Our attacking play is so lazy and sloppy when we chase a goal. All we do is a simple long ball to Fellaini. Every time we moved the ball quick and worked a nice crossing angle we looked dangerous and put some decent balls in. Players taking the easy route by just pumping it into the box.

When we tried to play football today we created dangerous moments and lacked the final ball. Sanchez was dreadful, I don't know what we have to do for him to look a fraction of the player he did at arsenal?

Mkhitaryan was a better player for us. Also he was on less wages.

Interesting point about Sanchez at Arsenal.

How many of us watched him play entire games at Arsenal? And how many of us saw his highlights on match of the day?

It takes a dedicated fan to regularly watch 90 minutes of another team play, so there is no shame is admitting that you might have only seen him play 90 minutes a handful of times while at Arsenal. With all the rest of your viewing of him coming from the highlights.

To be honest that's probably my experience of seeing Sanchez play for Arsenal.

A freind of mine is an Arsenal fan, and he isn't surprised by Sanchez's form, in fact he expected it.

He said Sanchez was great against the teams you expect to beat and in the games you are on top of. However, he dispears in the game you need him to step up, or the games your under the cosh. His assessment was that is probably why he didn't really make it at a top top club like Barcelona. He hasn't got that ability to really have an impact unless the team is clearly on top. He isn't a big game player.

At least that is what an Arsenal fan and friend thinks anyway.

Arsenal played 1-2 touch style in and around the box which is suited to Sanchez hence he got the goals and assists. Here he is expected to play a different style. I think being so highly paid has made him think that he is so much more better than he actually is. He is trying all these through balls and stuff when he shouldn't and loses the ball. He should just stick to basic for a few matches and then go forward.

Sanchez and lukkaku should be dropped for the next league game after them performance's.

Sanchez is just another poor expensive left sided forward no better than Di Maria or Depay. His time is running out after that performance. Very disappointed 😔😔.

Not seen todays game yet but Rashford and Lukaku the other night were garbage. Rest of the team looked OK. But when pundits talk about battle of the front 3's we're not in even in the premierships top 3 of the front 3, nevermind Europe. They're painful to watch.

I think our attack is more of a problem than our defence.
Never been a fan of Lukaku, Sanchez doesn't seem to fit in and Rashford Martial and Lingard are nowhere near good enough. It never really looks out me we're going to tear anyone apart.

Totally agree Shappy it's hard to usefully critique any player useless you see them play 90 minutes on a regular basis over a sustained period of time. Sanchez is certainly not the kind of player I believed he was nor is Lukaku or even Pogba for that matter.

Sailor - I agree with the 1 and 2 touch pal. Not sure Sanchez suits our style or even if we have one.

993 - Attack and defence are intrinsically linked. We still haven't found a formation or set of players that enable us to attack whilst still being able to defend.

The criticisms of Lukaku and Sanchez are justified but quite frankly we could easily have been 2 down early, and you can't blame them for that.

The game showed both sides of Pogba. For the most part he was excellent and his pass for Fred's goal was a delightfully deft touch. But then he hangs on too long, loses the ball and it leads to their equalizer.

Other than the fact that he got beaten to the byline on at least 2 occasions, Shaw looked good. Valencia, as usual, contributed nothing in attack.

Yes Shaw pogba holds in to the ball too long at the wrong time, when he should be passing he takes too many touches.

I don’t know why people are focusing on Sanchez and Lukaku. Lingard has been awful so far this season, but is an automatic starter. Went missing for most of today, and does nothing to support Valencia on the wing.

Main problem is up top we create little and score next no nothing hence we have a good of 0. Second season with 1 striker at the club says it all. No matter what combination Jose plays they always look abysmyl.

Anybody think the manager might be the problem?

It's a state of limbo at utd, results and finishing positions mean jm just about keeps his job and yet we all know we ain't winning any biggies this season .
We will have weeks where we think that was a great result and others where we think what was that .
I wish it would break one way or another and ideally go on a great run and get people onboard but if not end this . Itl be clearer in the coming weeks we will close the gap up or drift into nothingness as we are approaching the point even the most optimistic start realising it ain't happening again this season .
Back the man he's earned that by what he's achieved even if you don't like how he's done it but draw a line on when it's not good enough .

Shappy I watched a lot of him and he was a far better player than what we have seen at United.
Looks to of lost a yard imo 11 goals last season ( 8 for arsenal) compared to 30 the previous season .
3 goals for United since he signed.
Martial had scored 3 in the previous 5 games before he got dropped for Sanchez,
