Do we still hold any interest in Vidal.I only ask as some sites are saying that Juventus have an interest in Witsel. Whilst this may be as a long term replacement for Pogba would it also give us a chance to try for Vidal again

Interesting poll on the BBC sports page today in which 51.8% of people felt that out of the current top five - we needed to spend the most before the end of the transfer window (Arsenal - 28.7%, Southampton - 10.8%, City - 5.2%, Chelski - 3.6%).

It amazes me that after spending as much as we have over the past 18 months we're still so far away from where we need to be. I can't help but imagine what a decent manager might have done with £220m!

Believable6 Unbelievable6

I think it's more the style of crap football that makes people think we need to spend, LvG needs to stop playing people out of position and stop the dour and boring sideways passing

4 days to go in the transfer window and no signs of anyone coming in. It will be a real struggle to finish 4th with the current squad the desperate reinforcement at CB and CM looks very unlikely maybe he can play Valdez in cm

{Ed002's Note - One person has already joined.}

Heard a few agents who are itk say no big deals are in the pipelines for any clubs and don't expect many big deals to be done as a lot have been lined up for summer already. Sly are still hyping up TDD though, money leaches.

Hi eds I know you don't like to talk about numbers but are you aware if united are still overspent on wages for ffp now we have some more commercial revenue deals agreed. Respect if you don't want to discuss it but thought I would ask as your very knowledgeable on these subjects.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - This is why I don't want to talk about money. The commercial revenue makes no difference to the wages.}

I guess if any one is dreaming that pogba may return to united is dreaming.
Its not going to happen the way he left and the way his agent has made path for him.
I remember united official website is having a news when he was having contract dispute here that united agree deal with his agent. Rather deal with him.
This shows how much his agent is influencing his moves.
I mostly see him either at Chelsea or city or Madrid or at PSG but not man utd.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

I agree with that, 100 mill euro would buy a decent Cb Rb and RM anyways so it would be silly to buy him at cost.

Agree3 Disagree2

I see him at City - replacement for Yaya.

Agree6 Disagree2

He's worth every penny.

Paul Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola, looks like he is trying to start an auction for his client’s services, starting price 100 million euros, does anybody think we have a realistic prospect of bringing him back?

Well what I can say for a fact is that 100 million euros is cheaper than it was 2 weeks ago, but I imagine it will still not happen.

Ed002, reading the site over the last couple of days it has finally dawned on me why you don't like to talk about money!!
If only life were so easy and straight forwards as it appears to be on here. :)

Believable3 Unbelievable6

I don't see what's not straight forward BS, sell Evans and buy Hummels, sell Smalling and buy Marquinhos, sell Rafael and buy Coleman, drop Anderson somewhere and leave him and buy Pogba, sell Young and buy Bale, sell RVP and buy Falcao.

What's complicated with that?

Agree10 Disagree2

I think someone must have dropped Anderson quite recently. I hear there was a small earthquake in England yesterday.

Agree5 Disagree0

I thought he looked quite trim playing the other night. Rubbish, but trim.

Agree1 Disagree0

I didn't feel it BS, can't have been Anderson :-)

He was shocking AJH, even up against a group of youngsters, pretty embarrassing really.

Agree0 Disagree0

One of the worst waste of talent I have ever seen!! He is the poster boy for how not to conduct yourself as a professional footballe r . Tragic

Agree1 Disagree0

I think Anderson and Morrison are joint first on that one Dean.

I am now beginning to get extremely concerned over the future of our super shot stopper David De Gea. There is an interesting article in the Telegraph (a very reputable tabloid) today claiming Real Madrid are willing to wait until his contract expires before making a move for him. If that were the case they would be able to offer him a very substantial package as there would be no mammoth transfer fee payment involved.

This latest development coincides with Iker Casillas stating 'he would like to play in the US one day but he plans on staying at Madrid for at least one more year'. On top of that his family, friends and girlfriend (who is a Spanish pop singer) are all currently based in Madrid and the lure of Real for Spaniards is well known to us all.

With Madrid about to sign a whopping £500million deal with the UAE to rename the Bernabeu on top of the rest of their financial resources they are in a position to bring in pretty much anyone they set their sights on. On the flip side of De Gea decides to stay at Old Trafford he is in a position to dictate his own terms if a move to Madrid is possibly on the cards and his mercenary of an agent Jorge Mendes will take us for every penny as well as a sizeable chunk for himself.

As much as we all admire De Gea would it be worth cashing in this summer with Valdes waiting in the wings rather than risk him leaving for free in 2016? It's certainly worth considering.

Believable17 Unbelievable4

Just to give another point of view.

It is being rumored that De Gea's family actually want him to stay away from the Real Madrid limelight and politics and stay at United and feel that the pressure on him at Real Madrid would not be good for him at this stage in his career.

Have any of the eds heard anything about this?

If that rumor is true and if we secure Champions League football I expect him to stay.

Agree0 Disagree6

{Ed002's Note - It would be of no consequence at all.}

We desperately need him to sign an extension, if for no other reason than RM would need to pay top dollar to get him. 5 year deal would really p*** them off and would beneficial for us.

Agree3 Disagree6

I am just trying to envision Abu Dhabi Bernabeu stadium in the middle of Madrid LOL.

Agree3 Disagree1

The thing is though Fresh if he wants to sign for Madrid then signing a contract 'so we can get top dollar' would be stupidity on his part because he would be effectively turning down an extravagant signing on fee from Madrid. Unless we put it to bed in the next few months it could turn into a lose/lose situation for us.

Agree9 Disagree1

I'd like to think that given the support the club and fans have given him since his arrival and the faith we put in him (indicated by the size of the initial transfer fee) that he might sign a new deal to allow us to recoup some of the money paid if he really is intent on leaving. Unfortunately football's all about the money these days and his agent will be telling him not to sign. In many ways it's our own fault because we should have tied him down for longer when we signed him or sorted out an extension a lot sooner - but it's sad to see all the same.

Would you guys like Pato to join? Just thought he would be a good signing. Thoughts?

Believable0 Unbelievable11

Pato is a very average, injury prone footballer.
