I mentioned yesterday or the day before about Kevin Prince Boateng(before he scored a peach and played excellent against Barca) and heres another name who we haven't been linked to in a long time but i think could be excellent if we resigned him.....Giuseppe Rossi.

He has pace and movement and is a real natural finisher. He is flexible and can play as a lone striker as one of two upfront or in a front three or as a second striker and he does great in anyone of those positions. He knows the club and shouldn't have any problems settling in. it's likely that we could need a new striker in the summer if as expected Berbatov Owen Diouf and Macheda leave, Sir Alex has always said he likes four strikers and to have Rooney Hernandez Welbeck and Rossi would give us options and a new great goal threat.

Would just like to note that I have been saying this! I'm not normally right which is why I'm taking this "I told you so" option but I said a few months ago, and got slated for it - that they would finish top 4 (I realise they have not done that yet) but I'm still counting this.

It's counted..

Nobody can take this away from me!

Hey all,
after watching the Milan, Barca game yesterday (which was very entertaining) I was thinking about who the best teams in Europe are so far this season

1)Barca
2)Madrid
3)Milan
4)Bayern
5)City (pains me to admit)
6)United
7)Napoli
8)Arsenal
9)PSG
10)Dortmund

this is my list after watching a fair amount of each team

So Alan Pardrew? what's everyone thinking? He's done extremely well with Newcastle this season but i have no idea what his career has been like before this season.. Just looked over on the man utd website to see SAF praising him an awful lot. I mean would he be a candidate as a potential replacement manager when SAF actually retires (absolutely dreading the day). What's everyone elses opinion of him?

Even though people come up here saying they are waiting for City to thrash Liverpool but you all have to agree with me that if Liverpool win or draw the match each one of you will be very happy. You might have to listen to the pool supporters for some time but that is nothing compared to the happiness in winning the league.

"Newcastle United winger Gabriel Obertan says he is determined to make a good impression on his return to former club Manchester United this weekend."

It's a shame this boy never worked out. I thought his arms were hilarious. He looked like one of those JackOffs from that southpark episode where they all come back from the future to get jobs.

I miss that boy.

Guys, dont worry to much about the champions league, we will sort it out by then. I know we've gotta get past basel first, but i have no doubt that we will, then we have 10 - 12 games to establish are best eleven, once are players are fit, also we could buy someone just to fill the space until the summer.
Its funny every year we are written of by the media. its either chelsea will storm it, liverpool are coming back, arsenal can do it, tottentham get their usual early season write up and city just need to fart and its the best thing since sliced bread.
at the moment where getting a lot of negatives, but what if we do beat barcelona, real or bayern in the next round. What would the papers be saying then.
Manchester United has a great tradition of turning round when needed. You look at are side at the moment, we have de gea, jones, cleverly, wellbeck and young who have vertually won no major trophies in their careers, YET! they need time to bed in and learn that winning way, so maybe the champions league is a bit to far. Sure you can't call yourself the best team in the world if you don't win your continent trophy, but with time that will come. Remeber 2006 when we only won the league cup that started the era of a great team, Lets get a trophy for the lads that don't know what it feels like to hold one and see where it takes us.
The season has only began and where being wrote off by the media and other fans, their trying to kick us while where down, because they are scared that we are winning while playing poor, what will happen when we start playing well again!!

Lads, I keep hearing alot of people on here going on about Pogba and Morrison and it's clear they are very talented kids. I think we are all aware of the Pogba situation at the moment but i'd like some clarification if anyone has any on Morrison? I understand he has had some up's and down's so far in his personal life and football career but what's his situation currently with United? I have seen rumours that Arsenal, Real Madrid are monitoring his situations but surly he's at the right club to support and develop him and would he want to leave United? Is he a Man Utd fan?

Any info on the lad would be appreciated if anyone has any?

A couple of days back someone suggested the name of Kevin Boateng and the response was that he was good enough. Well last night against Barca he looked decent to me (or he might be having his Michael Carrick day ). Anyways I dont think Milan would want to sell him.

have united been playing bad season..yes we have..not upto the standards set from the previous seasons..
however as far as i remember we always have this one season in between 3-4 good seasons, where the team is in transition, new players sought for positions and the team grinds results out..while the play is utterly frustrating to watch..

it leaves the fans frustrated..i can understand but it isnt a cause for worry..united have always bounced back..even in these off seasons we have managed to pick up a trophy or so..i for one dont care if its the fa or carling cup..a cup is a cup..

so buck up..support the club..if we go out in europe..i would be devastated but the thought that fergie will do something to change that and be back on the top is comforting enough for me..ill take the banter from the otherwise 'cup-dry' fans from other clubs knowing that united will always come back..that is what we are known for..we never give up till the end!

As the January transfer window draws closer with just over a month left, i thought about playing a prediction game, just like we did in the summer, about who we will try to sign.

Here are the current leaders in the "most talked about" list :-

1. Martinez
2. Alba
3. Rodwell
4. Goetze
5. Barkley
6. Higuain
7. Modric (This is more in hope rather than expectation)
8. Any others i may have missed out on.

So who will we chase in January? Pick just one player.

I'l go for Barkley being the one.

Isn't it incredible that Arsenal, the team who were thrashed 8-2 by United, were beaten 4-3 by Blackburn and were wrote off by absolutely everybody, are the only team who can relax on Matchday six and the three teams who were expected to challenge, United, City and Chelsea are facing potential ellimination. If someone had posted that prediction on here a few months ago, they would have been banned!
