Got a feeling this coming week might give us one or two signings .Im led to believe the players report back in the first week of july so you would think LVG would want everybody there together and all having a strong pre season .That doesn't leave many days for Mr Woodward to work his magic and keep his promise to the manager and get any new signings on the USA tour

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed004's Note - I hope you're right}

22 Jun 2015 00:09:19
I like your optimism and hope you're right.

Schweinsteiger and Otamendi look the most likely to come through the door next, but it wasn't too long ago that we thought we had Dani Alves and Schneiderlin.

Agree1 Disagree0

22 Jun 2015 01:39:17
Fresh you said the same about Hummels last month lol

Agree1 Disagree3

22 Jun 2015 02:21:01
A mate who is fairly well connected has told me 3 deals are in place and will be announced very soon. Believe what you will. Makes sense if you think about as hummels/otamendi have been linked and otamendi in particular is unlikely to remain at his current club. Same can be said about gundogan and carvalho as well as other midfielders linked to us. Then firmino is another supposedly coming to England. Are the 3 deals done Otamendi, gundogan and firmino? All will be revealed soon as lvg wants the business done early.

Agree3 Disagree3

22 Jun 2015 07:08:22
Hope you're right!

Weighing up all rumours etc, and if 3 deals are in place, I think they'd be:

Firmino, Otamendi and Schweinsteiger

Think Schneiderlin will go to Arsenal and Gundogan to Bayern

Agree1 Disagree1

22 Jun 2015 09:45:08
I think Clyne, Firmino and Schweinsteiger will be the three.

Hopefully Vidal and a CB to come.

Agree0 Disagree2

22 Jun 2015 11:27:22
Yes I know I did JMB.

And Beast, do you think we will get Clyne? He seems Liverpool bound since we dropped our interest. It wouldn't surprise me if we go for Van der Wiel instead.

I think you may be right about Firmino and Schweinsteiger . Otamendi too.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jun 2015 12:32:33
You're all being ridiculous!

The three are: Gaitan/Sneijder/Ronaldo

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jun 2015 12:35:18
theres that many names being thrown about its hard to say who we will buy, makes for an interesting transfer window, i hope we get them in before pre season

but with the adidas deal not commencing until 1st august i believe we are saving our biggest transfer(or a few transfers) for then so they can be unveiled in an adidas top(just a theory) but who that is, is anyones guess.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jun 2015 17:51:07
Football doesn't work like that .Look at Messi and Ronaldo both wear kits made by their sponsors main rivals

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jun 2015 22:19:36
50m for Kane? I don't think so.

But that Lingard kiddie looked good, maybe we should stick a bid in for him.

Believable8 Unbelievable2

22 Jun 2015 01:39:55
Yes let's beat Kane with a stick after one bad game.

Agree8 Disagree3

22 Jun 2015 06:09:08
Like what you've Don there JMB 😄

Agree1 Disagree0

22 Jun 2015 06:29:04
Jmb I think the point was 50m Kane is not worth that much 25-30m tops imo

Agree2 Disagree0

22 Jun 2015 10:27:17
JMB, My point is he is a good player. But currently massively over priced.

How much do you think he would have cost On January 1st?

He had 6 league goals at that point, 8 if you include the two he actually against Chelsea on the 1st of January.

Spurs would have entertained bids of 12-15m last summer, you would have been able to buy him for around 18m in Januray at most. Now six months later he's worth 50m?

Did he not have the same potential last summer that he has currently?
So what your paying an extra 30-35m for is a good six months of form? Is that really how it works? If he has a good six months at the start of next season will he be worth 80m? and a Good six months between next January and July and add another 30m? 110m for him next summer if he has a good season next year?
Also how much would Harry Kane be if he was Scottish or French?

Which deal sounds better to you?

Harry Kane for 50m or Aguero for 38m or Alexis Sanchez for 32m or Diego Costa for 32m?

Harry Kane is a good player, but is worth 25m tops. Even in this market. But people are getting ahead of themselves, first off he plays for Spurs his boyhood club and a club he has no intention of leaving any time soon. And secondly even if he was to leave Spurs we are dealing with Levy, a man who won't sell you a player unless you pay twice their actual valuation.

Lets move on, we could buy either Benzema or Lewandowski for less and both are proven over more than six months and both have top level champions league and international experience.

Kane is a good player, but nowhere near as good as the media would have you believe yet. He could be that good in the future but he isn't there atm.

Agree6 Disagree4

22 Jun 2015 13:38:44
And that's 2 bad games in a row now just to be pedantic

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jun 2015 19:54:19
Hi Guys

After watching the U21's today does anybody think we should spend between £40 and £50 million for Harry Kane.I thought he was very average and I thought that Danny Ings was slightly more impressive.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

21 Jun 2015 20:10:54
I like Ings and would have been happy if we had bought him. I think he has huge potential and it will be interesting to see how he does at Liverpool. Kane is good but the suggested price is ridiculous. Kane or Benzema? There's no debate, Benzema every time, (or add your own European proven goal scorer).

Agree1 Disagree1

21 Jun 2015 20:43:36
Lewandowski for me

Agree4 Disagree1

21 Jun 2015 22:04:55
AJH - Picking a dream team 99% of people would pick Benzema over Kane. I just think this specific team and this style of play needs a Kane type player more than a Benzema. I can imagine a lot of games with Benzema hardly getting involved like RVP or Falcao, but Kane will make things happen despite not having the pedigree/reputation of Benzema.

It all depends on what the gaffer does in the summer with the tactics, we need a better alternative to El Capitano if we want to win things though.

Agree1 Disagree6

22 Jun 2015 01:19:46
Beast, unlike RVP or Falcao, Benzema doesn't need others to create his chances for him, he can do that himself. He has the pace, strength and skill to be more than just a poacher, just look at all the chances he makes for Bale & Ronaldo at Madrid.

Agree1 Disagree0

22 Jun 2015 07:20:55
Beast, have you ever watched Benzema? He can make things happen by himself and is a better Kane type player than Kane is lol!

Agree1 Disagree0

22 Jun 2015 08:47:44
I have watched Benzema dozens of times, he is anonymous most games I have watched him and just like ADM benefits from defenders not being able to focus 100% on him because of who he plays with. You would have said the same thing to me about RVP and Falcao last season!

Agree1 Disagree4

22 Jun 2015 11:20:15
Benzema will come grudgingly as he's not really interested in coming to United. His agent has suggested that too. So the last player we need is benzema.
Lewandawski will be a sensational signing. But why would he leave Bayern?
Kane at £25m will be excellent and he will improve. He's only young so has potential. But if Levi is going to be asking £45m for him then we should stay well clear.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jun 2015 11:41:52
Kane create something out of nothing? And benzema can't?

Another blinding comment from beast. You really see what you want don't you?

Agree4 Disagree0

21 Jun 2015 18:53:32
Jesse Lingard saving the u21s tonight with a great strike! He's looked decent so far this tournament, hopefully he'll get a chance pre season and stay injury free, reckon he could be in and around the first team this year.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

21 Jun 2015 20:12:10
Wilson first, then McNair, then Pereirra, then possibly Lingard but if I'm honest, no.

Agree0 Disagree5

21 Jun 2015 18:26:37
Mandzukic set for Juve medical. So another off our list eyh Ronnie. This also means tevez is moving. maybe.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

21 Jun 2015 20:14:02
Another off our list, what is LVG playing at? There are over 200mon our list but they keep signing for other clubs. Sack Woodward, I can't believe he has let all these players slip thorough our fingers.

Agree4 Disagree1

22 Jun 2015 07:21:36
You have to hand it to Juventus and their wily transfer team - players with potential in quickly (Dybala) decent prices (Dybala, Vidal, Morata) or sometimes free ( Pogba, Khedeira) and rejuvenating players seen as past their best (Tevez and Mandzukic) or wringing every last bit out of them (Pirlo)

No doubt they will use their Pogba money wisely if he goes this year - and they will be a strong force next year again - if not stronger, with 3 great strikers.

Why do we always seem to get taken to the cleaners when it comes to transfers?! Tbh, I can't really think of many shrewd transfer dealings we've done in recent years. (Ronaldo? Or Tevez on loan?)

Agree3 Disagree0

22 Jun 2015 12:42:49
I Agree with AJH! Ings, GONE! Mandzukic, GONE! Khedeira, GONE! Alves SIGNED A NEW CONTRACT! Sack Woodward now.

21 Jun 2015 16:02:46
Apparently we want ramos in exchange for de gea now. Are reporters just going through the entire Madrid team hoping to get one right.

Believable9 Unbelievable0

21 Jun 2015 17:44:32
Yes, that's exactly what they are doing, it becomes more and more obvious every day they have no idea whatsoever.

Agree6 Disagree4

21 Jun 2015 17:47:21
Looks that way. We have no chance of signing Ramos, haha.

Agree4 Disagree0

{Ed004's Note - If I was to put money on it. I reckon Ramos will sign a new deal very soon. Wouldn't complain if we signed Ramos but I think we are more likely after Otamendi}

21 Jun 2015 17:52:25
Wonder how long this one will drag out for until he signs a new £200k a week 5 year deal

Agree2 Disagree0

21 Jun 2015 18:14:32
Yes, would love a deal for Ramos to happen but it won't. I'd also have loved Hummels but he seems to be staying put.

I think it will be Otamendi.

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Jun 2015 18:44:48
Is it possible otamendi could end up partnering varane? Ramos maybe does leave

Agree0 Disagree1

21 Jun 2015 18:47:43
It really is getting ridiculous you have sly transfer centre saying Madrid want Mata and then underneath it "Mata urges De Gea to stay at United it's pathetic I honestly have never seen us linked to as many players !

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Jun 2015 18:49:58
Cant see it happening but bear in mind he use to play RB earlier in his career.

Agree1 Disagree1

21 Jun 2015 19:09:29
Smells of tactical negotiations for a new deal to me.

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Jun 2015 19:16:16
I wouldn't give the Ramos story much credence, the clue is the press stories saying he is so distressed that he has been allowed to get to (shock horror) two years from the end of his contract and not been offered a par salary with other centre backs of his quality. I may be wrong but get the feeling that he will sign a new deal at Madrid very shortly having done what a few do, use our name to get a better deal.

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Jun 2015 20:15:21
I hate Madrid, I hate their players, I hater their culture, I hate every thing they stand for. They are the worst of the worst Nd we should simply ignore them.

Agree6 Disagree1

21 Jun 2015 22:00:39
Amen AJH.

Agree1 Disagree0

22 Jun 2015 11:25:56
Agreed ajh, but wouldn't say no to ronaldo bale verane Ramos modric!
So while they want ddg, we should try to get one or two of their players.
That doesn't mean they'll come, but we should try.
I don't think Ramos will happen but verane might and in the future, bale might as well.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jun 2015 12:15:04
Does anyone know of interest in Krychowiak? I'm not that familiar with him as I don't tend to watch Sevilla. Linked with us for the past couple of days though and would be interested to know more about him!

Believable1 Unbelievable0

21 Jun 2015 13:02:21
He is awesome. He is similar to Matic, can spot danger, has good positioning to break up play and protect the defence. Like a crunching tackle, has decent passing range and accuracy. Was excellent in UEFA cup last season.

I would love him beside schneiderlin and Herrera. It would give us an excellent sitting midfield giving Morgan and Ander the freedom to break forward. He also adds height to the team as we don't have too many players over 6ft.

I think he is just what we need to give a potential new keeper and new CB and RB extra protection while they settle in. Come on Ed sign him and Morgan ASAP.

Agree2 Disagree0

21 Jun 2015 13:17:30
Saw a few Sevilla games towards the end of last season and he impressed me every time
I think he'd be a good signing though given the choice I'd still have a preference for Schneiderlin

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Jun 2015 13:37:43
Hi bilko,
Schneiderlin and krychowiak are different players, krychowiak is a defensive midfielder, schneiderlin is a box to box midfielder.

Think of the polish lad in a similar role to victor wanyama, albeit he is a better all round player than wanyama.

I think if we could sign both we really should. The centre midfield would be sorted for years to come.

Agree2 Disagree0

21 Jun 2015 15:13:04
Reports suggest that he wants a move but won't push for one. I wonder if there is any interest!

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jun 2015 16:42:41
Wouldn't complain if we managed that Huggy , I just reckoned if the talk of us getting Schweinsteiger is true then we'd only sign one more cm along with him

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed004's Note - And hopefully the second cm is better going forward and a replacement for Fellaini}

21 Jun 2015 17:48:11
Agreed ED004. Carrick and Schweinsteiger would cover the deep lying role well.

LVG could of course start Depay and Young as the wingers and play Di Maria in the middle - but I think this is too risky for him.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed004's Note - I think Schweinsteiger is one of a few players who is an actual upgrade on Carrick for us}

21 Jun 2015 18:16:34
Yes I'd say so actually.

Many are saying that he will struggle to adapt to the EPL at his age but the role he will be playing is reliant on technical ability, vision and experience - he is perfect for it. And £7.5 million - could be fantastic value.

21 Jun 2015 11:24:51
Mata biggin up Rafa "what the fact" !!!!

21 Jun 2015 03:28:39
Jose Moonrinho - I see that you enjoy compiling lists and analysing players which from flicking through your previous posts are very interesting reads, I was wondering if you could do a write up of the best U21 prospects throughout Europe and the other continents?

I have been following a little of Euro U21's so far as well as watching some of the South American U20's games but in all honesty I have no idea who is tipped for the top and who is not outwith the home nations. Most of the players I have never heard of yet commentary teams are saying this lad and that lad are regarded very highly.

I would also like your own opinion of what level you believe they could reach (for example top club, mid table prem, will fizzle into obscurity etc). I am sure other fellas who aren't video game junkies who constantly play football manager/fifa (in other words those of us who work and have a real life lol) would appreciate it.

Just a thought mate. Cheers.
