What do people think about Ever Banega I know he's just got injured but I personally think he would be a great addition for around 15-20million. He is one good footballer

Liverpool posters on here fascinate me or more the reason for what can only be described as an obsession.

I thought I would have a look at the Liverpool banter page and we are not on there in the same numbers as they are on here, nor are our supporters making some of the outrageous claims the Liverpool supporters are making on here. There does appear to be an obsession with United and a rather desperate attempt to persuade people (themselves perhaps) that Liverpool are a genuine challenger to us (and City).

It is interesting as through the 70's and 80's whenever we got to a cup final, semi final it was instantly belittled because only the league mattered. I was much younger then but I would make outrageous claims that we were ready to take their place, yet season after season cup finals or a decent run in the cup meant little and the Liverpool fans laughed at that. Even our league victories mattered little.

So as people seem to get hot under the collar as the latest wind up merchant arrives remember Liverpool have preached for all my 44 years of being able to remember watching United that only the league matters. So just smile at the latest attempts, yes they are having a better season and for the first time in years are through to the lowest level cup competition but it is only the league that matters and that is their own ingrained belief.

Hi Guys

Went to Ajax on Thursday. Brilliant trip.

Just one point, we got kept in at the end of the game briefly before leaving and being held up on the stairwells for a bit.

At the end of the game. All the Ajax players congregate in the centre circle then walk round all four stands clapping home and away fans. They got a brilliant reception by the United fans including myself.

Now as if my respect for that great club couldn't get any higher. The players then made their way in to the disabled section and stopped for photographs.

How often do you see that in this country?

I am sure my fellow Manchester United fans and the Liverpool fans who frequent this site these days would agree. Ajax of Amsterdam European Football Aristocracy

so the reds go marching on in the FA cup. A cup final at wembely next week and a great chance of the FA cup. And despite throwing away numerous points in the league are only 4 points adrift of 4th place and are looking the strongest of the competitors. Which brings me to my point. you may be 2nd and comfortably in the top 4, but you will not win the league. You are in the europa and have a chance but there are decent sides who I think can better you. So who is having the BETTER of the seasons! we are in a tranistion period and coming through it strong and playing well. still a lot of room for improvement of course but have a chance of two trophy's, whereas you do not, so jog on mancs :) By the way I've been a way for a while so congratulations on winning your cup final against us last week. closest thing to a cup final for you all season anyway.

From my knowledge benatia is Moroccan so wouldn't that mean he'd be going away to the African cup of nations every other year? Hope I'm wrong though!

In light of the Modric rumours today (i'm not saying that any of it is accurate) - what are the opinions of people on this site? I think he would immediatly improve us however i'm not sure it would be £40 million or more brilliantly spent.

I also don't think a midfield of him and Cleverly would work either, they would not be physical enough and probably would not break up the play quite so well. I think we should sign a decent central midfielder (depending on outgoings/retirements) and see how it shapes up.

In 1986 the World Cup in
Mexico,Uruguay eliminated Scotland after a scoreless draw.At the
end of the match the coach of Uruguay,Omar Borras, turned to the
Scotland coach to shake hands. The Scot, who is frustrated by his
team's elimination,however,refused to shake hands.The name of
this coach? Alex Ferguson!

The Mirror says Ferguson understood to have been set a spending limit of around £30m to spend in the summer, Gaitan looks to be out of reach - unless he raises additional funds through player sales.

30mil limit if true shows the glazers r bleeding the club dry

Gaitan hope he goes to citeh

Gareth Bale believes the hype a bit too much, he's gone off the boil a bit recently. Not that I think we could afford either, but who would people rather have, Bale or Sturridge?

Just for fun who are your three favourite players currently in the first team?

Mine are Cleverley, Hernandez and Jones as all of them seem to love playing for the club and play with a passion and a smile.

I feel Pirlo is in the same class as of Scholes.
Milan were stupid to let him go.

Poor boy, go easy on him!
