G.A.G.U.S my friend you have been keeping my posts from July which I find a little creepy but maybe just maybe there is a little agenda hear and your bosses and master who we shall refer to as the Glazers would like to see me discredited. You would not be the first on this site to try and discredit anyone who is anti Glazer by any means possible. If this is not the case please explain why you are collecting my posts and re printing them two months later?. G.A.G.U.S. your card is marked.RAINFISHTROMBONE

Actually Rainfish, it's not very hard to find it in the archives. I remember the date because I was at a wedding that day(I have a pretty good memory). So no I haven't been saving your posts. And the Glazers being my masters? Don't make me laugh. The Glazers are one the few things I agree with you about.

We did look exposed defensively at times against Chelsea. What you gain in an attacking sence by playing both Young and Nani, you lose defensively.

Last season SAF played both Valencia and Park in important games when he could, both far more aware of their defensive responsibilities than Young and Nani.

It will be interesting who SAF opts for when we play other big teams further into the season, especially away from home.

I agree with the notion its exciting to watch, we score they score we score more don't care much for the mistakes as its pretty much expected with a transition period. The difference is our transition allied with chelseas liverpools arsenals is still producing and streets ahead albiet gung ho but dammit we're being entertained. Our club spirit gives us the edge on city and totts won't challenge for the title Doomsayers will have it.. wait till we slip up we'll get found out.. It might happen but greatest start since way way back you gotta ask yourself when are you supposed to enjoy it if not now? Cons red

SAF intends to put Pogba in the Leeds United game. This year is important to see his maturity improve. This year he will stay with us but next year a loan is an option. No worries, Cleverley was on a loan last year and look at his progress.

I was reading the conversation between GAN and Sydney regarding United supporters in India. Will someone please explain to me why you support United when you have no connection to the club geographically or socially. If you are from Cornwall or Birmingham or London and have no connection to Manchester why do you support United. I would love someone to give me a sensible answer to this as I can only think of one answer and it contains the words glory and hunters. RAINFISHTROMBONE

After reading this I think RFT sucks. And will be deliberately skipping his posts from now on.

What a pretentious knob.

Utd would be nowhere without their global fan base. They'd simply have never made enough money to still be competative these days if they only had a few million fans from Lancashire.

RFT - you are an person dude.

P.s - got a lush new Utd shirt with Cantona 7 on the back today. I'm not from Manchester and I started my love affair with Utd as a glory hunting 6 year old at school.

Utd team for tomorrow:-

Lindegaard

Fabio Jones Evans Evra

Valencia Fletcher/Carrick Pogba/Giggs Park

Berbatov Owen?/Macheda

Could possibly see Giggs play behind Berbatov so then we could play Pogba alongside Fletcher/Carrick and give a Park Giggs Berba, Valencia etc much need match time.

What do people think?

Is Owen back yet?

i know we are playing very good attacking football but isn't anyone else concerned about how many goal scoring chances the opponents are getting against us?

i love this new style of playing.. We're so completely naive this season, we're all out attack and if the other team score a goal we dont care because we just score 2 ! Is extremely positive to watch.. I really dont know how far this type of playing will carry us, i keep thinking of arsenal and how the throug a lot of seasons looked good but the just where not able to keep the high level going through the whole season

This is the post from Rainfish that caused so much controversy a while ago. Now, he says he 'asked' why people who don't live in Manchester support United. Yet, you may notice the end where he calls them glory hunters. Now, Rainfish, I don't want everyone here to have an agenda against you and I don't want anyone to insult you or lambast you again, but to suggest you only asked when you clearly did much more than that is stretching the truth a little bit, isn't it?

I would go for gorcuff or sahin or ganso {Ed004's Note - Sahin just signed for Madrid, Gourcuff has flopped at every big club and Ganso wants to go Milan and is an attacking midfielder who can not defend. If we are looking at players who could play the Man Utd style, Martinez and Modric}

everyone is saying that we need a new centre mid with names like gotze and kagawa being thrown around.. personally i would like a cheeky bid for Jack Wilshere he must have some ambition and he aint going to win anything at arsenal.. what does everyone think?

fergy confirms that pogba is set to start against leeds on tuesday he also goes on to say.

"It's more difficult to loan a boy of 18 who's come from France," explained the manager.

"We prefer to keep him with us until we find he's mature enough to possibly go on loan. Maybe next year that could be an option but we're definitely expecting him this season to stay with Manchester United"

Hey everyone just wanted to ask you why do you think players prefer barca and RM over EPL teams with the exception of Man Sh**ty (cause they can pay a lot)??
I think its because of the English weather, players choose sunny weather and good salaries are there so its an add on. Another important reason would be smoking hot senoritas and great nightclubs.

How many of u think we need to buy a new centre midfielder. I think we don't have gud cover in the centre. I think we sud buy someone in January or Summer. Who do u think we sud/will buy ed. Also guys u might have forgotten but "Mr.Awesome" Ferguson will retire at some point & we'll have to replace him. Ed who do u think sud get the job. I think Guardiola, Mourinho, AVB, David Moyes all are g8 & deserve the job. Who do u fancy ed, syd & others. (DEEPENDRA) {Ed007's Note - I fancy Hayley McQueen, but I think Neil Lennon should get the job ;-)

Mancini said after the game that they needed more players. That guy is playing FIFA 11.
I think Mancini can sign 75 of the best, 25 to play in the BPL, 25 to play in the domestic cups and another 25 to play in the CL. If that is not enough, Man City can set up affiliate club in La Liga and Bundesliga and sign another 50!
By default, Man City will win everything because the other clubs will have no footballers left!

they say luck evens itself out over time , but watching utd i have to say this is erroneous , i am not saying this as a bitter liverpool supporter , but the amount of lucky balls that fall your way , the refs calls, the linesmens calls , great forwards missing open goals , the amount of defected goals you get , this leads me to belive that saf has made a pact with that little red devil with the pitchfork , its the only logical reasonable opinion i can come to , your not a bad team but hell even you lot must admit its spooky.........lfc {Ed007's Note - That doesn't sound bitter at all lfc............it really doesn't ;-)

Now i'll be the first to say that Carrick hasn't been the same since the Bayern game, this is because of a loss of confidence. He hasn't just lost his ability overnight, his passing is as good as it's ever been he's just not confident enough to pass it forward like he used to. If you don't believe me just watch our 7-1 demolition of Roma again and watch how Carrick was the best player on the pitch that day, he ran and dominated the game. So he's still a good player, but do you really think booing him will up his confidence and return him to the player he was? no it won't, I'm with Rainfish on this one and feel it a disgrace to ever boo anyone who is wearing the shirt. He needs our support not our boos and nasty comments on fourms, i you were a player don't you think you'd look online to see wat the fans are saying about you? and seeing some of the comments on here before how do you think he would have felt if he'd seen them? do you think it'd improve his confidence? Lets do as our name says and be united, get behind all the players and cheer our boys onto more success.

with chica being injured does anyone no how far welbeck is from coming back.

If United were to play Barca today then I would pick Welbeck over Chica.
I'm not saying he is a bad player, he has an excellent eye for goal but he needs frequent crosses from the sides. He can run very fast on long balls and get in front of defenders and get free kicks and penalties and a booking for defenders but he is offside 90 percent of the times. Chica needs to work on his passing, dribbling and one on one skills.
Welbeck on the other hand makes goals for others, has good passing abilities and can dribble past the defenders. He may not be that good on crosses but he takes the play forward. Everyone will defer on this one with me but I'd like to hear your opinions.

{Ed004's Note - RFT is a very negative person, the glass is also half empty}...........I am sorry I don't know you Ed004 and I can't remember having any dealings with you, but if I was you i would look at what i am trying to achieve before you call me negative.
1. I am fighting against a money grabbing American Leech who is sucking money out of this club for his own personal gain and not that of the club and its supporters.

2. I dislike the club being held to ransom from some scourer for the sake of higher wages under the pretence of wanting reassurances. When he had agreed to join City for more money.

3. I may criticise players on this site but I would never criticise them at the ground or moan when they pass the ball.

4. I dared to ask over the summer why people who had no connection geographically or emotionally would support the club. I did not criticise them I only asked.

I expect editors to be a little more intelligent than the average ranters on this site and see the bigger picture. Hopefully in the future you will look deeper. RAINFISHTROMBONE {Ed001's Note - all the editors are different RFT, 004 is very much a blind faith type, he always thinks everything is perfect with regards to United.}

Hate to take the conversation away from United.. but:

Despite the obvious flaws in his game today I think Torres was WAY better than he has been. That goal will give him confidence. Nice to see him trying the overhead kick as well. Some the runs he made through our back four today really did remind me of his best games at Liverpool.

I think he'll do well this season. Although please don't remind me I said this if he continues to be a massive flop.

Joe {Ed007's Note - Your comment, name and IP are noted, bookmarked and burnt into a microchip that I will keep with me until such times as I can use it ;-)

Nobody seems to have pointed out that we missed Rafael de Silva , Vidic and Ferdinand today. That's three of the best defenders in the world. And still we won.

At the beginning of the transfer window when alot of people were calling for Nani to be sold I got shot down for saying Nani has settled into english football faster than Ronaldo.
Ronaldo was alot more frustrating to watch than Nani but people seem to have short memories. I'm not saying Nani will ever reach the level of Ronaldo but hopefully he can kick on again this season and improve.
