Gundogan made it through the whole 120 minutes tonight in the Cup final against Bayern and was one of just two players to score a penalty in the shootout. His recovery must be going well - a must signing if you ask me:

Since dortmunds revival this season humels and gundongan spelling have both been playing very well would have them in my team any day

29 Apr 2015 00:14:31
Wasn't the injury sometingnto do with his back? But they couldn't find the actual source of the problem?

I watched the game and he looks kike he's starting to play like he did before his injury, and for the price being reported I would sign him up.

If we do sign him i would ove Vidal or carvalho as another cm.

Agree0 Disagree1

29 Apr 2015 05:20:12
I would love Verrati, he is the perfect replacement for Carrick and we do really struggle without carrick in the line up. Vidal is more of an attacking midfielder and we already have Herrera in that role.

Agree2 Disagree0

29 Apr 2015 07:05:32
Agree with gcu. Verrati or naingolan if we can't get pogba.
I thought gundogan did very little tonight. We'll be making a huge mistake if we sign him. Mark my words!
Hummels was OK but nothing special, and he was totally at fault for bayern goal. Sorry, but I don't rate either of these two.

Agree1 Disagree0

29 Apr 2015 16:41:46

I prefer Ottamendi or Laporte over hummels. If you want the Rolls Royce, then Verrane obviously who will just get doe much better and scary good.

Apart from his penalty, how did Gundogan get on tonight?

Does he look anywhere near his best

No, 70 points should confirm CL . And I doubt we will all four.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Apr 2015 00:21:56
Liverpool and Tottenham can only get 70 points and I doubt they will win all there remaining 4 games.

Goal difference is pratically a poimt

Can't see us needing to win more than another game to qualify

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Apr 2015 03:46:32
GD wise Southamptons good is close to ours and to me , are the only team that could get 4th on Goal Difference . But we need two wins out of the next three would do it.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Apr 2015 07:09:23
Remember we have no rooney and Carrick. So I think we're going to struggle to score and to keep clean sheets. Not a good combination. We'll need two more wins.

I've been lurking on this site for a while, but the recent dust up has inspired me to post for the first time.

I often wonder how many people like myself are lurking on this site simply for Ed002's insights. I can certainly understand how frustrating it must be to feel like all your hard work and dedication is not appreciated. I just want to make sure you understand that it is, at least by the overwhelming majority of this community, not to mention those of us who are reading behind the scenes. Your observations and expertise are the reason I frequent this site, and it would be a genuine shame to lose them, even if only for a short time. I know that if you change your mind about your hiatus, all of us would do our best to respect your efforts and not waste your time.

We are all passionate about United and I think sometimes our emotions get the better of us. I sincerely hope you reconsider, though I certainly wouldn't blame you for wanting to escape the asylum!

All the best to you and thank you for all your hard work!

ED002 - I know you are not posting on the MU page which is fine but unfortunate for us as your info (and sometimes wit) are what brings folk like me to the page.

This isn't a comment to waste your time but I have been surfing the Liverpool page for the past week or so and I have seen them ask the same question after question which gets answered daily. Is Monchi our new DOF? What's going on with Depay? Are we intrested in Vietto? Will Klopp join us? Is Rodgers getting sacked? I could answer all those questions from your posts weeks ago.

We aren't half as bad as them lot so I find it a little odd that you would stop posting on this page for those reasons when it's much worse over there. Like I said mate if you don't want to give us information or post that's fine but at least be consistent with the other pages also.

Agree3 Disagree2

28 Apr 2015 15:13:56
Why do people want to keep sticking their foot in it? Now you just sound like a bitter child 'he's allowed so why can't i?'. Give it a rest! I feel sorry for the eds having to put up with such rubbish. They don't do this site for a living but as a favour, remember that next time you feel the need to childishly stick your oar in.

Agree3 Disagree2

28 Apr 2015 15:37:16
I don't think it was the repetitive questions that has made Ed002 stop posting on this page, although I know it was annoying for him, it was the smart arsed "its your job" comment that drove him away. I for one hope he changes his mind and at least gives us occasional updates, as his information is the only way to filter the crap from the truth during transfer time. Most of us really appreciate the work of the Ed,s , unfortunately some people don't and they ruin it for the rest.

Agree3 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Right.}

28 Apr 2015 15:45:59
Lads get over it. Ed002 provides a quality service free of charge, so there really is no right to question him. He's doing us a favour nothing more. If people just took his thoughts on board for what they are we wouldn't be in this situation. jmb you're a good poster but trust you to come out with this, Mr argumentative!

Agree2 Disagree0

28 Apr 2015 18:15:06
Come on people, as Bond said yesterday it's a banter site not a Ed002 question site. Yes it's great to have some insight but let's get back to having a laugh and just enjoying the site

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Apr 2015 19:11:13
JMB Ed002 does this of his own free will, how he chooses to treat different pages is at his discretion, this is not a service that we pay for and I think we should be very grateful of the info that ed gives us.

You really should think before you post sometimes. One thing is for sure, nobody can question your consistency, negative.

Ed I wouldn't bother

28 Apr 2015 23:06:11

Agree0 Disagree1

29 Apr 2015 05:12:55
I just want to point out that transfers will be what they will be and no point people getting all uptight, obssesed and silly about it. Ed002 provides valuable insight and knowledge on many of them and also can be wrong in some cases. People should keep it respectful and cordial and behave in a mature manner.

The Media creates this frenzy every window about us being United. The reality is we probably are not interested in 90% of the names that are being touted and end up doing a fraction of the transfers people think we will.

We have almost achieved getting back in Europe, which is a great relief. So enjoy the rest of the season and let's hope for a good window.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Apr 2015 12:51:22
Hi Guys

If reports are to be believed RvP says he wants to stay.If this is the case that surely is the final nail in Falcao's coffin.I'm not sure we can accommodate both of them if we want to be serious challengers for the league and in Europe. We need someone up front with speed and good movement, Neither of these two offer that.We need to get in behind defences not play in front of them.I personally would like to see Depay and Vietto brought in to add that pace and flair.Whats your thought lads.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

28 Apr 2015 13:55:13
The final nail in Falcao's coffin has nothing to do with RVP mate, he hasn't been good enough.

Agree4 Disagree0

28 Apr 2015 14:10:26
Agree with GDS. If Falcao was good enough a few months ago we would possibly be in a postion to let RVP move on. As it stands Falcao has had countless oppourtunities and hasn't did anything outstanding. Partly due to the tactics of the manager (by not letting him play on the shoulder) but more so down to the fact the lad himself hasn't come to the party at all. £20million for a loan - a flop loan at that - is vast.

In terms of RVP I think he can still do a job. If rumours are true and we bring in Depay and another pacey player he could score many goals next season. He will always be a fox in the box with a killer instinct but I would like to see him rediscover his brilliant movement from a few years back.

I look at possible striking options and the fee's they carry and you have to ask yourself the question, are they better than RVP? I mean Cavani, Mandzukic, Benzema etc are top players but are very costly and for me they are not that far above RVP's standard. Unless Muller, Lewandowski or Bale become available then I say stick with what we have got for the moment.

Agree2 Disagree0

28 Apr 2015 14:33:13
i think cavani would be great in the epl.
benzema imo is a great player who tends to get overshadowed in the madrid team .
i don't rate mandzukic at all.

he works hard but not a great finisher and looks really slow to me.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Apr 2015 14:57:35
I think what will realistically happen is that no striker will be signed for money, we may get Ings but I don't think we will see £25 million or more going on a striker. We have too much work to do elsewhere in the squad to afford a striker this window also. If Rooney is the starting striker though I think we may struggle unless he stays up top and is disciplined. RVP and Ings as back up with Wilson going out on loan.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Apr 2015 15:45:14
Going back to the game against City when Gary Neville suggested Rooney's apparently anonymous performance, where he had his fewest touches ever, would have been considered from a tactical point as one of his best by LVG, you can see why a high priced out and out traditional striker may not be someone we're going to pursue. It is much more likely that the money will be spent on creativity, speed, footballing awareness, intelligence and controlled possession.

Agree0 Disagree2

28 Apr 2015 17:11:33
Money will be best spent on making us more difficult to beat, and a little quicker in the final third. Depay for his pace and goal threat out wide. Clyne and Hummels to make the defense more solid and Gundogan sat deep pulling the strings and shielding the defense. I will be surprised to see a big name striker come in and coincidentally I have posted my team next year on the teams page - it is a reply to the first post on there at the moment.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Apr 2015 12:35:50
Reports today have surfaced that Lloris can leave Spurs for £14 million this summer as they have missed out on Champions League football. Now, whilst I don't want DDG to go I suspect this would be the perfect time to sell whilst his value his high and his world class replacement is available at a great price.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

28 Apr 2015 12:36:29
Gundogan is better on the ball though which will go in his favour. I'd suggest Naingolan or Gundogan as ideal for us.

Fresh i think you are underestimating witsels ability on the ball. I think he would be more than capable of replacing carrick for us

Believable1 Unbelievable0

28 Apr 2015 01:27:04
I may be bias but I think we will get 12 points :-) we will still finish 4th though on goal difference.
Arsenal 5 games left will get 10 points - 2nd place
Man City 4 games left will get 8 points - 3rd place

Just my opinion though.

Agree1 Disagree0

28 Apr 2015 06:09:59

Agree1 Disagree0

28 Apr 2015 10:37:40
Realistically we should be beating West brom, Palace and Hull. Arsenal will be a tight game and can go either way. 9 Points for me and It will be enough to secure 4th place.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Apr 2015 11:03:34
No less that 12 points is the standard we should be looking for.

Agree1 Disagree0

28 Apr 2015 11:18:18
The last games us an indication that we will beat West Brom and Arsenal at home, but maybe lose at Palace away.
Considering we have problems with teams parking the bus, palace away is the one to fear. At home in the league we do have a safe grip on Arsenal, but against west brom fighting and eith Pulis it could be a tough game. Hopefully we'll get as much as 9 points out of theese four games.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Apr 2015 12:36:27
Agree with Norwegian, palace could be the real banana skin. Pardew has them playing well and they play very well at home.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Apr 2015 13:34:14
We should be aiming for full points from that list but I think, West brom (Win), Palace (Draw), Arsenal (Win), Hull (draw).
So I 'm going for 8 points.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Apr 2015 14:16:28
Should be 12, 10 minimum. Our teams superior to 3 of the 4. Our wage budget is more than double 3 of the 4. Our facilities are better than 3 of the 4. Our managment team are much more experienced than 3 of the 4. Every player on our bench would be a key individual for 3 of the 4.

No excuses let's finish on a high and create momentum for next seasons title push.

Agree3 Disagree0

28 Apr 2015 14:32:09
We always do well against Arsenal at home, my only worry is Palace away. I think we will take care of the other three fixtures.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Apr 2015 14:52:17
4-6 points for me. I think we will struggle against all of them for various reasons. WBA are hard to break down, Palace have pace and confidence, Arsenal are playing better than we are, Hull are coming into form and may need to get a result to stay up.

We should get at least 10 points, but I think the players & LVG have been believing the hype and have taken the foot off, 1 good month out of 8 isn't good enough. They need a boot up the backside.
