I’d like to wish Jose a very Merry Christmas and tell him to cheer up and stop being such a grumpy gills. I’d explain that mood, culture, and behaviours are as important as talent and that creating the right environment will have a huge impact on results and outcomes. I’d also suggest that regularly slagging off your team in public doesn’t really help and that he should accept responsibility for what happens on the pitch whether it be good or bad.

I’d remind him that he is currently the most successful Manager in the game and ask him to think about his first time at Chelsea when he was charming, witty, cheeky, confident, and dare I say it, likeable, and compare it to his second stint at Chelsea when the players downed tools, and consider what is different.

I’d point out that we have some very very good players and as he has a track record of improving players this is an opportunity that has, as yet not been fully embraced.

I’d say thank you and well done for the trophies of last year, the progression we have seen this year, and the promotion of Lingard and regular selection of Rashford. However, I’d point out that whilst you can put lipstick on a pig, it’s still a pig; results are important but style matters at United. I’d sympathise over City’s incredible start but point out that my suggestions might help take the team, and Jose up a level.

I’d shake his hand and tell him that I really want to like him but sometimes he makes it hard to do so. I’d ask him to stop picking needless fights and to unearth his cheeky likeable persona that now seems hidden.

But then what do I know, I’m just a simple fan.

I could not agree more with any post. I was one of the ones who really wanted Jose at United. But as you say, he's got a downer on himself and his players. He's even got a downer on the fans.
He really needs to smile more and transfer some positive energy to the players. If not, I can't see him lasting long and that would be a shame.
Cheer up Jose for God's sake.
