Hi all.

Don't know if this will make the banter page or possibly be relegated to the teams page. However I have been thinking about a realistic squad for next year based on some rumours and how attractive we realistically are to top players.

Keepers: de gea, Amos. Reserve : Johnson

Yes this leaves us weak but Amos is a solid keeper and with de gea in position as no1 anyone we could get would have to be satisfied being no2. I don't kn

Lindegaard will probably stay on for one more year, he may feel that he will get a new chance under a new manager.

Lindegaard must know he's going to be back up to De Gea whoever the manager is.

Sorry, Paddy The Irishman, I know we're all being respectful to a guy who's just died, but I think that's going a bit too far, mate.

Although, some of the posts I've seen from supposed United fans on social media regarding Glazer's death, just leave me feeling a bit sad. Some real hateful, bile.

The old phrase, 'if you've nothing good to say about someone, say nothing', obviously doesn't apply any more.

Exactly SK, I was taught if you have nothing good to say, then say nothing at all. PTI has said some bizarre stuff, must be a young lad. I'm sure it was him on the Liverpool page saying he wants them to win the league.

Don't get what your saying StevieK am I or the people on twitter being respectful disrespectful beacause Malcolm Glazer really cared for the club who him and his family are supposed to be investing 150-200 million in

We agree on something

I am sorry at anyone's death and it is not something to be celebrated. Whatever Malcolm Glazer has done he was a father, husband etc who deserves respect as a person in death.

However, I am appalled at the soft melodramatic nonsense spouted about how good these owners have been at our club.

Manchester United are now burdened by hundreds of millions of pounds of debt and further hundreds of millions have and will be wasted in interest and charges to provide the Glazer family with a growing asset to embellish their family portfolio.

Our success was down to SAF and in the main a core of players nurtured and bought before the takeover. In recent years, since Ronaldo's sale, proceeds of which went to prop up our finances instead of buying greater quality, we have failed to invest adequately and that is not helped by the club bleeding cash. By no means the only one, but it is one of the reasons we have seen declining standards. The last time the ground was seriously improved was money left from the plc.

So RIP the person that sadly died but anyone glorying what they as a family have done to the club needs to step back and take a good look at themselves.

Paddy, only saying I could think of a few better owners. I wasn't referring to you as disrespectful, just the eejits on social media.

What Paddy, you mean the club that Malcolm and his family bought without spending a single penny, and have pocketed millions from? But of course we should be grateful that they are supposedly allowing the club to spend some of its own profits on new players rather than ploughing it in the massive debt they loaded the club with.

I'm not going to revel in a man's death, but some of the revisionism that has been going in in the last 24 hours is extraordinary. Let's get one thing straight, Malcolm Glazer did not give a single crap about the club, he saw an opportunity to exploit a financial loophole in this country and has been making millions off the club's name ever since.

The largest commercial football club in the world has to look for value in the transfer market. That and hundreds of millions of debt and more wasted on interest. That's the glazer legacy. Owners who have never once spoken to the fans. Nothing but a cash cow. Yes sympathy for the family but let's not soft soap the events of the last few years

Redman I totally agree. I posted something earlier but shorter but it hasn't appeared!

Here here some common sense. I am a Glazer opposer and always have been, purely based on the ownership model. But how anyone can take such opposition to a point that they revel in the death of another human is simply beyond me. RIP Malcolm

Thinking of it now they weren't such great owners but I think we should just say RIP Malcolm Glazer and leave it at that

I'd prefer schniederlin tbh, I feel he is a very underrated player

If he has a good WC his cost could and most certainly would shoot up.

Wow, he was 85? R.I.P Malcolm Glazer. Thoughts and Prayers to the family.

He was 86. It seemed a little disrespectful that the ssn Ticker had him down as 85 for over an hour before noticing.

He was 85, would have been 86 in August. It seems like you are being disrespectful posting that on a website redseven.

GDS2 - It seems that there was confusion all around. The BBC and numerous other organisations had him down as 86 whilst sky and others had him down at 85. Given that the BBC have changed their article to 85 it seems safe to assume that 85 was his age.

Not sure how me suggesting that a news agency with thousands of employees should be expected to get somebody's age correct is disrespectful; especially given the ambiguity.

I was just winding you up, I couldn't see how sky getting somebody's age incorrect was disrespectful either but you said it.

Hi guys with xerdan xhaqri of bayern stating that he wil leave bayern for a premier league club, do u think he wil be good signing for us

Liverpool are looking at him. i'm not convinced, excellent technically, very.fast, scores goals but his end product is hit and miss. But at 22, if he works hard on that part of his game, he could be a great player

He has issues, but we have looked at him in the past under SAF. Not sure he is the type of left forward we need.

I'd prefer him to some of the other players we have been linked with.

If we go for him I can see us getting his fellow country men Rodriguez instead of Shaw and Xhaka instead of Strootman I would be delighted if we signed these three as there top drew but would prefer Shaw Carvalho and Griezmann but that will cost a bomb and would not be shocked if we went Swiss I am shore LvG will know and rate these players

I have always thought he would do well in the Prem I would take him at United

Ed, I know that you said we can't sign players until the window opens. But how come West Ham have signed Zarate for an undisclosed fee? Is that not a transfer that has been completed outside of the window? Sorry if I am being a bit ignorant or stupid here, just a little confused.

Apparently van Gaal is so strict that he orders his players to sit up during meal times. Should be quite a culture shock for some like Rooney who have just got out the high chair.
