What is today's poll all about eds? :-)
Personally i think chipss hould definitely be banned, a large donner kebab is perfectly ok though, or Anderson daily super size triple whopper meal.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

I have very fond memories of Chips. I would play youth football every Sunday morning. And every week, the night before a game, I would sit down at half past five for Chips. Officers Poncherello and Baker were so cool back then. :)

Betty you know there is a new series starting next year? Will take me back to my childhood but I doubt it would be as good as the original.

Not sure where the debate .................

Believable11 Unbelievable6

{Ed002's Note - Your repeated need to include teams or formations in every post results in everyone else losing their hard work. It is a great pity that you continue to spoil it for everyone. I have warned you repeatedly about this and am certain others are upset, but you persist.}

I didn't include a team, I spoke of the midfield. If it is not possible to say how a player fits in then that is ridiculous. It's not like I did a team line up.

{Ed002's Note - You are obsessed with typing numbers that may or may not add up to ten. I am more than happy to delete your posts and everyone else's that you are wrecking until you learn or move on - your decision. But make it quick as it is fouling up everyone else.}

Not sure where the debate has dissapeared to but a poster stated earlier that Ronaldo signing would force Januzaj out of the club. Now, I can't agree with this and here is why. It would be good to have as many comments as possible on this!

For me, Januzaj will never be a number 9 and that is where I firmly believe we would see Ronaldo operate if he returned. He is getting older and with that, your game adapts - I doubt we would see the full pitch runs with the ball for too many more season. However what he does have his fantastic ability in and outside the box and like Falcao, he in the right place at the right time (not to mention set pieces etc). This makes him an ideal front man that can roam quite a bit with Rooney in the hole as the number 10.

Conversely, Januzaj is better either deeper, or wider. Di Maria, Mata and Rooney are the ones standing in Januzaj's way - not Ronaldo. Januzaj would he happiest at number 10 but he will struggle to get games there. He would also be good in the Di Maria role of the midfield 3 but he won't play regularly there.

Ultimately he has to force his way in past these guys but also learn from them. We cannot say we don't want the world's best player because we have Januzaj.

Believable5 Unbelievable9

You're crazy, ronaldo dosent get tied down to one position and i certainly wouldn't expect it to be number 9 if he did, the team is built around him, he goes left, he goes right, he goes threw the middle, he just goes where ever he wants because he's numero uno.

Agree4 Disagree3

Fresh mate, please tell me you're not going to bang on about Ronaldo for the next year. I'm not keen, due to his age and the on incredible financial sums that will be involved. I'm not convinced he is desperate to come back, he will want world record wages and there comes a point where it doesn't make sense. He may be the world's best player but that doesn't mean signing him is a no brainier. I'd rather develop our own to complement who we have bought. Our need is CB and CM, not another forward.

Agree11 Disagree3

Well AJH all i want for christmas is a defender and a midfielder

Agree3 Disagree1

With all due respect, its a stupid idea to move Januzaj down the pecking order by bringing Ronaldo for that crazy money and few years. Developing Januzaj will give us a star for the next ten years. And then there is something called team balance. With half that money, we could sign a world beater defender and a midfielder which will give our team the perfect balance.
I completely agree with AJH. Spot on.
I would vote NO to Ronaldo, hands down.

Agree5 Disagree1

Get over it Ronaldo won't come back every season Ronaldo isn't smiling he is unhappy he is going back to united its a pain in the a. and when he signs new contracts i'm delighted because he is not leaving for a little while

Agree1 Disagree0

Without wishing to put anybody down (apart from the mother in law) all this talk of should we / shouldn't we vis Ronaldo /Januzai it all sounds rather nieve. How often would we be able to play our "best" eleven. Injuries, suspensions or fatigue would dictate not very often! If we get the chance to acquire the best player in the world GET HIM !! Would Real let him go - I don't think so. We are about building a quality SQUAD- Januzai is vital. LVG knows that!!

Just like to say good luck to Ole after leaving Cardiff, no idea why he went there in the first place but I hope someone offers him a job sooner rather than later, he could be a top manager one day.

Believable4 Unbelievable2

I think it just goes to show how you can be very intelligent and study the game to the max but it doesn't necessarily mean you have what it takes to get the best out of those players when you first start managing - experience is vital.

I'm sure he will come good eventually, but kind of like Giggs you need to do the hard yards before getting the top jobs 99.9% of the time.

Joining the Vincent Tan machine was a big mistake for somebody of such little experience, you need to be tough and streetwise to keep your job with a guy like that in charge.

The phrase hospital pass was invented for the Cardiff Manager's job.

Amazing to remember that not that long ago Solskjaer was being suggested by some as a Utd manager. Now Cardiff are sacking him, after a dismal set of results, lucky he didn't come to us!

Believable4 Unbelievable6

Mutual termination is hardly sacking

Ole is better than being suggested, I think top players find it hard going into jobs as a manager where the level is something they are not used to, ala Roy Keane.

Agree0 Disagree3

Ole is a top bloke. Clough was sacked by Leeds and many others have had poor spells. Wrong club, wrong time

Agree0 Disagree0

Chris there are some exceptions to your assertion . Kenny Dalglish, Franz Beckenbauer, Mario Zagallo, Pep Guardiola, Johan Cruyff, and a few others
