Can I just say I know it is the Derby this weekend but let me tell you people Manchester doesn't care, it is still buzzing about the 29th and 30th of June when its sons come home to regain what is rightfully theirs. This is the one. RAINFISHTROMBONE

I have to say credit where it's due. I always dispised Gary Neville when he played for you but he's an excellent pundit. I think he's very honest and unbiased and that deserves to be acknowledged. Many of my fellow LFC fans would not admit it but I think the combo of him & Redknapp is refreshing and has helped to restore the rep of sky sports after those totally biased, arrogant and pathetic sexists Gray & Keys. Like I say it may not be popular with my mates but even my bias can be put aside when someone changes my opinion of them by their behaviour,,, he was horrible on the pitch though! ALB

I recorded every EPL game we have played so far this season. Liverpool and City fans will put it down to us "losing it" but quite frankly that isnt the case. What we ARE missing is most definately Cleverley. The dynamics of his game helped bring out the best in many of our players. Eg. Anderson, Rooney. He may not seem to shine as in a big named player but the passing he can bring to our game is what we are so dearly missing. I re-watched the Tottenham and Arsenal games last night and i gotta say he is one of if not THE only player in our team who took just enough time on the ball to play in and pick out the crucial passes leading to our brilliant attacking displays.

Gotta admit, Cleverley is slowly taking over Chicharito as my favourite player. And once he is back to full fitness and settled back into the game, the whole team's performance is going to be picked up.

We were unlucky last night, dont get me wrong we did have some parts of the game that we were poor in possession. But i feel we lacked conviction moreover possession.

What do you guys think? Agree with my idea of cleverley being the missing piece? Or not? Would love to hear your guys thoughts on this.

May i just remind the doubters that UTD are in a transisional period at the moment. We all knew this would happen one day and most wanted it to happen. Lets just ride the storm and reserve judgement till the end of the season.... HERBIE

I'm extremely worried about our squad and at the way utd are playing the moment!along with the way fergie is lining out the team lately(eg. -V-liverpool)anyone else think that fergie getting alot wrong this season!because I don't think we will b able to compete with likes of Bayern Munich, real Madrid or barca this season if we even get to play them in the later stages or even win the league this season!

As a United fan it kills me to say this, but i think we have lost the fear factor that we had in 2008 with Ronaldo, Tevez, Berbatov and Rooney as our main men..really want Ronaldo back - maybe its possible maybe its not - if not him then someone with height, power, skill and 50 goals a season.

Last nights result was attrocious and anyone who disagrees is deluded! Since when did Anderson become our best CM? How did that happen? I would urge anyone who believes this to be true to go on youtube and look at the highlights of his porto days, cos you will see that he was very quick and skillful and operated very effectively from the wings and scored some great goals and was actually being hailed as the new Ronaldinho (as if) which is why he was signed, its only since about 2 years after signing for united that he has switched to the defensive midfield role which is probably because he was so ineffective in the role they signed him for initially, and he doesnt get near enough goals.

Anderson is bang average along with Park and Fletcher and then you have Carrick who is so boring and ineffective it makes you cry everytime you see him play, he shouldnt be there, he should have been moved on the season after we beat Chelsea in the CL cos he has been absolutley awful ever since. 17 goals since 2006 is just abysmal for a professional "creative" midfielder, in fact its actually shocking how poor he is.

Also Valencia seems to have lost the ability to take on players, I dont think he beat his marker once last night and was probably the worst player on the pitch which is quite worrying as he was signed as Ronaldos replacement! You have to be honest and say SAF has made a few mistakes and not replacing Ronaldo has meant the team no longer strike fear into even the smallest teams in Europe which was evident last night.

Whilst I really dont like the thoughts of it, I think the Glaziers will still be in charge after SAF retires and I think thats when the real decline will start, the man has been more important than anyone else at the club for 25 years and that includes some of the worlds best footballers ever, so I think it might be fair to say that unless the Glaziers are prepared to start shelling out money like City (which they wont as they are only after their own profits) then any trophy we get over the next 2 to 3 years will likely be the last for a good few years, you only need to look at liverpool to realise thats a distinct possibility, I sincerely hope Im wrong though!

Im an LFC fan but would just like to offer my opinions on staurdays game and the euro game last night. I have never seen Fergie play 4 6 0 before which was both a surprise and a major compliment to Liverpool. Clearly he knows the current midielders at United are not good enough with top teams, expect to see a lot more of this as the season progresses. Losing Scholes has been a big blow for SAF, and he has clearly not been replaced. Be honest hes still playing Giggs cos he got no other options in midfield, the mans nearly 40 years old !

Against Basle, united were worse than average, there was no creativity whatsoever, especially in midfield.

If this continues, I fully expect to see a slow decline in uniteds performances, lack of confidence with the players, heads will go down and the supporters will turn against both the team and SAF. There are no more vociferous supporters in the land when united lose, you have had good success and will demand instant results, but being a good supporter is also about getting behind the team in the dark days. The dark clouds are gathering and if SAF doesnt do something about it very quickly, there are going to be a lot of very angry supporters about.

You have not really had a bad period in the last few years and lets be honest you have been very lucky to have won the league on a number of occasions in recent years. This last statement is not meant to be a wind up, and if your really honest with yourselves, I think a lot of you decent supporters would agree. How many times in recent years have you thought phew, that was a lucky win?

City are now looking a real possibility to win the title and go on a run. If united lose against City, everything Ive said above will happen, its happened to all the great teams in the past.

ps to Ferdinand saying how surprised he was that Charlie Adams, an 11 stone man running at 10 mph could fall over if touched on his foot...look back at last seasons FA cup match in the first minute..Berbatov falling over at 0 mph when his shirt was touched, Nani, Ronaldo, the list is endless ? United are famous for it and he knows it.

Disappointed with the performance last night like everyone else. It was poor but the points are in the bag. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but people seem to be saying the same things for the last 12 months about centre mid, berba etc.
Just a thought lads but its derby day this weekend and we are all over the teams back and slating our players. No wonder fans from other clubs come on here to wind us up. This weekend we have to have a big performance and the club needs all the fans to be positive.

This aint a personal attack on anyone. Just our mentality that we are manchester united, you are small so we will crush you by 7 goals! Its got to stop. Tues night, romania, unknown team - I'd be happy with three points.

United just not scare anybody anymore, all the teams play with huge confidence that they can take something from us. Does not matter with who we play against, we struggle to control possession. we definitely need a CM and a Striker that can dribble, fast and skillful. Hernandez is a good goalscorer but when we need somebody to keep the ball on the feet, he's not the one!
