Hey peeps finally at a comp.
Right here goes, matt law has said, Nani, Anderson and Hernandez got into a bust up with fergie over playing time in the big games this season, now for me i'm guessing they have been told or its not looking like they may play from the start against Madrid, this seems to of really got them upset and they 'confronted' fergie about this.
But it seems that a lot of the united players came down on them and told them in no uncertain terms that they were out of order.
Fergie has apprently brushed this off and said something like ''You can tell there my players, they have balls''.
The thing is, this could of been after the madrid game 3 weeks ago and its just come out or the time leading up 2 this game.
Now for me only Hernandez has any right at all to feel he has any right confronting Fergie.
I know someone on here recently said something along the lines about Hernandez not being happy and I have noticed this too at times this season so you would expect fergie to have seen this coming as well, so maybe all the Lewi Rumours carry weight I dnt know, But that is all I was told basically, dnt shoot the messenger.

Believable8 Unbelievable3

Fergy said after the madrid game some players were unhappy to of been left out

Agree4 Disagree0

Yes he did mate, didn't he mention Young as well? If I remember rightly

Agree0 Disagree0

My god, the thought of Young against Madrid. Hmmmm. This may sound harsh, but I find it slightly embarrassing. I have been a major critic of Young ever since we signed him, and even received harsh comments on my opinion on this site (at the start) due to the odd game where he scores a belter, or puts a good cross in. He is not united standard, lacks finesse all round. Maybe Liverpool at best. Pleeeeeeaaase can we get a non cringe worthy left sided player, at least we know Valencia possesses possible consistency, and will have the very promising Zaha pushing him (Nani too if £90k is enough? lol).
Would much rather Welbeck against Real. I'm really impressed with his form, and feel more game tie will feed his appetite.
Don't force a sabbatical on me, it's only my opinion. lol

Agree10 Disagree4

Chris
yes I posted this re hernandez not being happy a few days ago, as I said my friend works at o. t working with the younger group, I myself am a football coach with a younger age group at a premier league club in the north west, but am a big big utd fan, these are the rumours around the coaching staff (not first u21 or u18) that hernandez has asked to leave due to lack of playing time and that utd have had contact with lewandowski just incase utd get a substantial/acceptable bid for hernandez. I have left names out for obvious reasons but I have no need to lie only passing on rumblings as I frequent these pages as I am a red born and bred

Agree2 Disagree1

Have u heared the Chelsea stuff too then?

Agree0 Disagree0

Young was looking the best of the wingers not too long ago when he'd just returned from injury. He was also covering for Evra very well.

You cannot keep a squad like this happy if you refuse to rotate players against good teams. You pick your best team against the top top teams (like Real) but Hernandez is well capable of starting against most Prem teams invrotation.

Welbeck couldn't buy a start not to long ago, then he plays against Real away and is a beast. Fergy will sort it all out I'm sure.

Agree1 Disagree2

Not hard for Young to look the best of our wingers DB? Have we had any consistency this season in this department? For me, he lacks. Welbeck has played very well in his last few appearances, not just against Real.
But hey, most of my opinions are disagreed on, or not posted anyway. Even LFCs dribble is more publishable. Sabbatical

Agree1 Disagree3

I never thought Young was good enough for United, but that's another discussion. I'm not surprised by Nani or Anderson speaking out, but I am surprised Javier has gotten involved. Maybe its just an act, but he seems to be such a nice guy, friendly, unselfish, well-liked, etc etc. Just doesn't fit the character I perceive him to have, but I've never met the guy.

Agree0 Disagree0

KG it doesn't matter how nice and wellspoken you are if you are driven and motivated then you stand up for yourself, fair play to him, it shows hunger

snakey

Agree0 Disagree1

I suppose it depends on the manner in which it all happened. If it was a serious talk then yes, it's a sign of maturity and competitiveness. But if it was in any way combative or distracting for the dressing room then I'd have to disagree. Big difference between expressing a desire to play more and demanding to play more. Again, probably nothing but was still surprised to see Hernandez involved in any story of this kind.

Just a quick question,

Is Vidic more likely to be played against Norwich or RM as I highly doubt he'll play both.

I think he would do a good job against RM but I'd stick with the two we played in the first leg as they did the job that was needed.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

I would go for DDG, Valencia, Smalling, Vidic, Evra, Nani, Anderson, Cleverley, Young, Kagawa, Hernandez. It would keep Rafael, Ferdinand, Evans, Carrick, Welbeck, Rooney & RvP fresh for Tuesday. Hopefully Jones will be okay.

We have a squad good enough to cope, but we shouldn't take Norwich lightly on Saturday. I think the side I have picked is good enough to secure the win, if not we will have a bench of talent to help out.

Sydney!

Agree3 Disagree4

That team would rip norwich alive with pace
paddy the irish man

Agree2 Disagree1

This is a good question Avid. I think I'd do the same i. e. stick with Rio & Evans for Real, however, with Vidic's excellent form recently he will have given the manager a real headache.

Agree2 Disagree0

Will kags play against madrid, I would of thought Rooney rvp and welbeck will be the attacking options plus either kags or young

Agree0 Disagree0

Sydney!,

I've read that Jones is more likely to not be ready but that could be Fergie up to his old tricks again to surprise Mourinho.

I think we could also get away with resting Kagawa and giving Powell the first 45 mins but I wouldn't want to risk underestimating too much

Agree0 Disagree1

HoneyBadger,

Cheers, I was originally thinking that Vidic may be too slow to cope with Real's pace but then remembered that Ferdinand was just as slow.

I reckon we can't risk Vidic in a high intensity game like against Real yet though as he himself has said he isn't 100% fit yet and the defenders will have to be in prime condition as I reckon RM will be on the front foot most of the game and we will try to catch them on the break.

Agree2 Disagree0

Amazing to see how we all lose a little faith in Vidic when he returns from injury. He is definitely the sort of player who needs mid to low league games, before chancing tricky games, those capable of the torrid Torres afternoon for example. Should he be offloaded whilst he has some worth? And precious pounds made donated to acquiring the mighty reliable 24yr old Hummels for £21mil?. Such an acquisition would also make us appealing to the Germans. Of whom produce the exact sort of Defensive minded, hard, no nonsense midfielders we like at united. But currently lack.

Please inbox me for tarot prices. lol

Agree6 Disagree5

When on form and fitness, vidic is still the best cb in the world. He'll play against Madrid. Rio and Evans will play this weekend and if rio is healthy after that hell play against Madrid. Evans if rio can't recover in time. Just my opinion.

Just saw this on the deluded fools page, it really does get more entertaining every day:

"Suarez is arguably the 2nd best player in the world and at the very least 3rd best".

If they really believe that the buck toothed cheat is better than Ronny or RVP they need committing to the nearest asylum.

Red Daz

Believable7 Unbelievable1

Neutral here, sorry but Rooney is vastly overated. RVP I agree but not Rooney.

Agree8 Disagree12

Who said anything about rooney no name?

phil

Agree5 Disagree0

Neutral, nobody said Rooney?

Agree1 Disagree1

Ronny-Ronaldo

Agree1 Disagree1

I think the OP meant Ronny as in Ronaldo?

My top 5 would be:

Ronaldo, Messi, Falcao, RVP, Iniesta. People like Ozil, Xavi etc are superior to Suarez in my opinion. I will concede though that he is a top player - just an awful attitude.

Agree5 Disagree1

He was referring to Ronaldo not Rooney.

Agree2 Disagree0

Erm, says Ronny not rooney in the 2nd post mr no name.
Your entitled to your opinion but I think it's wrong regardless.
Only reason why Suarez looks so impressive is because he resembles a diamond shining in a cow-pat.

Supasub

Agree4 Disagree2

Ronny = Ronaldo

Agree1 Disagree0

If suarez was at a club like barca or real or even bayern winning trophiesthen i'd consider him a good player

Agree3 Disagree0

Expect to see Suarez in a Bayern shirt next season. ;D
Then we can judge

Agree6 Disagree5

I seem to recall Darren Bent scoring some 20+ goals for a midtable team also. Doesn't make him Messi or Ronaldo, or Rooney for that matter. And its funny how people always freak out when Rooney's form dips. He's not a natural endurance athlete, and his fitness levels fluctuate, along with injury problems. If you're still surprised that Rooney's form fluctuates between world class and quite frustratingly bad, then you haven't followed his time at United. The reason why he doesn't get as much criticism as others is bc even when he's off-form he works his butt off for the team, plays anywhere needed on the pitch and gives everything he has every match. He'll bounce back, hopefully for this final stretch of the season. Til then, get your hating out of the way, bc it'll seem just stupid when he gets back into top form as he always has.

Agree4 Disagree2

For the wages he gets KG, I think we expect a bit more from him than hitting top form for 3 or 4 months a season.

Agree3 Disagree1

What player is on form all season? Bale has been talked about like maradona on here and he is invisible for months on end! At least when rooneys out of form he still contributes in other ways. Messi and Ronaldo are so good they score when off-form, the rest have ups and downs every season.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the main choice this summer is between Cabaye or Strootman. My choice would be Strootman. Cabaye has the advantage of already being used to the league and at a good age of experience. But I think Strootman has the potential to go on to be at least as good Cabaye and more likely better. Strootman is younger, more potential, more versatile. We'd get ten years out of Strootman. And he'd be cheaper and has two countrymen to settle with. I think we could end up going for someone like wanyama as well as I expect us to lose three players this summer: Scholes, Fletcher and Anderson so two in and use Powell more.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Strootman, both benders and wanyama for me.

Agree1 Disagree0

Whose the second dutchman?

Agree0 Disagree4

Anyone but Cabaye

Agree0 Disagree0

28 feb 2013 18:12:23
i think it's a bit strong to say strootman and wanyama are both benders!

Agree9 Disagree1

Büttner

Agree1 Disagree0

28 Feb 2013 18:21:50
Fresh van Persie and Buttner are both Dutch and already here.

Agree2 Disagree0

Not that it matters tangibly, but strootman was given the Dutch captaincy at like 22. That should say something about what expert football people think about his potential and leadership. Certainly got my attention.

I hope we are not concentrating too much on Real and forgetting Norwich. We have a home game that is winable but we must not underestimate Norwich like we did earlier in the season.
One slip and City will be back in the race, so let's concentrate on Saturday first and then think about Real once we have beaten Norwich.
NoMidfield

Believable17 Unbelievable0

Best post of the day so far. I can understand the RM stuff and Ronaldo coming back but we need to take care of a tricky Norwich team first.
Hope we don't take them too lightly again like we did earlier in the season and last season at OT where with better finishing they would have caused a shock.
Their tales are up after a good win against Everton so let's make sure we take care of them and not even give City a sniff.

Red Daz

Agree5 Disagree0

I'm confident that SAF will be echoing your sentiments to the players. We will field a weakened team but one capable of winning the game. I hope we get about Norwich from the first whistle and don't sit back if we go one up.

HBadger

Agree3 Disagree0

100% agree, as much as Madrid is a huge fixture, we have to take care of business in the league, Norwich at home should always be a home banker but with Real on tuesday night I fear we might struggle if we make too many changes.

The 'second' team if you can call them that should still have enough to get 3 points but Norwich are a stubborn side, I was very disappointed with our defeat earlier in the season against them, I believe is the worst we have played all season - it was completely flat and void if any ideas.

I know we are in a healthy position and can afford to rotate but we don't wanna give city a sniff, they say Utd will drop points constantly but we haven't, Norwich and Reading both at home in our 2 next league fixtures need to be 6 points, with 9 games to play after that I believe will be too much.

Agree4 Disagree0

28 Feb 2013 16:36:42
I'm sure ferguson knows this. We win the next two league games it puts us into a very commanding position. Yes he might have an eye on Tuesday, but with pretty much a fully fit first team squad to pick from we'll see some rotation but should have enough on the bench if needed. After the away tie he'll want to beat norwich at home.

Agree2 Disagree0

And us the fans and the crowd must play our part to make sure the atmosphere is good. If we get a good win against Norwich then that will put us in the right frame of mind for Real.
I know its a cliche, but one game at a time and I'm sure saf will let the team know this.

i am horrified to read by CHRIS the redman, that anderson might be on his way out of utd, we will all miss the spellbinding runs, the brazilian flair and offcourse his unparalleled work rate.
ps, you utd fans have to start a ANDERSON MUST STAY CAMPAIGN.
pps, the premership will miss such a magnificent player, who could fill his boots at utd, maybe bale, but bale is still not at andersons level yet, but maybe if he gets the time anderson was given to cement his place in the first team, it could work out okay for him.

Believable6 Unbelievable7

I like how you mock anderson yet you have henderson, allen and shelvey. all worse than anderson.

i'm guessing with some of the crap you come out with you're about 13/14 if not I bet it's good odds your mental age is.

JK92

Agree14 Disagree0

Lfc we know you love anderson but there's no need to keep coming on this page everyday to tell us, i'm sure he's really concerned what a liverpool supporter thinks of him, i'm pretty sure he just looks at the medals he's got compared to your world beaters and has a chuckle and yes he has contributed to those medals he's won, just been unfortunate with injuries and fitness 3/4 of his utd career, can you tell us what's happened to the best young players in the world, sterling and suso?

phil

Agree6 Disagree0

So scouser midfiled consists of Gerard (over the hill), Lucas (umm) Henderson (laughable) and the world beater that is Jonjo Shelvey (what a load of crap).
Suggest you look at your own team mate, a fit Anderson will walk into that midfield any day

Agree4 Disagree0

28 Feb 2013 13:22:36
You can joke at Anderson. Yes he's an injury prone flop. But i'd still have him anyday of the week over the over hyped and over priced henderson, the limited thug that's lord voldemort or the poor lucas or past it gerrard. Remember his first season where he dominated gerrard who was in his prime. Its a shame kenny still isn't in charge as seeing as he paid twenty for henderson he'd probably give us forty for anderson.

Agree6 Disagree0

If I were you, I'd be more concerned that your only star has already started to bat his eyelashes at Pep Le Pew. If you're 29 points behind us with rat boy, how far behind will you be next season when he's knawing on smoked bavarian?

Danny Pughnited

Agree12 Disagree0

Jonjo Shelvey looks like Mr Burns. And plays football about as well as him too. Still, maybe he is one of the young 'talents' that BR will build his successful team around? Or maybe not lol.

HBdger

Agree3 Disagree0

And you care because?

Agree2 Disagree0

A scouser mocking anderson how it makes me laugh. Alright he's no world beater & injury prone but he would walk into that joke side on merseydive. Henderson £20 million King Kenny really a bought a gem there. Lucas is he really Brazilian. Shelvey is he even a championship player. Stick to what you know best absolutley nothing
Blackpool Red

Agree4 Disagree0

I notice you haven't sprout any garbage about our keeper lately. I guess his play has left you with nothing to say. You should worry about your own average little squad.

Why waste time on someone whose club has consistently started Lucas Leiva going on half a decade now? YNWA? You Never Win Anything!

28 Feb 2013 09:24:16
Well if the stories are true about a bust up, i'm guessing good bye anderson, nani and hernandez fair. If u want game time there's a way of going about it and if its true, not the way they have. Hernandez for me is the only 1 that can have legitimate reasons but still players more loved have fallen foul of fergie.
Chris the REDman

Believable3 Unbelievable3

Sorry, sure matt law mentioned today about them 3 having a bust up with fergie over game time and the madrid game coming upwhich um

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry, sure matt law mentioned a bust up involving them 3 having a 'bust up' with fergie over game tine

Agree0 Disagree0

What?

JK92

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry can I give u details late? My fone is messing about and i'm not near a computer atm, sorry again soon as I can I will
Chris the REDman

Agree0 Disagree0

I always thought that Hernandez would end up leaving due to this reason. If he goes for £20+ million then that fee could end up with us getting a more compete player like Lewandowski.

Agree1 Disagree1

Hernandez has quashed these types of rumours so many times now, it's time to take his word for it. We are getting to the business end of the season now and there will be sly tactics to try and derail our season. I expect all three to play this weekend.

Sydney!

Agree7 Disagree1

If we sell Hernandez, then saf will need his head tested, he is the best goal poacher around, so why sell him? We need to keep our best players. Sell the useless Rooney and get another striker. Hernandez must stay and I wish saf will come out and give him some support in public instead of letting the rumour mill do its usual and end up like Pogba!

Agree4 Disagree5

28 Feb 2013 13:26:16
isn't he a well known anti united journo?

Agree1 Disagree0

28 Feb 2013 13:45:12
Nani and Anderson I can believe and this season was always the last chance saloon for them both. And they've failed so deserve to go. let's get rid and replace them. Hernandez would surprise me though. And he's played quite a lot. He's started in games where i've thought he should have been on the bench. MrE

Agree1 Disagree0

Mr no name. yeh because Rooney is useless isn't he.
Ive heard it all now, you would rather keep Hernandez instead of Rooney. What planet are these people on?

Simmo

Agree8 Disagree2

Syd sure hernandez has said there not true at times this season but wot is he expected to say? Remember Ronaldo said he was staying and didn't want to leave mate its what players and clubs want them to do

Agree0 Disagree0

Chris, Hernandez was collared by a MUTV reporter after a game at the beginning of the season and asked about similar reports. He said it's all lies and he is enjoying learning off of RvP. That he knows it's a squad game and he is just happy to be a Manchester United player. This is a genuine lad and you can see that in his interviews. Players will always want to play, but they want to win medals more.

I would say these are nuisance rumours based on Anderson saying he has wanted to leave United on occasions. We all know Nani is off in the summer so no one cares what he wants and to be fair Anderson is highly likely to leave in the summer. You have to bare in mind that City are 12 points behind us and there are many reporters who are anti-United and would love to try and unsettle the camp. I would take it all with a pinch of salt.

Sydney!

Agree3 Disagree1

Ok syd that fair enough mate.
All I was doing was passing on stuff I had been told. I hope they ain't true but it would seem there is some truth behind them if u want to believe them or not

Agree1 Disagree0

Chris, I would be very very very disappointed if United players were happy to sit on the bench. But there is a difference between wanting to play more often and having an argument with the manager and demanding a transfer etc etc. Surely Hernandez' agent quashing such rumours are more believable than some no named poster on this thread and a known anti-United journalist's "sources".

The thing is players would not be kicking off now, they would wait till the summer and leave the club.

Sydney!

Beyond the transfer talk, and the obvious desire to win the match, I hope the supporters lucky enough to be at the Madrid match give Ronaldo a fantastic welcome. I hope he has a poor match as I want us to advance, but after all he did for the club he certainly deserves a positive outpouring from the fans. Most of all, I hope no persons (in the stands or holding the whistle) do anything to ruin what should be a great match.

Believable4 Unbelievable3

It will be great to see Ronaldo back at OT and will no doubt get a great reception although from a footballing united point of view I hope he gets injured against barca ;)

He is some player!

Agree5 Disagree1

Jesus stop going on about Ronaldo and concentrate on United.
It like an obsession with a lot of you on here.

Simmo

Agree11 Disagree8

Thats because he is better than our whole team and if we can get him back in a red shirt then we must give him the respect he deserves.
He also gave us six years of success, which is more than we can say for the attitude of a certain Rooney.
So respect to CR7 and let's hope United can win.

Agree3 Disagree5

Get a grip you clown. we were fine when he went. Life and football move on and so should you. Why don't you take your little Ronaldo banner and support him on Tuesday instead of United.
It's getting a bit boring now.

Simmo

Agree6 Disagree6

Give him the good reception, then support the team and forget about him. After all, we're there to support United, not Ronaldo!

Agree8 Disagree0

"He also gave us six years of success, which is more than we can say for the attitude of a certain Rooney"

This makes noe sense to me personally. Rooney has been here longer and won more trophies than Ronnie did during his time. What is it you are trying to say?

HBadger

Agree5 Disagree3

Spot on Hoppy!

Simmo

Agree0 Disagree1

Wow. This site is frustrating at times. All I said is that he deserves a positive reception and that I hope neither unruly fans or a poor ref ruin the match. You lot sure know how to take nothing and turn it into an argument. Figured this was a post all could agree on. Guess not. God damn children. And Simmo, Hoppy was spot on, but you were going off on some tangential rant, trying to tell people what they should or shouldn't want to discuss on here. If we wanna talk Ronaldo, I think its a pretty appropriate time to do so considering the circumstances, and you can insert your opinion, or even better, don't.

Agree3 Disagree0

Sorry I have just woken up. are you still talking about Ronaldo?

Ronaldo is cumin back no doughts about it
Reason number 1. Utd have first option to buy him it wuz in the contract when madrid bought him.
Number 2. Fergie has stated his would love ronni back.
Number. 3 ronni wants back.
Number. 4 he won't sign a new contract at madrid so he can keep the price down for utd to afford him.
Number. 5 this deal has been more or less be completed as ronaldo has stated he is not sayin nothing till the summer.
Number. 6. Fergie doesn't mess about he would b tellin the fans its not going to happen if this deal isint possible.
Number. 7 is ronaldos number welcome back. GGMU. P. o. h

Believable5 Unbelievable5

I'd about 2 of these 'reasons' are facts the rest are speculation and opinion.

I think everyone agrees that we would all love him back I just can't see it happening myself, as much as I want it too.

Agree2 Disagree0

What does GGMU. p. o. h mean?
Sorry if I sound I bit daft!

Simmo

I think GGMU means glory glory man united.

I'd be guessing at the rest.

If only it were true, Ronaldo is the most complete player in world football. I'd sell my freshly shaved balls to bring him back to Manchester United, but alas, this summer at least it just won't happen. The guy, in my opinion, should be rated no. 1 in the world. he's a pure athlete, body like a brick rubbish house, quick as a gazelle, unbelievable dribbling skills, a steamer of a shot on him, averages more than a goal a game, heads like a pro, reads the game with incive runs and passes. Honestly, does he have any faults? Ok he's a bit of a cock, but i'm pretty sure you could stick him in each and any of the 11 positions in the team and he'd do a job, could you really take Messi out of his favoured left position? Feel free to prove me wrong, but i'd take 11 Ronaldos over 11 Messi's

Believable16 Unbelievable1

Messi would be pants in goal!

Agree0 Disagree1

I couldn't agree more. I always have this discussion with my 8 year old quite often and if you want a complete player, no one is better including Messi.

Shahram

Agree2 Disagree1

IMO

Ronaldo is the more complete player
Ronaldo is a better all rounder
Ronaldo would be better suited to the EPL

I'd still put Messi at no. 1 though at this moment in time
Messi last season achieved something I didn't think was possible in the modern game

HBadger

Agree0 Disagree0

It's also difficult to compare as Messi's been on a much stronger team, and as can be seen in the Argentina team, when Messi doesn't have an in-form Xavi and Iniesta, he struggles. All credit to Messi's scoring record, but Ronaldo has performed regardless of who was around him. Really comes down to a case of personal taste I suppose. and the fact Messi has never even been on the defensive side of the halfway line makes me prefer Ronaldo. But there is no wrong answer.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Feb 2013 00:00:10
Hypothetically, IF Ronaldo returns in the summer and Valencia stays, then do you think Ronnie will take the number 7 back and Valencia gets his old shirt number back? I think he will. This will be a good thing as I think Valencia has struggled to be the Manchester United iconic number 7.

Believable7 Unbelievable2

The number 7 has been cursed since a Liverpool legend had it :-). We need to go back in time to break the spell. Ronaldo - there's no place like home.

Come back Ronnie & break the curse.

I think the club would allow Ronny to keep Valencia as his house-boy, if it meant getting him back.
