Fabulous today my favourite performance of the season by miles.
To see pogba and ibra back and the way the crowd respond was heart warming, add to that the fact we came back from a goal down and it was close to a perfect day.

Shout out to big Rom and Martial today too .

Good post Deano!

Pogba! Wow! To put in a performance like that after several weeks out injured was nothing short of magnificent! Single handily dragged us back into the game in a period when we were second best! Well deserved standing ovation!

On a side note fair play to Mourinho it was a very attacking line up and we played some great stuff in the second half! Throughly enjoyable Saturday afternoon.

It was fun to watch today and a good win. Fair play to Newcastle who didn’t just come to defend though.

Thought they were very good the 1st half hour eric and jonjo shelvey range of passing is magnificent but we were brilliant 2nd half and made the game look very easy I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Very good game today. No way would Jose play that attacking against a top team.

Caution was thrown to the wind. Tony and Young were offering genuine width. Mata at 10 worked for me, especially with pace all around him and Pogba and Matic puling the strings in behind.

Martial and Rashford played well forward and we always had numbers in the box.

Only surprise for me was that when Ibra came on Lukaku was pushed wide - I think that tells us where Jose sees him fitting in. Not at 10 as I had hoped.

Very accomplished performance. Pogba gives us that something special in midfield, you can see there's a big difference compared to when it's Matic and Herrera. Not really sure on Herrera, apart from covering a lot of ground, I don't think he does much. Was glad to see Martial and Rashford start with Lukkaku aswell. Thought Matic did his job brilliantly. Glad Lukkaku got his goal too. Onwards and upwards.

What you saying about that one beast?

Believable5 Unbelievable2

18 Nov 2017 21:04:43
I may not be beast but I think a reality check is needed. We played a very average Newcastle team who almost went 2 0 up. Defensively they caved in after we equalised. Yes we played better today and Pogba back is a huge plus but we are still miles off where we need to be. Both fullbacks need replacing. left fullback is a no Brainer for anyone to see and as much as I do love Tony V for his work ethic the fact remains he is far too limited going forward espec being so one footed. Most decent teams know to show him inside and that stops him crossing. Even if he does make it outside on his right foot the majority of his crosses are not good enough. Wait til we play the top teams and then see how well we do.

Well hendon we are 3 of the top 6 teams in now. Won lost and drawn 1 each.

I was shocked to lose to chelsea and shocked we beat spurs as i had that the opposite way around. I actually bet on 0-0 draw with pool.

Our test will be city, and tbf i think it will be a very tough test.

Better performance, next 2 games should be similar with a tricky one against Arsenal after that. Nice to have Pogba back, good to see both Rash and Martial start. Newcastle could have been 2-0 up very easily though and they would have camped then like Huddersfield.

Result is what we expect and decent performance against weak opposition. We can see how our rivals are smashing teams as well though so I don't think everything is "fixed".

Very attacking lineup today and no miki in the squad.

Lets see how they play.

Hoping we destroy them.

Poch Poch Poch. I love you thy Poch.

Believable0 Unbelievable6

18 Nov 2017 15:45:23
🤣🤣🤣 not often i route for arsenal but today i did.

1 because spurs r right behind us and 2 because some of our fans have elevated poch as the new messiah and pep has been dumped.

Agree1 Disagree6

{Ed0333's Note - I don’t understand all this Poch-bashing. Just because you lose a game doesn’t make you a bad manager. Does that mean Harry Kane is rubbish too?

18 Nov 2017 15:57:28
No ed not at all.

Its just a little uncomfortable to read the love in that our fans have for poch and some want him at utd NOW and jose gone.

Poch is a very good manager and i wanted gunners to win because him and spurs are a threat to our title challenge.

Agree1 Disagree6

{Ed0333's Note - If I was a United fan mate I’d have Poch over Jose all day every day. Don’t you want to your team to entertain you when you watch them play? Or is all about the result?

18 Nov 2017 16:08:39
Im not sure Tottenham fans were entertained today.

🤣 that's what makes the beautiful game interesting ed. We could both watch a game and have completely different opinions on what we have seen.

Welcome ed 0333 well entertained today. Some nice stuff played. A little frustrating at times too. Rash frustrated me a bit today but that's what you get watching a player learn as he goes. Pogba was very good and his movement is the fulcrum for most of our good play. To be fair when he has played tbis season we look and have been very good at times. Only negative was lindelof who had another nervy game. His slip was unfortunate he just can't buy a break but he was nervy both before and after that. If he does come through this poor spell and becomes a big player it will be a turn around of epic proportions. I still have blind faith that he will come good but he has not shown himself in a good light so far. The epl is a tough and unforgiving enviroment for a nervy cb so he needs to get tough quickly.
Great result and some really good football today.

{Ed0333's Note - thanks for the welcome Ken. I watched your game on mute because I had Spanish commentary and unfortunately I don’t understand Spanish. But I’m not a fan of your play admittedly but as 001 says you get results and it’s a results based industry. Enjoy your 3 points mate

Thank you Chris Coleman for all you've done, bizzare move for me Sunderland but good luck. I see that Giggsy is fave for the Welsh job, I guess we've a history of appointing untested managers so maybe it'll be good for him. Or maybe as one Ed predicts Pulis will be sacked after defeat today and it'll be him.
Know it's not united related but thoughts on Giggs as an international manager?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

18 Nov 2017 10:38:31
I though Giggs had just taken a job?

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Nov 2017 10:42:23
WRD - Coleman strikes me as a bit sharper and certainly a lot more experienced than Giggs (managed overseas and 2 British clubs) . I appreciate Coleman isn't the best manager in the world but he has charisma and will have learnt from mistakes he made during his earlier years managing.

I wouldn't touch Giggs with a bargepole, for him to have not had a job since retiring strikes me as a flaky, I imagine as soon as the going gets tough he will simply walk away - he clearly has illusions of how capable he is. International Managers don't get much time with their players, so it requires a strong personality, decisiveness and passion, which I think Giggs lacks. He also doesn't strike me as the sharpest tool in the box, so with a lack of experience, lack of umpfh, it is a pure lottery. He'd be learning as he goes and Wales are in a great position, would be a shame for the players you have at the minute to be wasted by somebody so inexperienced.

Pulis would be by far the better option imo, i'd rather Robbie Savage than Giggs and that's saying something.

Agree3 Disagree1

18 Nov 2017 10:55:30
Yeah saw summat about Giggs going somewhere, can’t even recall, he’s fave with the bookmakers atm, Pulis would be a safe pair of hands imo, agree their beast. Unsure what to make of Giggs, maybe would bring a diff style to wales but is a big risk isn’t it. We shall see.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Nov 2017 11:50:49
I like coleman as a manager and would take him in a heartbeat for the england job as we have now exhausted all possible english managers.

Giggs (who is an absolute UTD legend to me) is deluded if he thinks he's up to the wales job. Who in their right mind takes an international managers job with no managerial experience!?!?!

Although its a win-win for giggs because if he does well then great and if he's abysmal then its no different from the other british teams and their managers over the years.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Nov 2017 13:48:35
Well others have gone into international management before club management. Wales have a history of that sort of appointment.

{Ed001's Note - I agree, I wouldn't want to call most of the games today, they could go either way.}

Yup. The obvious is not always obvious especially after international breaks. Who knows what these break does to the minds with f the players let alone their physical. Just look at Jones! Not sure what the hell Southgate is trying to prove unless Jones has stupidly requested to played trying to give up his career. Beginning to believe Jones really has no grey matters between his ears.
But well I can only say he is really patriotic 🤣.
Thanks again Eds.
