Don't you find it Ironic that teams that have suffered a tragedy or a near tragedy and who's supporters say "Oh it put's things into perspective are the same supporters who regularly sang about Munich and who no doubt will do again without seeing the irony as they pass gates commemorating the dead or pass tributes left by other clubs for one of their players and then chant about the dead from the stands. There is no place for these sick chants in the game and that goes also for Old Trafford where i have heard sickening chants sung in retaliation. For those old enough like me to have regularly seen flags celebrating our disaster like at the 77 cup final and at European final then it just saddens me to think that we would sink to that level. We should be so much more. There are families in Liverpool and Juventus who want answers and justice as to why their husbands sons and daughters didn't come home and there are families like my own who lost members on a runway in Munich. So certain supporters need to take a long look at themselves in the mirror. I AM KLOOT {Ed001's Note - that's more like it, an excellent post, thanks for redoing it. Doing these sites I am often sickened by the depths people will stoop to in order to have a dig at their rivals.}

If we are to compete in europe next season were going to need a larger than usual overhaul this summer. Heres what I would say is a likely list of targets.
RB- Clyne, Debuchy
CM-Barkley, Hazard, Munian, Modric
ST-Damiao, Llorente, Benzema/Higuain

Personally i reckon the most likely 3/4 depending on CM signings. What would people think about signing Clyne, Barkley, Modric, Damiao (Personally prefer benzema)??

Nice to see Ravel Morrison's move is paying off for him. He's a regular in the West Ham atm... Jokes aside, it's clear his move can't have been for playing time, nor would he have wanted to move down south, so that only leaves one more thing... $$$$$$

Messi has now scored 33 league goals this season, the same amount as the whole Liverpool team combined in the EPL.

FredtheRed

Are you daft? How does saying a player (that was taking a few pelters a couple of months ago) has now proved the doubters wrong and me along with a few supporters of him right (Toni), constitute me getting on a 'moral high horse'? Do you understand what that means? Which morals am I standing for? I am rather confused?

Both Toni and Pogba are not getting any posts on here anymore slating them for whatever reason so that proves the point I was making, that the doubters have gone quiet. No doubt because they are playing well / getting some game time now respectively.

I see you never answered my questions, if Pogba did sign on for more money or the question on Rooney?

I think you must be missing the irony in having a go at me for some supposed 'moral' stance when you are having a rant about a lack of 'morals' that Pogba and his agent are apparently showing?

Seen as it is not SAF's personal wealth that will pay Pogba's contract that guarantees there is more than SAF, Pogba and his agent in the know. The fact YOU then added Gill yourself proves that haha.

The fact you are having a moan about grammar and spelling in posts on an Internet fans forum makes me think your the one being a tad childish. If all you can do is pick others grammar up then maybe you should not involve your mighty self in these conversations. I also did not shout 'I am right'. I merely showed how those doubting posters disappearing has proved peoples faith in Toni's quality and that Pogba is good enough to play, correct!

As a last point. You are using an excuse of predictive text for your spelling mistakes but then continue on to say 'there is no excuse other than laziness or stupidity'.

Hmmmmm, I shall let you fester on that one!

Ok, it seems like the picture is getting clearer for summer. I think the following will sign.

Clyne
Hazard
Van Wolfswinkel

We'll sell Berba, Park, Macheda, De laet, Owen (free), and of course Tomas K. We may sell one of vidic or Ferdinand (big shout), especially Vida if Anzi bid big.

I think Keane will be the 5th striker as he is highly rated. We'll see a bit of game time for Tunnicliffe as he is highly rated, but I think Pogba is off.

I don't think this enough signings as I'd like a left back as Evra has been poor, and I'd love Martinez, but I don't think that will happen. Anyway, that's what I heard...commence slating.

Berba's agent has stated that Berba will look to leave in the summer, that SAF sees him as too slow and not in his first team plans going forwards. Dimi seems to understand that and apparently both parties (club and player) will look to make a transfer happen this summer, with both sides promisisng not to put up obstacles (I assume in terms of money and destination)

The article also states that Berba is embarrassed at earning a good wage and not playing for it

Bravo to Berba I say...not saying the article is 100% truth but it does sound like he is being gracious about his current position within our squad. I am in no doubt that he will move on without fuss in the summer, and if called upon before then he will give us 100% effort

I think people should lay off Berba TBH, theres been some pretty harch critisism of his work ethic, attitude etc. But in truth he has given his all for us even is that didnt always come across due to his languid playing style....

Good luck Berba, wherever you end up!

I think our ideal signings for the summer would be Martinez, modric and higuain but the cost of signing the 3 and being able to seems very unlikely. I think 3 more we should look at are cabaye, witzel and rvp. I know it wouldnt be easy to get these either but i think it could be done. Cabaye has it all, really good player who would only get better at utd, witzel seems very underrated to me, hardly gets a mention but propper box to box player who chips in with goals(something our current mids lack). And Rvp, hardly needs explaining, i think he'd fancy o.t and teaming up with Wayne, cant see him staying at arsenal.

Any thought? And remember its just opinion!

sorry my mistake jordan rhodes turned twenty two last month. Still wouldn't have him at united though. If he was that good a top championship or lower end premier league club would have picked him up by now. Just don't see the sense in going for a third division player. Would you suggest buying the top scorer in serie c? No you wouldn't. So why suggest division three players? I'd rather give will keane the chance to prove himself.

" Why does he even get posted ed, nobody wants him here and his opinions are ridiculous and to wind people up. I get that it is banter but he doesn't listen to anyone's opinion and comes on here with deluded scouse blinkers on talking a load of rubbish and he gets posted every time.

He only turns up when Liverpool do something good and when they lose a match he disappears for days and pretends he has 'been away'. I bet he isn't away the day after the semi final if Liverpool win, but probably has a long trip planned if that is the end of their season

I very rarely scroll down GDS mate but I just read this. So sorry for the late response. Do you realise how foolish you sound here? I only come on 'when Liverpool do something good'? Correct me if i'm wrong buddy but didn't United go top of the league on Sunday, for the 1st time in 6-7 months?

Yet I found the time out of my busy schedule, to post my superior football knowledge. Man up mate and stop whining, you sound like Pauline Fowler. Only Pauline Fowler probably had bigger plums.

Who would you rather sign to play left wing,

James Rodriguez, Iker Muinian or Eden Hazard?

I'd rather have Rodriguez as he's a natural Lefty and I feel he'll grown into the best player.

With our recent defeat to AB and the fact that most would consider Barca & RM to be the top 2 clubs side in the world at the minute, ******** published a list of 10 young spanish players that maybe available this summer.

10. Alvaro Dominguez (Atletico Madrid)
Adaptable defender who is now a firm part of Vicente del Bosque’s Spanish senior set-up, due his first full cap after being named in recent squads

9. Ander Herrera (Athletic Bilbao)
Former Real Zaragoza man is coming of age at San Mames

8. Martin Montoya (Barcelona)
Spanish Under 21 international struggling to make an impact at Barcelona but no doubt a right back with an abundance of talent.

7. Rodrigo Moreno (Benfica)
Pint sized striker doing well at Benfica and could be keen on Premier League return after loan spell at Bolton.

6. Jordi Alba (Valencia)
Young full back is coming on leaps and bounds and could be of great interest if he impresses at the Euro 2012 finals.

5. Oscar de Marcos (Athletic Bilbao)
His goals against Man United, and his all round play, could well have tempted a few prospective suitors.

4. Thiago Alcantara (Barcelona)
Top notch midfielder who is by no means a regular at the Nou Camp and attracting a lot of prospective interest in England.

3. Javi Martinez (Athletic Bilbao)
Mountain of a midfielder and a player with the physical stature to do well in the Premier League.

2. Cristian Tello (Barcelona)
Barcelona youngster out of contract this summer, on his way to England?

1. Iker Muniain (Athletic Bilbao)
Young starlet impressed greatly as Athletic Bilbao strolled past Man United. Spanish football fans have been marveling at the teenagers talents for some time and now he’s firmly on the Premier League radar.

If we could get 3 who would everyone want and in what order.

Mine would be;

1. Martinez
2. Muniain
3. Alcantara

We want a solid player to break up things in the middle, a player who could bring that spark from midfield and possibly a right back as cover well if you want value in the market how about you go for Claudio Yacob, Mateo Kovacic and Nathaniel Clyne all would cost you nothing(apart from compo with Kovacic and Clyne). Then we could spend our money on a left back to replace Evra someone to for the left wing and someone to play in the hole allowing us to push Rooney back upfront. With the money raised from selling Berbatov, Evra and Nani we could have 35-40m at least raised from sales, bring in Cissokho, Hazard and Yarmolenko and we could have 6 new players for little more than a net cost of 15m that surely has to be good value in the market.

All this talk of signing Izaguirre really gets my goat, he has had 1 good season, granted he's had a bad injury, but he can't even get a game for an average Celtic side that generally plays young welsh LB Adam Mattews in that postion. To replace Evra with Izagguirre would be another "bebe" disaster!

A trillion pound bid for messi may well be on their mind.

I don't understand why some of the guys keep slagging the twins...Yeah they're mostly injured but most of the time when they do play they deliver. If I have to choose between Richards,Walker and the Twins,I'll choose the twins. Also remember unlike those two(Richards and Walker) they hardly get a check in even when they're fit but also remember,Smalling and Jones did a fantastic job in the centre and on RB when they played.Sometimes we need to gamble with these type of players...Who knows they might just turn out to be the best when fully fit.Diego-06

Apparently Barca want our Da Silva twins and if United where to sell i would be very dissapointed.
I hope the interest In our young Full back twins from the Catalans will show some of our fans that they are very good players with a good and long future ahead of themselves!

I hope the interest is only rumours and if it wasn't what do people think on SAF selling them? Will he be interested in selling them?!

I find the talk of Cleverley and the twins not being good enough ridiculous.

Cleverley has just come back after being out injured for some time. Look at Valencia when he got injured playing for Ecuador in the summer and missed pre-season. It took him some time to find form and people were saying he was past it, he should be sold etc and now everyones saying what a top player he is.

Far to many people are choppy with their comments on here and base there opinions on a game to game basis. i.e now he's good , now he's bad etc.

Evans is a fantastic example of how a run in the first team can help develop consistency and form. I have previously slated Evans on here before along with alot of other people on here. But he has to be up there with Rooney and Valencia as first names on the team sheet now.

I think Fabio should be playing LB and Rafael at RB until the end of the season and keep Jones and Smalling as back up CB in case Evans or more likely Rio gets injured. It makes sense to at least play Rafael at RB as he adds alot to the side in terms of hims enthusiams, determination and energy. Albeit he can be rash but he is young still. Fabio deserves a chance at LB as Evra doesn't seem interested in defending. He attacks but doesn't defend and teams seem to pick him out as our weakness now. This in turn means whoever plays LW has to play more defensively as Evra lack of tracking back means the LW in question ends up playing more like a WB.

All in all when Cleverley gets a good run of games and his form returns, he will return to how he played before he got injured.

Guys, I was thinking if SAF should bring Steve Bruce as an assistant manager. He is available now. When SAF retires, sooner rather than later, there needs to be a smooth transition. Brucie can learn a lot from SAF. Brucie also respects and listens to SAF (buying of Oshea and brown). Under the guidance of SAF, there is not question he can become Sir Steve Bruce!
