All I am going to say is that if United sign or attempt to secure the services of Joey Barton I will personally be both e-mailing and writing a letter to the club to show my disgust at the fact that we would be signing a hooligan and a criminal.

Who in their right mind puts a cigarette out in someones eye, or moons a set of fans when they walk off the pitch.

I hope fellow utd fans are in agreement with me and will proceed with similar actions.

Thanks for the welcome Ed
Now I hear a lot about Cleverley. I saw him last season for Wigan - looked ok - nothing special. Reminds me of when I was a young lad in the 60's - 1964 I think it was ; people raving about some reserve we had called Anderson. I went to see him play - on the other wing was another lad making his debut. First half, Anderson was good - the other guy useless. The second half (God only knows what Sir Matt said to him) the other guy was brilliant His name . . .George Best If only . . . . .

BREAKING NEWS

First time poster to this banter page, but I have come across some very good news for all Manchester United fans, I am quite an accomplished horse whisperer and while having a whisper in the ear of What a Friend he pointed out to me someone who was privy to all comings and goings in United's transfer activity, that somebody is Bobo the whiskey
weevil who lives is Sir Alex's nose, he burrowed in there about 12 years ago, right about the time Fergie's nose started to swell and turn red, What a Friend being the great friend that he is set up a meeting with Bobo for me and told me that for a drop of Glenfiddich he will tell you anything you want to know, luckily for me horses and weevils communicate in a very similar manner so talking to Bobo was not a problem, for one shot of whiskey he told me all sorts of secrets about Sir Alex's life but most importantly he told me that Wesley Sneijder will not be signing and instead United will turn their attention to the homeless bloke who lives in Saldord Central Station, with Bebe going out on loan Fergie feels he needs balance in the dressing room, we all know that Bebe wasn't signed for his ball skills but rather to make Wayne Rooney feel good about himself this very important task now goes to Homeless Pete who will sign by Friday on a 3 year deal worth an estimated 10 square meals a small shed and a Big Issue bought by every member of staff per week, you heard it here first, friend O'Weevils.

Hey eds

I have a suggestion for the site.. how about giving the facility to create a profile, which will keep track of names etc etc and can also keep track of people replying to your posts, not sure if that is possible or a good idea, but i thought i'd share

Here is what i think a three year plan for United would look like:

2011 - Sign Sneijder.
2012 - Resign Rossi fro Villareal, signals the end of Berbatov and Owen's United career. If Obertan hasn't been a success let him leave too. Giggs last season.
2013 - Cristiano Ronaldo's return to Old Trafford, he's dropping hints already. He will be SAF's last signing in his last season.

If it goes anything like this, great news {Ed002's Note - I guess the old orange sunshine has just kicked in.}

How can anybody want joey barton at this club, the guy is lucky to even still be a footballer after some of the things he has done. How can one minute people on this site complain about us not signing an overpriced, overpaid player and then the next want joey barton on a free. whats he gonna provide us with a calming and well mannered attitude in the dressing room and in the street, i dont think so. and what did he really do last season, run down the wing and cross the ball in the box, which was pretty effective the first half of the season but then carroll left for a bargain to liverpool, if thats what we want we might as well persuade Becks to come back for a season. rather than signing an average player, why not fast track some of our quality youth i am more than happy with cleverly and with us having the fa youth cup champions, i would rather have winners in the squad than a very lucky loser.

i was suprised to see utd playing OM this evening as i had no idea, as it is not on our official fixture list im guessing its a reserve game right ? will be great to see the likes of pogba and morrison if included. on the transfer front, i do not think cleverly is good enough to play in the important games dont get me wrong he will do a good job when surrounded by decent players against mediocre opponents. however that creative midfielder is desperately needed and i dont know what is more frustratint. the fact that we are no closer to seeing one. or the though that theres a possibility that there wont be one {Ed002's Note - It is a Manchester United XI. Unless they pick one of the teams ofter listed here when it is more likely to be a Manchester United XII.}

Lets talk about those chaps who have cut our ticket allocation in half as they are scared about the noise we will make and the piss taking over 19 titles. Respect for your club is what a player needs and the likes of Barton, Tevez, Balotelli etc clearly dont have it. So dont disregard peoples comments. I pay my money to go to every match so I have earnt my right to an opinion. Ok. """
dear mr unnamed sir
regardless of the site you are on, ngiak NEVER will begrudge anyone posting
ngiak never once told someone to get off the site
post all you want
and where does it state that getting a season ticket means that your opinion can NEVER be questioned?
is it in the rule book for season ticketers?
ngiak must have missed that one.
yes you are allowed to say anything you want
but putting up one liners like "i will hand in my season ticket" with no name signed opens you up to tremendous criticism
maybe the adage "dont play with fire, if you cant take being burnt" sounds like sound advice?

'Whistler'

Keane would have went into the tackle with the full intention on injuring him, but not ending his career.

Sydney!

Probably the most stupid comment ever posted on here. So you believe that Keane, in a split second on the pitch, had the ability to pre-determin whether a tackle was going to injure a player, or end his career? Don't be an idiot.

Hi i'm new to sending anything in regards rumours but thought i'd chip in with my opinion on the Sniejder situation.
Personally i feel he will sign for us but for some reason or another it's taking sometime.
There just seems too much press speculation for the story to not have any real substance. It's shades of when Berba signed, that dragged on & i fully expect Sniejder to join by deadline day....probably on it. He looked really sheepish when asked about coming to us didn't he?
What annoys me though with all football clubs is the old story "no he's going nowhere...they've not offered no where near enough...i don't care if they offer £?m...he's not for sale" only for that player to be sold a few weeks later....look at the situation with Modric, he'll definately be sold to Chelsea & then all Redknapp or Levvy's statements make them look stupid.
I just wish all clubs would treat the fans with a bit of respect as they act like we're thick at times. {Ed007's Note - Welcome to the site.}

Wouldn't be a bad team now would it? I'd have to agree with what Jono said a few weeks ago. I think this is how Sneijder would be deployed if he were to sign. On paper, the midfield seems a little open but we have to remember that throughout a game, Rooney continuously drops deep sometimes even in behind the midfield. And let's hope Fletcher makes a swift recovery as he'd be a perfect partner for Sneijder in midfield.

"If we get Barton they will be getting my season ticket back"

With daft comments like that, it would probably be for the best if you did hand them back to be fair Let me guess does your ticket say "season ticket holder since 2010" on it?"""
dear unnamed sir
that would be a win-win situation all around
we gain a good experienced EPL player
we hopefully sell a player who would struggle in the championship let alone the EPL
and we lose a fair weather fan
thats great

ps... mr rainfishtrombone, its not about the money, he is simply better than most of the alternatives other than anderson and fletcher.
and he is better than carrick in his own "role"...

Joey Barton would be a good addition, the boy can pass and puts his foot in - which everyone on here says we are missing. For free it is worth a punt and under the guidance of Fergie who knows he may become an even better player. Lets not forget he hasn't been in bother for a while now....

Sneijder, come on geezer. What a signing this will be and what a message he will send. He will galvanisee our team and all around him will raise their game now especially Anderson playing along side him.

And seriously someone just needs to launch one on Balotelli. What a brat. Do one you T*s*e*. Think he just sums up the calibre of players THEY have bought.

Hi eds first time on this site im a liverpool fan since 1945, man utd have always had very good sides gojng
back to the days of stan pearson etc etc, The reason Im posting is to ask the question why didnt your
scouts management whoever sign wesley sneijder
two years ago while he was available from real madrid
for 12 mill and knowing paul scholes was nearing
retirement, now hes going to cost with all the
extras possibley 70 mill more, I spotted his availability
even then because liverpool needed a replacement
for alonso (if my memory serves me well)they ended up with aquilani and we all know how thats turning out.anyway good luck for the coming season hope you finish second behind us, (I can dream cant I)

Believable5 Unbelievable1

02 Aug 2011 01:28:55
You put this on the LFC site Sydney, and you are absolutley on the money mate (for once).

"Aquilani is clearly trying harder to get himself a move to Italy. Trying to get one of the Italian teams to pay his wages. On the other hand if he was that desperate to leave why not take a salary cut?"

Sydney!
------------------------------------------
If he is that desperate to leave then why not take a pay cut? All footballers are greedy f*cking mercenaries, with no loyalities to any club. Aquaman is making me hate him now, because if he was so desperate to leave, then why not just f*ck off? It's not as if he needs the money.

Great post Sydney and somthing i've been thinking about, for 18 months.
