JuSt Two Words;

Where's Blair?

ED? Anyone.... seems to me that, Blair and Lfc are one of the same, well couldn't tell apart these scousers, they all look the same with their Decades old PL trophy grim and a knack to think that caroll's even worth 10 quids.....(And Ed, great piece on sydney uppercutting a horse, made my day)

Can't wait for Cleverly to come back he seems to be abe to move the ball very quickly and has great link play with Anderson. Since his injury weve looked slow in middle and have struggled to get the ball to Nani and Young especially against Stoke.

Denis Irwin highlighted in the sunday world today that there has been more shots on uniteds goal than united have created.Do you think these stats show that we despertely need a denfensive midfielder?we will be punished if we play that open in the later stages of the champions league.Also some of you are still crying out for a creative midfielder??wtf

An interesting stat that raised some concern's on my part was that De Gea has made the most saves in the Premier League this season. For a team hoping to win the League and challenge for the Champions League, we seem to be conceding a lot of chances and allowing teams to take shots from dangerous positions. This needs to be solved quickly, because eventually we will be caught out. The return of Vidic can't come soon enough. Anyone know when he is available again?

G.A.G.U.S {Ed007's Note - AF said on Friday that he will be out longer than expected. I don't think there has been any new time scale put on it GAGUS.}

Hey Bond.... Do me a favour mate and ask Ed001 why he is'nt posting my comments on the Liverpool banter page, its good clean banter but I sense a little bitterness going on.... HERBIE {Ed001's Note - you posted what would be easily seen as slander, one post and it was deleted. Now you come on here whining about it? Not every post can be posted, if I have to deal with cry babies throwing their toys out of their pram each time a post is rejected I may as well shut down the sites now.}

Your living in an arrogant dream world lad. Whiskey nose has 3 years in him at best then its the wilderness for you boys.
Theres nothing special coming through your academy.

You make reference to Barcelona. Take note what Pepe Guariola has said about Liverpools academy sunshine. Liverpool are the nearest thing to the pass and move concept of Barcelona and its Liverpools academy where the future of English football sits.

Ozone

1. Paul Pogba, Ravel Morrison, Ryan Tunnicliffe. Remember them three names.
2. The only reason Guardiola said that was because the people who once ran Barca's academy now run Liverpool's. He was simply praising his former colleagues.
3. Liverpool are sh*t

Against Chelsea Gary Neville was concerned at the lack of chances we created compared to them. Yesterday once again Stoke made more chances than us. Now considering the wingers we have at our disposal and the forward line we have something must be wrong.RAINFISHTROMBONE

Rodwell had a very good game against Man City, kept Silva under check , didnt deserve the yellow card when he got it , no injury concerns so far.

All big clubs now have their eyes on Barkley and might neglect Rodwell.

So is this January the best time to go for him, maybe offer a few players in return or a few players on Loan ?

Yet again I have seen a lot of people here being very critical about our midfield yesterday. However I was wondering, if our midfield is not good enough, who can we buy that is available that would do the job we need done in midfield. We either need someone to defend for Anderson, or someone to be creative for Fletcher. So the question I am asking is, who would like to see signed?
The Red Manc
Ed? {Ed004's Note - I am not sure, unrealistically Schweinsteiger, though maybe someone like Goetze, because I am not sure Sneijder has the legs for the premiership.}

G.A.G.O

You come on Liverpools banter page, harping on about the shortcomings in our team and how polished Utd are. Your most poignant rant being how good Jones is. Granted the lad looks comfortable coming forward but Crouch certainly exposed his shortcomings yesterday and wiped that daft 'whats going on here look' off his potatoe face when he does something good.

A head on a stick in the twighlight years of his career ran your centre backs ragged yesterday and your boys were lucky to come away from the Britt with a point yesterday. Wait till big andy gets amongst them at Anfield on the 15th next month, he'll have a field day.

Not so bargadocious now are you lad. You've had your honeymoon period and Stoke have brought you back down to earth. In fact you could argue that without Rooney, your boys are just a run of the mill side. You were lucky against Chelsea and you've been found out.

Now lets look at yesterday in the cold light of day.

The Britainnia is one of the top 3 hardest grounds that we have to play at, and if were honest we didn't play at our best infact it was proberley the worst we've played this season and yet we didn't lose, and if we had abit more luck then we could have won.

Now we need to identify why we played poorly by our standards. We were missing our best defender in Vidic our most promising midfielder in Cleverley and our best attacker in Rooney, that ladies and gentlemen is the spine of our team and we had to go to one of the toughest away grounds in the league against a good team without the spine of our team. Add to that that the back four that had trained and prepared for this game had to be changed minutes before kick off due to injury and we had to play i winger at full back, then with barely three minutes gone our best striker on the pitch goes off injured and we aren't even awarded the penalty that should have been.
So we played without the spine of our team with a last minute make shift defence and were shorn of the best striker we had on the day within 3 minutes against a good team at one of the toughest grounds to play at and we got a draw and with abit more luck could have won the game.
This for me just goes to prove what a great team we have and proves our title credentials.
Would Arsenal win away to skoke without Vermalean Wiltshire and Van Persie and with having to make last minute changes to there defence having to play i midfielder there then 3 minutes in losing Gervinho?
How about Chelsea without Terry Lampard and Drogba while also having to make a last minute make shift defence playing a midfielder there then losing Torres 3 minutes in?
How about Man City without Kompany Yaya Toure and Aguero again with the last minute changes to there defence having to play a midfielder there then losing Tevez to injury 3 minutes in?
Do you think any of them could have done better infact i think most of them would have lost in those circumstances. And we were unlucky not to win, although i think that would have been unfair on Stoke who played very well.

So lets not moan and groan, lets not winge about not signing this player and that player. Let's not debate on who we should buy as the only players missing from our team yesterday were Vidic Cleverley and Rooney and they will return in due course. We have a team capable of winnig everything this season and to those of you paying attention we proved that yesterday.

IN ANSWER TO JUDE FROM NIGERIA-
1, you say utd were missing key players or you would of beat stoke , well that just tells me your more a one man team at present , without rooney your average.
2, you said we said berbatov is a waste , well he has scored in a handful of games ,lots of goals , but overall at 30m , and the fact utd fans say dont play him to saf , well i think i have answered.
3,you said we said phil jones is not a good player , well we say he is ,but is just too small to be a top c.b. , as he clearly has trouble dealing with crosses into the box.
4, you say rio is still a top defender and carragher is a old man, well the point is no lpool supporter will say anything other than jamie is nearing the end of his top fight days , while utd supporters stuggle to even dare say the truth - and that is rio is slowing down.
5, you say anderson is better than any of our midfield, well i dont think so , and utd supporters have been saying for 4 ,yes 4 years oh he will come good , still waiting i think.
6 ,henderson and carroll are no good and overated , well maybe you could give them say 12 matches to judge fairly , and no i dont think we will have to wait 4 years for them to come good.
so there you have my answer , and by the way i like your name reminds me of that classic record from lpool HEY JUDE, all the best mate............lfc

I think i have found out the reason why Man Utd drew agianst Stoke.
The reason is John Terry, I'll tell u how, remember the infamous penalty miss in CL final 2008, there JT taught every footballer a new way of not scoring. Against Chelsea Rooney showed JT how it can be done it can be done in a more better way. Then Torres showed every one that English may be good at this but Spanish are the world Champions. And since spanish can do it then why will their iberian not try something like that. And here we have it Nani missing a open goal agianst Stoke though nothing when compared to the earlier player's efforts but still a try.
So who do u think will raise the bar.

So yesterday everyone's wishes came true. Chica and Berba started, Owen got nearly whole match and Welbeck showed his skills. Should have won the game since we scored first but not a bad result. Not doubting any of the united youngsters but if they are injured we should have some cover in midfield.

winning all 38 matches=almost impossible
unbeaten all 38 matches=possible but improbable
90 points=possible and likely
Winning the league no 20=most likely
Winning cl=possible , with likelihood increasing if meet barcelona over 2 leg match

I don't agree with the people who are being very negative about the creativity we produced yesterday. Yes, without Rooney we are never going to be as creative as we are with him but at the start of the game we were very good, and passing it around Stoke. After the goal however, we let slip our concentration and that cost us the game effectively. However, to go and play fast attackive and creative football at Stoke is a near impossibility for a whole game because of the way they play-they use their physicality as much more of an advantage than other teams and this makes it more unlikely that a player will hit it round a Stoke defender and then run onto it for fear of having his legs taken from him. It is like in F1 where if a driver goes round a corner fast on one lap but spins out then he is not going to take that corner at the same speed again because he knows the consequences. Also, playing the more physical game means that we will tire more quickly making it harder again to play expansive football for the whole match. This isn't an attack on the way Stoke play however, just a statement on why it is hard to play against them, much like stating how it is hard to play against the Pacific Isles in Rugby.

All in all then I believe that a point yesterday wasn't a bad result for us, not perfect, but acceptable, especially since our best player was out.

It is intriguing to watch Stoke. In addition to the over robust tackling they use subtle shirt holding and pushing off the ball, not enough to get pulled up for it but enough to slow someone down and level things up.
Noone seems to have noticed their other sly trick, when we put the ball out near the halfway line to allow the physio to their player, instead of giving it back to the keeper they put it out for a goalkick. I believe that is based on the fact they are a big side and will win it back from the kick, it is a sly tactic. I hope other teams notice and do the same to them.
From our own perspective I am with Rainfishtrombone's comments. the referee lacked the bottle to penalise the fouling and set the tone by avoiding giving a clear penalty in the first couple of minutes, probably because he would have had to send Woodgate off. We lacked creation in the middle but we didnt resolve that in summer. I think it is obvious to even the most stoic Berbatov supporters he really should have been sold.
Phil Jones has fantastic potential we can all see that. However I continue to believe our poor central midfield will cost us the major prizes this season.
We could have won if the ref had made the correct decision on the Hernandez foul but it is a good point given the injuries and a fair result.

Speak the truth and it shall set you free.
Mr lfc and co,here are some questions for you-
you critise man utd for not playing well against stoke,but remember we were missing some players who would have made the difference in that game,would liverpool have played well against stoke if suarez wasn't present?
2.you say berbatov is a waste-remember his hat trick against liverpool?joint top scorer.what about caroll?
3.you say phil jones isn't a good player-was liverpool not after him?which defender would not struggle against crouch?is any of your defender as strong and adventurous as jones?
4.ferdinad is still a top defender,can you say the same for old caragher(spelling)?
5.anderson is a better midfielder than the ones you have,was your best midfield player not sold?
6.talking about overated,what would you call henderson and caroll?
Lfc mate before pointing your finger against someone ensure yours are clean.

6 things i took from your game today, here they are

Blair Mayne YNWA

I took a look at your a b c's (well done you, I did'nt think you was capable of getting past 'a') and in a nut shell your either deluded or have one brain cell.
One thing I will say is that come summer time Saurez will be gone, he has been your saving grace up to now but keeps getting subbed (WHY)?? He's your best player, a lot better then Carroll, is King Kelly (looks like an old granny) losing it?? Oh hold on he done that last time he was your manager did'nt he.... HERBIE

We were unlucky not to get full points against stoke. Nani should scored so should have giggs. But i must say the refree made a few bad decisions but the linesman yesterday was i must say was something like partially blind he saw owen was offside but did not see the hand ball that happened just ahead of owen

I think stoke deserved the 3 points and played the better football.

Just think, after we've given you a hammering in a few weeks time, we'll only be 3 points behind you.
