have secured first preference on. We only buy young players.

Hope we sell Nani he is to inconsistent and what we need on the left is another valencia. Having 2 fast wingers who love putting the ball in the box is lethal. If Gaitan is as good as all the attention he gets on here i'd use the sle of Nani to buy him.

Team against smaller teams:
DDG
RAF. SMAL. VID. EVRA
MARTINEZ
VAL. NANI
KAG
RVP. ROO
Against bigger teams same back four:
MART
VAL. NANI
KAG. ROO
RVP.
Only 3 players bought costing about 60-70 mill.
Also a formation that can have Rooney, kagawa and rvp.
Add clyne and maybe a left back if we had the money and I think we would have a good season!

He's a top scorer from Asian Cup.

Yann M'villla
Moussa Sissoko
Arturo Vidal
Gokhan Inler
Kwadwo Asamoah
Andrea Poli
Walter Gargano

Does anyone think that any of these are even close to javi martinez's ability

IMO Yann Mvilla and Arturo Vidal and Moussa Sissoko should be looked at as they are cheaper and just as good {Ed004's Note - None of them are near the quality of Martinez imo}

Inter Milan ace Wesley Sneijder has told Christian Eriksen he's not ready for a big club move away.

The Ajax attacker is a target for Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea.

But Sneijder told BT: "In about two years Christian Eriksen will be ready for a bigger club, but not now.

"Eriksen can be a key player for Ajax in the coming season, and maybe one more season, then he may begin to think about changing clubs."

However, Sneijder added: "If Real Madrid or Barcelona come after him, he must leave immediately, because at those two clubs, you can improve yourself - even if you only train and do not play many matches."

Alex Ferguson is to offer a new 4 year take it or leave it deal to Nani. Nani currently has 18 months left on his contract and if Nani decides to leave it... United will be looking to sell him in the summer and will listen to offers of around £30 million.

Wow! With the transfer window around the corner, people seem to be losing their heads alittle. The transfer fees people are quoting are absolutely ridiculous. I mean, higuain 19m? Martinez 20m? Marcelo 10m? Sneijder 15?
IMO, realistic transfer fees for a number of players would be:
1. Neymar, over £45m
2. Higuain, Lioente(sp) falcao, benzema, cavani would all cost in the range of £35m- £45m
3. Hazard, bale, di maria, Ozil, Martinez, Modric possibly £30m- £40m
4. Sneijder, van persie, marcelo, rodriguez, gaitan, between £20m- £30m
for the player we might be releasing, we could recover:
-evra £5m
-berba £8m
-park £2m
-anderson £8m

Millz {Ed004's Note - I think we could get a bit more for Evra. After all he is our captain and the likes of PSG, Anzi etc will want him because he is a big name... Well I hope anyways}

Am i the only one who thinks we should play 4231 with kagawa left attacking mid as he can come in and go outwide like mata and david silva which would then allow nani to be sold for 25 million which will be used towards a central midfield player like modric martinez mvilla etc and then we shall bring in lewandowski as he is young and has resale value in the future if we have to sell him unlike RVP who is injury prone will cost more is older and higher wages too big of a risk

so my team

De Gea
Rafael Vidic Smalling Evra/Cissokho
Carrick/Cleverley Modric/martinez
Valencia Rooney Kagawa/Young
Lewandowski/Hernandez

I dont think that is asking too much tbh as most will be funded by nani berba macheda anderson maybe ferdinand and maybe carricks departure plus if we have more available than i think then we could try for another cm or a better striker than lewandowski but i think he is a top talent especially at his age

I personally think that Hazard will end up going to city, based on my theory that: if he was coming to united, he wouldn't be so open about the move. Fergie usually ensures players say nothing (e.g. de gea, smalling, jones, young, even Kagawa is being a bit coy which is a good sign) until we have them nailed on to sign, and Hazard seems to enjoy talking openly about moving. Hope I'm wrong though! What do you guys think?

Eden Hazard will snub Manchester United and join Manchester City this summer, according to City midfielder Samir Nasri.
Hazard is also target for Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham after recently confirming he will move to the Premier League this summer, but the two Manchester rivals have been seen as frontrunners in the battle to secure his services for some time.
The 21-year-old, who will likely cost around £30million, earlier this week confirmed he will soon unveil where he will be playing next season.
And Nasri believes Hazard will join the newly-crowned Premier League champions.
"I think [Eden] Hazard will come to City," Nasri told the Daily Mirror.
"There is already one Belgian in the squad in Vincent [Kompany].
"He's a young, talented player and at Manchester United there are a lot of people on the wings.
"I was in the same position last year and I chose City, and I don't regret my choice."
Reports in France in recent days have claimed City are closing in on a deal for Hazard, with a pre-season friendly against Lille believed to be part of any deal to take the midfielder to the Etihad Stadium.
The club recently gave the Belgium international a tour of the property market in the area.
---------------------------------------------------
Draw your own conclusions but in my opinion i think he's off to City and not because of the above.
I do think that Vincent Company will be a big factor and so will the money.

I just love the way Nasri slotted in "i chose Man City" when he was told to go away by United after his agent wanted more money and then he came back cup in hand when Man City wouldn't give him the money he was after and Man United said you had your chance, you don't get another with us.
Then he slates his former club Arsenal....what a lovely man he is!
Loyalty....what doesb that mean?

As much as I would like to RVP in a Utd shirt next season or even a Torres as think its something we def need.I don't believe Gills statements at all, there's always excuse to cover when doesn't happen. So expect the normal Utd policy of we will buy younger players who we hope be at Utd for length of time or will be good sell on value. So RVP at 28 for what will cost in total can't see it.It seems Kagawa is a deffinate target&its more likely that Lewandowski would also be the forward targeted at 24 cheaper&also the pos option of putting Berba in the deal.Eden Hazard also a Utd target meets the Utd policy&is either some exceptional player that fergie feels we should go all out for or then is somethin pos happening with Nani, which for last couple seasons been dif stories&fergie is getting replacement in. If with sales he can get deals done for around £50 spent then I believe that will be his transfer budget done

"The main priority for Eden is one thing: Games, Opportunities," said the Father of Eden Hazard, Thierry. "It might be better to join a club just below the biggest"

Once again, most likely nothing, but it still could be an indication. This is the one I want the most this summer, he will be the difference between 1st and 2nd next season, provided he adapts ofcourse.

We can hope and pray ;)

----------------------- De Gea -------------------------Rafael------Vidic---------Ferdy/Smalling--- Evra--------------- Carrick-------------Cleverley---------------Valencia----------Rooney-----Young/hazard/gaitan---------------------Lewandowski--------------------

I can see us buying lewandowski and kagawa for a joint fee of 22 -25 million but then where do you play kagawa in central midfield with carrick or behind the striker and use lewandowski as second fiddle to rooney? im thinking we will sign kagawa use him sparingly while he develops his tackling then he wil be moved into central midfield because scholes couldnt tackle but he was great or maybe fergie will try and do a david silva type thing and play kagawa wide left cutting in as he would have more space he has pace to take people and he is a great passer and finisher maye that would work so then no mega money winger is bought in nani gets sold and that frees up alot of money for left back and centre mid

Lots of people will disagree with me having kagawa outwide coming in from the left will open up space for the full back to overlap more and it will create more space he is a great passer has pace and a good finisher so coming in with through balls and also being able to cross still like a juan mata/david silva calibre then it would work wonders

So glad we're getting Owen and Berbatov off the wage bill, does this mean we will be in for players like Hazard and RVP? I'm not so sure. We need a striker If Owen and Berba leave, we need a bit of flair on the wings too, I've never been a massive fan of Nani's he's too inconsistant although capable of magic at times, Hazard does it every game and would only improve at United. RVP I don't need to even say, he's easily the best striker in the Premier League, carried Arsenal with his goals. I just don't United can go for both? You would everyone rather have? For me it's Hazard..............

TOTAL 65M

OUT:

_____martinez_kagawa______
Toniv_____rooney_____young
________van persie_________

what you think ed? is this team "get able"?
(id be happy with just kagawa an martinez)

JK92 {Ed004's Note - I would honestly love to see that team next season. The only other possible change would be if Nani was sold and someone like Hazard was bought to replace him and played on the left instead of Young}

just an idea. It seems obvious that we're moving to a 4231 style and formation with the pursuit of kagawa and release of owen. Owen hardly played as fourth choice. Moving to one up front he wouldn't play at all. But could we go with rooney up front and go a three behind him van persie, kagawa and valencia? Plenty of rotation with young, nani, welbeck and hernandez. Rooney could drop behind van persie. Just a thought. Unlikely i think but a thought.

I think we will try and get 2 attacking players and a right back.

I think Kagawa and Modric just to add that creativity in the middle and possibly Debuchy, Van Der Wiel, or someone Fergie has been scouting (maicon) from inter as they are not in champions league and as 31 could give experience and help rafael???

We will only look at Hazard if we get a decent offer for Nani (from Juventus)

You never know nani has not signed a new deal yet and something might already be arranged?

what you think edd?

jple23 {Ed004's Note - I think we need a left back before we sign a right back}

to be honest i think well get kagawa fergies already had talks hazard loads of rumours with him he wont come to man u if anyone city with higher wages van persie is a 50 50 but i got a feeling hell stay at arsenal if the snieder rumour stays at the fact hell leave in summer man u will get him i think man u will get mbiwa or manga also well try and get danny simpson {Ed004's Note - I am struggling to see how we could play Kagawa, RVP and Rooney in the same team. I am not sure what Fergie is planning for next year. Was the match at sunderland his way of showing us that he plans to opt for 4-5-1 next season or is he trying to highlight what formation he is going to be playing next year by trying to sign a forward like RVP (ie 4-2-3-1). Now obviously I want the team to be built around Rooney but I am not sure where he is better. In a 4-2-3-1 with a quality striker ahead of him and a dictating midfielder behind him. Or up top alone in a 4-3-3 with creativity from midfield supplying him... I am not sure yet}

i thank michael owen for his time at the club, such a shame he got so many injuries as i think he could have been a good success. will always be remembered for his derby winner i think. Always spoke sense, and with dignity, even now, he thanks everyone at the club. i hope someone in the prem gives him ago. personally think he would do a brill job at wigan or somewhere.

surely him going must mean money will be spent. he was kept last year as a cheaper option (as quoted by many fans) with him going berbs going and macheda leaves us with only 3 first team strikers. we are not far away from a quality side.

It appears were going for a striker, Berb and Owen are going, so what about Falaco? He's been put up for sale by Atheltico. We looked at him last year. Or more realistically Lewandowski, Kagwa is a dead cert in my books, rumours of him being sold for between 5-9mill which is a bargain! Hazard wont be going to us boys, which is a shame. We need a new right back, and a centre mid! Need one that can play, but will sit in front of the back 4, because we conceded too many this year. Eriksen is staying at Ajax for another season, so what attacking options are we after?

I see its not just the supporters of Liverpool that are delusional when their managing director stated that Dog Leashes appointment was not a mistake and that he did great work and brought the club forward and has left a legacy ? Ha ha what is he on about ?

Why sack him then !

Also their loyalty to the cheat Suarez has been in vain after he said he dreams of playing in spain in the near future....delighted for them but I suppose now they will say he is not much good doesnt score enough goals !

Too many people would happily have a team like this...

---------Julio Cesar-----------

Alves---vidic---martinez---alba

Hazard--modric--kagawa--bale

--------rooney--RVP----------

But where is your faith in our players? I cant understand why you all think we need to destroy our current squad when in truth our lads were not that bad last season, only beaten by goal difference and a team that has truly class players. We had a bad European experience this season but that was just a one off. Fergie admited it was his fault we were not as good as we should have been.

We need 2-3 good players and dont get me wrong I get excited too when we are linked with big players but I dont like to see our players instantly thrown out of the squad.

Just wondering, if we do buy Kagawa (looks likely), would that mean our only possible formation with him starting would be with one striker? Just some people were saying if RVP came in (unlikely) then Kagawa behind him and Rooney would be amazing, but I can't see how that would work?

what are everyone's opinions on anderson?

at the start of the season he was in fine form, the cleverley - anderson partnership really worked.

i hope anderson is given one more season to find his fitness before he is sold. he's an adventurous passer and creative. albeit he doesn't have the best finish but he's only 24 and could still be a top player for united.

hey everyone i have seen numerous people saying RVP is a class signing if we get him at 28 and have to pay 150k a week or more plus 25million ? i think everyone has forgotten that he is actually quite injury prone so why would we risk it ? i would sooner go in for robert lewandowski alot younger a little cheaper and could lead our frontline for 10 years imo he is the ruud van nistelrooy type player that we need with rooney dropping short he wil get service from our midfield especially if we sign kagawa aswell as they link up superbly as seen for dortmund so say we bought thm two thats probably 22 - 25million all together same as RVP and it would be less wages probably for both together than him plus then we can sell berba, nani, anderson and park and that can free up 40 + million for a central midfielder and a left back

With berbatov and owen leaving it is now getting more believable that SAF will sign a striker. van persie would make a great signing for us. united can offer him a salary in the region of 150 k (berba + owen salary)...it will be upto him to be honest. city will offer him crazy money without doubt. but I hope he choses us.

additionally, SAF will sign kagawa. thats pretty much certain. also saf will sign one of hazard/gaitan/costa/ramirez....

a full back will be bought but no big names.

I'm sure somewhere i saw an article with Fergie saying he doesn't need or want a specialised defensive midfield player. He prefers to have a Carrick mould type. A good passer out from the back that can stop attacks by cutting out passes.

You don't need big powerful players, just players with good technique & ball retention. If you keep the ball & create more chances that where games are won.

Carrick is a great passer of the ball, sideways & backwards most the time but keeps possession.
Anderson has changed his game from the erratic charging into oppositions halves. He now has changed his style to quick tempo 1-2's & 3-4's with Cleverley.
Scholes is the most important player to be used carefully next season. Come on as a sub to slow the game down if we need to see a game out. When he starts games his 40 yard passes out wide to start attacks are important to our build up play.

It seems our midfield players have good connections.
Carrick plays his best with Scholes.
Cleverley & Anderson show potential but probably need a Carrick to sit behind them in a 4-3-3.
Fletcher & Giggs have played well against teams like Chelsea before but are both on their last legs.

We need a first team replacement for Scholes. One of.......
Modric 40m Sneijder 30m, Alacantra 25m, Sahin 20m.
A better price would be one of the two later. We offered a fee last season but one preferred Madrid and one wanted to fight for his place at Barca.
Back up player will be Petrucci after a good loan spell 2012-13 season.

Giggs is being replaced with either Kagawa 12m or Gaitan 22m.

Fletcher will try, struggle then sadly breakdown. I'm sure he
will be replaced next season by Tunnicliffe.

So come 2013-14 season our positions will look like
GK DDG, Lindegaard, Johnstone. (Amos sold)
RB Rafael, Clyne, M.Keane (Jones & Smalling back up)
CB Vidic, Evans, Smalling, Jones (backup Rio & M.Keane
LB Fabio, Fryers, Blackett (Evra sold) (Evans back up)
RW Valencia, Nani, Cole
The main 4 MIDFIELDERS will be absolute quality for the future. If Anderson or Cleverley have an injured season I would buy the other bracket midfield star next season.
CM Carrick, (Alacantra or Sahin) Anderson, Cleverley, (Petrucci, Tunnicliffe) (Scholes retired)
LW Young, Gaitan, Brady (Park sold, Giggs retired)
Fergie likes 4 strikers (youth back up)
CF/AM/Hole Rooney, Kagawa, (Lingard or Januzaj).
FWD Welbeck, Chicharito, (W.Keane)

With that Midfield for 2012-13 and 2013-14 Fergie might win 20 then 21 Titles and the 4th & 5th European Cup to really knock Liverpool off their "F-ing" perch.

Let's regain our title then retain it for the next two years and drive an open bus right past the Etihad Stadium to show them what real class looks like.

Why do some of us guys underrate Carrick like that,if there is a player we need in our midfield alongside Scholes its definately Michael,lets just look to find players to bolster and help Carrick in the midfield,i believe with the good additions and people will realise his full potential which he produced when playing along Hagreaves and Fletcher on our way to Champions League glory.....,so lets not go for impulse buying just because we either need star players or new players,lets go for players who will give us satisfaction and enjoy watching the team...,Did you know there are a lot of players in our league who we can add to our squad and make a difference both in form and discipline more than the so-called Hazards and Martinezes who are expensive whom i believe also began at zero,underrated as the ones we underrate now by calling them not gud enuf for us........e.g we ignored Witsel when he was at Standard Liege but we now cry out for him becoz he has become an almost finished product in Portugal,NO guys lets make them finished products at United like Ronaldo..........So my INs are ~ Dembele(fulham),,Fellaine(Everton),,Baines(Everton),,Clyne(Palace),,Kovacic(Zagreb),,Powel(Crewe),,Wels(bradford),,Kagawa(Dortmund),,Lewandowski(Dortmund)..........Ed is anything wrong with starting our own project....:? {Ed004's Note - Nope but sometimes you need ready made quality. We already have enough youngsters in the club}

united team for next season (providing that pogba 1 stays)

De Gea/Lindegaard
Evra
Smalling/Evans/Ferdinand
Vidic
Clyne/Jones/Rafael
Pogba
Carrick/Cleverley/Scholes/Anderson
Valencia/Young
Nani/Gaitan/Giggs
Kagawa
Rooney/Hernandez/Welbeck

This means our summer transfers would be Gaitan, Kagawa and Clyne. I also would recommend a young quality LB to eventually fill Evra's place and if Pogba is going to leave then we should break the bank for Martinez or cheaper options of Cabaye or Tiote at Newcastle or even Strootman of PSV. what do yous think of that?

Why people always talk about money when or if a player goes elsewhere instead of us!?

We must have more arguments than money to convince a player. Already stories about Kagawa meet Wenger and people are already saying that we don't want players that play for money. We're not the only team in the world and any normal team who wants to fight for trophies wants the best available players, so do we.

Players have preferences and goals for their own. Kagawa, Hazard and any other will decide whats is best for his career no matter what the fans think. The biggest problem for most of this players is that if Barca and Madrid come on their way, they go.

We like commitment but want to get rid of Nani, a player that several times said that Old Trafford was his home

1.NOW when Pep has left barca is there any chance of barca stars leaving in this window?

2.is clyne good enough to play for us?

3.we have a very good history of losing out on star players.. so will that happen again??

4.How many young players are expected from reserves to play in first team next season?

I was thinking of our squad today and the central midfielders we have at our disposal next year. Carrick, Scholes, Cleverley, Fletcher, Anderson, Pogba, and Tunners. If Fletcher gets better and is able to play next season and Pogba agrees to stay, do we need another midfielder? Many United supporters are calling for a central midfielder that adds some steel reinforcement to our ranks. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that exactly what Pogba is (was) supposed to be? Tall, young, talented, and pretty much everything we want in a midfielder. Isn't he able to get stuck in and be a deep lying midfielder?

---------Pogba------Carrick----------
-Tony---------Kagawa--------Nani-

I think a lot of our transfer targets may depend on Pogba's decision. If he decides to go, I think that Fletcher is a good partner to Carrick behind the play, always running and not afraid to get stuck in. But, this is the second season he has missed good portions of. If Pogba decides to go, many of us are calling for Javi Martinez. Unfortunately, I do not think he is a realistic target, as he is Spanish and if either Madrid or Barca come calling I feel as though it's a lost cause. The next best player in my eyes is Yann M'Vila. I think that Wegner has tied him up at Aresnal. I think it may be worth to try to pry Sami Khedira away from Mardid. I think the German international has proved himself both for club and country. These are just my thoughts and nothing more.
Cheers,
Sparty On
