'Red Man'

I think it's unfair that you are comparing our great start to Chelsea's start, this time last year. Chelsea's first five games were:

WBA (H)
Wigan (A)
Stoke (H)
West Ham (A)
Blackpool (H)

United's first five were:

WBA (A)
Spurs (H)
Arsenal (H)
Bolton (A)
Chelsea (H)

All five of our games are difficult games on paper, all five of Chelsea's games were ridiculously easy.

If Hargreaves was so cheesed off with Uniteds medical staff why did he offer to play for us for free to prove his fitness? Was it not reported that SAF decided to let him go because he was holding back the young kids coming through? Maybe all this stuff in the papers is misquoted, maybe not. I would prefer to wait until we have it from the horses (or Ginea Pigs) mouth before we cast judgement on the lad.

Does anyone else notice that City "fans" are sh*t at banter. Try and talk to them and they come up with, 'Did ur mum write that?' or 'Back 2 skool little boy'. They have nothing on us, so they are wasting their time.

Hargreaves apparently saying United were the main reason he's been injured for the past two years (according to SSN). What is the need in players coming out with stuff like that when they leave clubs, its just completely unnecessary.

Can I believe what I am reading. So Owen Hargreaves wasn't happy with the medical staff at United. i told you all 6 months ago that they believed it was all in his head which is why Fergie chucked him into the game.. Fergie decided to get rid of him and bring the youth through. So Owen is feeling a little hurt and resentful and says a couple of stupid things. Does that mean he wasn't magnificent for us every time he pulled on the red shirt. And how anyone can give him grief after the Champions league final against Chelsea amazes me. Remember Roy said things about the club and the supporters, it happens when you are a little hurt. Stop being idiots and remember the Owen Hargreaves that always did the shirt proud. Good luck Owen I hope you make a recovery though I doubt it as i feel you are too delicate in your head but you never let us down and this well this is just a lovers tiff from someone who feels rejected by a club who loved him. The squad's in good shape at the moment. Both Hernandez and Welbeck have recovered. Ferdinand should be back as well. Vidic and Cleverley can't be more than a week away. Perhaps a fortnight for Rafael? With the League, League Cup, FA Cup and Champions League there's going to be plenty of game time for everyone. Hopefully once Vidic and Ferdinand are back together, we'll get to see Jones in midfield?

Is nobody else amazed at the comments of hargreaves, given its the same person who said he owed so much to united for all their help and patience.

Unless something has gone on between him and united this summer to upset him, i cannot understand why a player would do this to a club which has supported him through the hard times.

There simply is no loyalty between player and club any more and its a very sad thing!

It's strange that Hargreaves had nothing to say about the United medical team in the months that he was a free agent. 50 minutes of football for City and all this information comes flooding out. I've read all the quotes and I don't think he's taking the opportunity to have a go at United, but there's clearly some bitterness towards the medical team and whoever administered those injections. In hindsight, it's very easy for him blame others for the decisions they made, and I can understand his frustration, but he didn't say no to the injections did he? These things happen. Unfortunately, it's happened to a great footballer and has robbed him of what should have been his best years. I think a fresh start is the best thing Hargreaves could have done for himself. Despite his achievments with United, the bad memories of the last three years outway the good ones. He's desperate to rebuild his career, going as far as making YouTube videos, and I don't blame him for going to City. If the best team in the country let's you go, and the second best team comes calling, of course you're going to take that opportunity? I wish him all the best, I can't say the same about the team he plays for now though.

On the ronaldo debate i cant see him leaving madrid, yes in his final year he will be on a mega wage but when has money ever bothered madrid and also how much would it cost them to replace him.
Would he come back to united , the question is would fergy want him, his a great player but his a one man show, during a time when united are moving towards quick attacking team play with a young team would ronaldo fit in , would he fit in to the barce style of play.
If fergy had the money, would he spend it all on Ronaldo.

If there is any justice, that satellite crashing to earth today will land on Owen Hargreaves' knee. No doubt he will blame United's medical staff!

Now I am NEVER one to believe what I read in the papers or on Sky Sports but if the quotes attributed to Owen Hargreaves are correct then what a 2 faced, unappreciative little worm that man is. He talks about feeling like he is made of glass but perhaps someone should point out that says more about his mental state than it does the condition of his knees. And to say "the people at United were lovely and tried their best but I was left to pick up the peices"....how flaming patronising is that? United couldve very easily cancelled his contract and he wouldve recieved a shed load less than what he was earning during his injury plagued 2 years at OT. Anyway, no more time for getting aggy. Im off for a 90's weekend in an hour and I fear/suspect that due to the odd shandy I may not make it back in great shape. Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast. Peace out.

Havent posted on this for awhile.. Seen a comment about mourinho replacing fergie. 12 months ago
i would have loved it.. But now i dont want him next or near our club. Some of the things he does are disgraceful for football in general. I think if he was our manager he wud make every nutral hate us again like the old days when it was ABU! He thinks the world is against him. I dont want that at united.
