There are two main ways that I can see us get the most out of what we have, and the signing that we have to make I would say are: Baines, Herrera & Reus + any others but they are the main three. Here is why:

Baines provides natural width, he whips in a brilliant ball and is great from dead ball situations. He is in my mind the best left back in the League and is in the top 3 in the world. He may well be 29 but since when do we only buy players for their sell on value? Sometimes you need to go and buy the best that you can get and I think that Baines ticks that box.

Herrera would be a brilliant signing for both his workout rate and his vision. Did anyone see last nights game against Barca? He was exceptional and it was his interception that lead to Bilbao's winner. Carrick is good for keeping the team solid and for making sure we are well shielded, he also has a good passing range. But what Carrick doesn't have is drive through the middle, Herrera does, his energy and smart passing is just what we need. I think he would bring out the best in Fellaini also.

Lastly Reus. We saw against Leverkusen well Kagawa played when he was central. If it was up to me Reus, Rooney and Kagawa would play behind RVP. Valencia cannot move from the right hand side, I think that this restricts Kagawa's play as he doesn't have as much freedom. When we had Ronaldo, Rooney & Tevez the interplay was fantastic as all of them interchanged positions. Having Kagawa start right, Rooney middle and Reus down the left would be our best bet as all 3 can simply play from where they find themselves. At to that the drive that Herrera would give and we would be a much more effective unit moving forward.

As always, leave your comments! I love a good debate.

Why would any of those players go to a team that won't be in the cl next season

Agree0 Disagree0

What a difference Herrera and Konoplanka would make to our midfield. Anderson & Young to make way? Baines in, Evra out? Would love to see Reus, but I think Konoplanka would be a good signing if Reus and/or Di Maria are staying put.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would think that Reus and Di Maria will stay until summer. Even if we were to sign Konoplanka though there would still be room to sign Reus or Di Maria. And yes, Herrera & Konoplanka to replace Anderson & Young with Baines replacing Evra who will leave in the summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its so difficult to pin down exactly what we need, as our performances have been so up and down this season. I think you've definitely got it right in terms of positions, LB, CM and an AM/winger are key for us.

Baines for me just doesn't offer us the pace we need, I can see us moving to a 3 man midfield at some point and I can't see Baines excelling at being the only offensive and defensive outlet on the left. Luke Shaw does seem to be perfect, especially considering that I can see Evra staying another season. don't ask my why, gut feeling I guess. I would happily take Coentrao though. good age, proven, fairly pacey and a decent cross.

CM is a little trickier. Again, we need pace in here, someone to drive us forward with energy. Herrera does offer great vision and passing, but I don't see him as a box to box midfielder and that's what we need. Gundogan is perfect and I think Koke has bags of potential. They could be a risk insofar as they may not adjust to the EPL but a midfield 3 in a few years of Gundogan, Fellaini and Koke would be awesome. Very unlikely though! However I think we have the answer at Wigan. Powell is going to be key for us in a few years. Until he's ready i'd bring in Dembele, excellent work rate and I could see him link with Kagawa and Rooney very well.

If Reus is available. we need to go all out. Top class player, although I don't know about starting Kagawa on the right. Interchanging positions is not as easy as just walking to the other side of the pitch! I also think Reus could operate on the right better than Kagawa. If Reus isn't available, i'd be happy with Di Maria, Konoplyanka or Sanchez (if available).

Agree0 Disagree0

Funny how Malaga Gooner shows up now Arsenal are top of the league.

You'll do what Arsenal always do and bottle it. just like you did in the 08/09 season

Agree0 Disagree0

Andy, I just can't see Moyes switching to a 3 any time soon even though I would love this to be the case. Personally I'd have a front 3 of RVP, Rooney & Reus with Carrick, Herrera and one other in the midfield. This would probably mean Kagawa would lose his place but sometimes you have to make these decisions. A player that I think would be a very smart buy is Gokhan Inler - good passing range, box to box with some bite to his game. Herrera & Inler would totally transform the options in the midfield with Powell coming back next season.

Currently we have Cleverly, Carrick, Fellaini, Anderson, Fletcher, Giggs.

I think we will all agree in saying that Carrick, Herrera, Inler, Powell & Cleverly would be a dramatic improvement in options.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm sorry Fresh! I'm a little confused by this post maybe I'm having a stupid day I dunno, but you said there are 2 main ways we can make the most of what we have and then name 3 players we should sign plus "any others" so basically making the best of what we have is going out and signing Reus, Herrera, Baines and any others we need! I'm not trying to be smart here just don't understand how signing 4 or 5 players is getting the best out of what we have!

Agree0 Disagree0

I think those players will bring the best out of the likes of Carrick, Kagawa and RVP for example because they will compliment eachother. For example, Reus is far more technical than Valencia so will gel better with Kagawa than Valencia does for example.

Agree0 Disagree0

Andy, not sure I agree mate. Baines seems to do a decent job of getting back and forth for everton. Mt G Neville managed a first class job for us doing exactly the same thing up until about the age of 33. Not all palyers are the same but if we could get 4 years out of Baines at the top of his game then the 17 mill or whatever it is would be money well spent in my book because he offers such an attacking diemension from an area where mosts teams don't have one of note. As a bonus he can also defend.

A new winger is a must and reus is as good as any who could be available. he's also young and so one would hope he could improve. A fluid front four of Rooney, Reus, RVP and Kagawa is as good as anybody.

The midfield situation though is desperate and herrera won't solve it on his own. IMO we need at least two top top midfielders before we start looking like a complete team with quality in every position.

By the way, malaga gooner, why don't you just piss off you muppet

Agree0 Disagree0

Malaga, let's see how many points separate us by the end of the month. You will finish 4th at best. We will finish higher than you.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Dec 2013 12:31:04
Syd the only way you will finish higher than us is if you hit the bong.

Come on everton

Agree0 Disagree0

Malaga, you are still yet to play Chelsea and City. let's see how you do against them first shall we? There is a reason AW is desperate for a title. No trophies in ten years will be shameful so this is his last chance to do it. Arsenal are bottlers, you will bottle it again and 4th is probably the best you can hope to achieve this season. With City, Chelsea & ourselves swapping managers it was likely Arsenal would start well, especially given the easy fixture s too. let's see how you do this month. Three points against Hull is a given, but it gets more difficult after that. You are hitting your difficult fixtures, we have had ours. let's see where Arsenal and MU are at the end of the month.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Dec 2013 14:52:52
It's a month to January I think will sign 1 maybe 2 players no more as January is very hard to deals in specially as it's World Cup year and top players won't risk moving unless they ain't playing as much so with all that who do you think we could sign that be available

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I have a feeling we may see a winger come in. perhaps Di Maria or Konoplyanka. I expect moves to be made for an LB and CM, but don't see anything too major happening. There is also the Lewandowski situation, which I feel may raise its head with many clubs in January. I'd be happy with Di Maria and a CM, as I do think we'll wait until Summer to replace Evra.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we will be lucky if we see one player. But if it was up to me and I was to be realistic then Baines, Herrera & Konoplyanka would all be bought. Herrera & Baines could be added to our CL squad and I think I'm right in saying that Konoplanka isn't in the CL either?

Agree0 Disagree0

Nobody in January. Maybe some 17yr old prospect from the lower leagues or something.

Agree0 Disagree0

We've already made a new signing. 3 year Korean TV deal. Funny how the club never releases statements about waiting for the right sponsorship deal.

Agree0 Disagree0

We'll talk the usual big talk and then buy someone no one has heard of then wonder why he is crap in four years time.
I wouldn't hold my breath on anyone coming in.
If moyes thought Herrera €36m (around £30m) is too expensive and yet he went out and paid £27m for fellaini, then I think we better start worrying big style.
He is displaying a serious lack of understanding of how football is played these days. Kagawa plays Leverkusen off the pitch then gets moved to the flanks?! Spurs dominate our midfield, so he brings on two wingers as sub's?! What are this man and his assistants doing?
Anyone think Everton and Newcastle will be winnable better think again.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nomidfield

Yep, I see 4pts at the best coming from these next 2 games, which isn't disastrous of course. However, 2pts would be a disaster and that is not that far-fetched. Everton are a well-drilled unit with an unstoppable CF and an axe to grind/point to prove.

Newcastle have somehow crept up the table and have a few players firing on all cylinders too.

Next 2 transfer windows will really tell us what's going on at United.

Moyes said himself, this team is lacking several world-class players.

Our performances have definitely supported this opinion.

So, we should expect to see some world-class signings in the next couple of windows.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Dec 2013 14:18:56
Eds and others do you think we could still win the league from the position we are in now?

Even assuming that we make the signings we need in Jan I still don't think we could win the league this season :-(

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Sadly I don't think Utd will win the league. I will be delighted to be proven wrong though.}

A team could certainly win the league from our position. Unfortunately our position is probably a fair reflection of the current strength of our side so it's unlikely to be us. Knee-jerk signings in January would be a mistake, Moyes has to build for the future and I think he knows that If we finish 4th this year then so be it.

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance. There are four teams better than us and two of them will not lose too many points, chelsea and city.
I also think that arsenal will be there or there about, leaving us to fight for fourth place with Liverpool, spurs, Southampton and Everton.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sadly nomid I have to agree with you. I certainly think it will be between city and arsenal with us, Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs fighting it out for 3rd and 4th.

I think Mumbi boy is right and as fans we should accept 3rd or 4th on the understand that its just temporary and well be signing a number of rubbish hot players at whatever price at the end of the season

Agree0 Disagree0

I am resigned to a 3rd place finish at best. have stated earlier (on posts that never went through for whatever reasons) that I would be happy with that if

1. We show signs of an improved and consistent style of play. agree with Moyes that the consistency will come with time as the coaches and players adapt, so fingers crossed

2. Indications that some of our really talented youngsters are going to make it - Januzaj is just the start, would like to see Zaha, Lingard, Powell and the Keanes becoming a member of the first team squad by the start of next season

3. Phasing out of players who just aren't United standard - Young tops my list

4. Cracking new players for CM and LB (and no, Fellaini does not fall in that category)

Agree0 Disagree0

That meant to say really hot players

I guess we all knw that the premier leauge is not a short race but a marathon. let's not forget, teams like chelsea, man city who didn't get results from their managers after a season or two sacked them because of the modern day and age. Are we going to do the same or do what we did when saf joined us, and that is, give him some time, maybe two seasons. Saf won a major trophie after three years, steve bruce actually saved his job after scoring the winner in the fa cup. I don't think we will win the leaugue, but I think we be much better footed for next season. As long as liverpool doesn't catch up, and we qualify for champions leaugue, I will be happy. 20 leaugue trophies, that's a big number for any club.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I'm sick of the, 'Fergie didn't win anything for a few years' rubbish on this site. It is absolutely ridiculous to compare the start of SAF's tenure to our current situation. SAF came to a club that hadn't won a title for years, had deep rooted off field problems, and were capable of a decent cup run at best. He needed time to lay the foundations for a team that has dominated the EPL for the last twenty years.

Moyes has come into a club that has consistently won trophies. Yes, the owners have allowed the squad to fester, but, nevertheless, the squad should be challenging for trophies. Moyes is not faced with any of the major problems that SAF was faced with. He is faced with one problem, getting the owners to invest in quality players. Now because Moyes claims that the owners have offered him all the necessary funds, the burden of responsibility falls on Moyes.

Moyes will, unfortunately, be given time. But he has performed poorly so far: tactically, in the media and in the transfer market. I repeat, Moyes has done nothing to earn the right to manage a top side, the only reason he has the job is because his mate gave it to him. Does anyone honestly think that any other top side in the world would even have considered him? We are stuck with Moyes but people need to stop defending him and the mediocracy he has brought with him this season.

Agree0 Disagree0

I am in complete agreement with Danny here. We cannot compare SAF and Moyes in their initial years because SAF had to build the team whereas Moyes has inherited a team of champions.

Also losing games due to lack of quality players is acceptable but losing games due to outdated tactics and senseless substitutions is not.

Agree0 Disagree0

We have to be a maximum of 5 points away from the top at the turn of the year and we have to be playing some very good football. January signings will have an impact too. If Arsenal get another striker and if other rivals get players and we don't then its a battle for the CL places.

Agree0 Disagree0

Absolute crap Danny. If u knw your football, the leaugue back then was not as demanding now. U never heard of managers getting sacked like it was going out of fashion. As for star players, saf was given carte blanche to buy players. Also, with the league and players changing all the time, no two seasons are the same. Before u blow your top off, do your research on the club first. let's not forget, when saf served his early term, Manchester United was the only rich club of the premier league before abromovic took over chelsea in 2004. Paying top money for ferdinand, jamp stamp, van nistleroy, cantana, dwight yorke, I can go on and on,

Agree0 Disagree0

So this is your argument:

Moyes should not be criticised because the league is harder now.
Fergie got money to buy whoever he wanted.
No two seasons are the same.
SAF had an easier time because we were the only rich club until 2004.

The first claim is a bit ridiculous. First, because there was less of a gap between the first division clubs, the league was actually more competitive, and second, it's pretty dim to talk about it being more difficult to win the league now and then claiming that no two seasons are the same. I'll leave you to think about that one for a while.

The claim about SAF's transfer market carte Blanche is just silly. I'm not sure that anyone aside from you actually believes it.

No two seasons are the same. So what I never claimed otherwise. But Manchester United have not finished outside the top 3 in over twenty years and this our worst start to an EPL season. What are the differences between this season and last: Moyes, his back room staff, and the player he signed.

Finally, the only one of those players we signed before we won a league title was Cantona, and he was signed for a relatively cheap fee because Leeds wanted to get rid of him. When SAF took over we were not flush with cash. The reason that we began to attract top players was because SAF made us successful on the pitch. It was only after years of success that we became the richest club in the league. And you're talking to me about the club's history?

Look at it this way. Moyes left Everton after over a decade in charge. A new manager came in and the club is currently in 5th position, one place above where they finished last season. They have slightly improved and the transition is looking to be successful. We are in 8th, 7 places lower than we finished last year. We are playing and are struggling to impose ourselves in most games. The common denominator is Moyes.

Agree0 Disagree0

We didn't buy players of that calibre when saf took over, liverpool were the top dogs and we were average.none of them players mentioned were bought until 12-15 years at least after fergie took over.ive been going since the early 70.s and throughout that time and the 80, s we were crap at times with a cup run the best we could hope for.agree with danny, moyes is a proven premiership manager he should of known our squad inside out before he walked through the doors instead he dithered on fergies transfer targets and let them go else where and then wasted 27.5million at the last minute.im sure the beverley hillbillys will be over the moon to see there 2nd biggest purchase unable to get on the pitch and you wonder will they trust moyes with a large sum of transfer money after the fellaini fiasco.

Agree0 Disagree0

Donnie2303

In 86 when SAF arrived we were a mess, it wasn't just a poor team but a poor club without the structure in place to be successful. Liverpool dominated and we were where they have been for a few years. It took years to get right spending money in the process. Moyes inherited the Champions and a club with a fantastic structure and a great winning mentality. It needed some tweaks but instead Moyes ripped out the back room staff and is still doing it with the scouting network in line at the moment. The difference in the starting points are so far apart but the difference was that SAF knew how to win, what winners needed to have and how to get there. From a position of strength Moyes has ruffled a few feathers and moved the successful staff on. We are where we are but it could and should have been far smoother so far but that is down to the decisions the manager has made. One thing is sure Moyes had a considerably easier start than SAF and anyone who thinks different was not around in 86

Agree0 Disagree0

Red man SAF did arrive and make his own big changes he got rid of top players like Mcgrath and he did have a lot of money to spend on players and did spend big Pallister Keane were not cheap, we already had Byran robson and other top players so he did have world class players at the club before SAF came, Moyes has taken the hardest job there has ever been in football, replacing a living legend who was at the club for so long with so much success it would be hard for anyone, SAF thought Moyes was the right man and I think we should trust the master and judge Moyes at the end of the season

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry guys, I'm in agreement with Danny not Donnie.
I have watched united since the 60s and when saf took over, we had a couple of very good players, but the club was a joke. Problems on the pitch and even bigger problems off the pitch.
Saf sacked players almost immediately and in some cases against our wishes, but never the less he did it.
He also had incredible success in Aberdeen on very limited funds.
Moyes has had no success at all, he's had 11 years at Everton and before that at Preston. Does that qualify him to be United manager? Think about it for ten seconds and you'll realise the total ludicrousness of the situation.
I agree with Danny, he has been very poor in his tactics, and team selections. He's also not handled the press very well and instead being bullied by some of them, he's been non committal in this responses, when a strong, firm and clear reply was required.
Like it or not, moyes is totally out of his depth. Unfortunately, his backroom staff have very little experience in successful management. Giggs and Neville have been great players, but that does not make them great coaches and managers.
A club of United's stature should not have to put up with mediocre personnel, they should be thriving to be the best, competing with bayern, Barca, Real, PSG, city, chelsea and the rest. Can we honestly say that we are in any way a match for bayern, barca Real? Even the most ardent fan has got to admit the seriousness of the demise of our club and the playing staff.
Is moyes to blame for everything? Of course not, glazers will have to take the brunt of that one, but they decided in their infinite wisdom, that a manager who has won nothing all his life, with no European experience should replace the most successful manager the world has seen. That is the crux of the problem.

Agree0 Disagree0

Katef

SAF had a poor team in 86 and a club that didn't know how to win. He spent money and indeed he did buy Keane but not until after the first league title win in 93. There is a massive difference to what Moyes has inherited. There is one point that seems to be missed and that is a new manager should have seen a bounce, the team should have been trying extra hard for Moyes yet he seems to have only been getting 90% out of the players.
Moyes was a major risk and for me the jury is still out

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets see if Everton can finish where they are now before you start spouting off, don't forget everton finished 4th and qualified for the champions league under moyes let's just the team after the next 6 games when we reach the half way mark

Agree0 Disagree0

A decent performance yesterday. Our general play and individual performances have improved. The worst part of the season is over. We now have a run of fixtures that should be kind to us.

If Van Persie can hit the heights of last season - along with Rooney's great form - we will have a world beating strike force.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Kagawa, fellaini, young and Anderson need to be offloaded rapid, non are united standard. play jones just in front of the back four until we can bolster our weak midfield

Agree0 Disagree0

Kagawa and Fellaini both have roles to play. The other two are a disgrace and should be sold in January.

Agree0 Disagree0

Please tell me the original post is laced with sarcasm? Yesterday was a winnable game. Tottenham lacked anything up front, if our wingers (Valencia in particular) could do anything but bounce a ball off the opposition for a throw, we'd see Rooney on the score sheet a lot more.

We have Everton and Newcastle next, both on fine form. Everton with a CF who will bruise our defense and Newcastle with a strong midfield and fantastic tactical ability. It will also be 4 games within 12 days, off the back of international fixtures.

This is what we have to look forward to under Moyes (at least for the next 12 months), a series of up and down performances while the man himself who isn't fit for the job comes to the conclusion that he'll never be a winner.

Sorry about the rant!

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry 14 days. my mistake, got my days mixed up! Bloody mondays.

Agree0 Disagree0

Andy, you don't think Rooney and Van Persie are world class strikers'?

We are unbeaten in 12 games now. We have an average CM, so our play is always going to be limited until that problem is redressed. We can mitigate that problem with a lethal strike force, and some improved individual performaces, which we have been seeing.

Some United fans' need to grasp the bigger picture, and stop moaning about the manager etc, who has had to deal with a lot of crap since SAF has left. Not many out there could have handled the situation any better IMO.

Agree0 Disagree0

Annie, are you joking?! Kagawa is definitely United quality but what do you expect when he's played out of position? Just like Wayne dropped form when played out of position last season. Kagawa was one of the most important players in a team that were in the CL final last year. He's definitely good enough.

Agree0 Disagree0

Of course they are samthered. but we can't effectively play them in their preferred positions. They're both strikers. yes Rooney has played well in his converted number 10 role this season, but you can't say he's better there than in the opposition box. Rooney dropping deep lessons our goal threat as our wingers can't come inside and provide it. When Moyes sees the light and plays RVP and Rooney as conventional strikers with a trequarista behind him, then i'll say we have a world class strike force.

And that ''force'' doesn't start by lobbing the ball up the pitch, it starts in midfield and sometimes even in defense. But we don't have the talent or technical ability in the middle to pass the ball around and create chances. Jones is showing promise and is a good example of ''improved individual performance'', but none of Cleverley, Anderson, Carrick or Fellaini (admittedly he may need time) have improved. they're still stuck in this static way of playing that has developed since we lost Queiroz and then Meulensten. We haven't had a fluid attack since 2007/2008.

And in all honesty, what did Moyes or us expect? That everything was going to be hunky dory? Of course not, but he had opportunities to make things slightly easier for himself. He could have kept on some of the back room staff to help the transition. I believe he showed great arrogance in clearing it out and replacing them with people who didn't have experience at the very top level of European competition. His transfer targets were a complete joke, instead of going for slightly less famous names who could have came in and made a real difference, he targeted unattainable players and ended up with a 27.5 million bench warmer. Again, a complete show of arrogance!
Take a look at City, did their transfer business quietly and early on in the window for the most part. that is now paying dividends as is clear to see.

I won't stand for this ''we must support Moyes no matter what'' anymore, if he his isn't doing what I believe is right for the club, then he doesn't get my support.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with Andy. Moyes could have bought Herrera but thought he was too expensive. He offered £27m for Fabregas, a!of of money to us all, but an insult to barca and to fabregas, WNO is one of the top players in the world.
Then he bought fellaini and paid £27m for him. That sums it all. So if you thinkmoyes is blameless, then think again.
So 12 games unbeaten, but how many "wins"? I don't need to tell you that it is better to win one and lose one than draw two games.
Everton used to draw a lot of games under moyes with his safety first policy, and that is happening here.

That game was a good result 2-2!

I didn't think anyone played that bad what makes me laugh is cleverly was average but jones made some mistakes and cost us first goal by letting ball go over head but he gets nothing!

Scapegoating on here is ridiculous we don't have a team of Ronaldo messi's and iniesta 's

We will come good but as supporters you come on here and go crazy at player you think is the problem!

No one played that bad cleverly and jones did ok against a powerful Tottenham midfield and Tottenham played 3 in there to our 2! logic guys obviously we be over run there!

Our next 2 games are at home and then some away games against lower half of table!

I for one am fully behind moyes and the team and some of you need to stop watching one players errors u don't like and watch a player like januzaj when he makes a error its ok because he is the Manchester United love child!

Bin posting on her for couple years now and I don't as much as the site is so bias towards a bad performance

Can I just say this

Evans - used to be a scapegoat
Fletcher- used to be a scapegoat
Rooney last year - scapegoat

Cleverley was absolutely dreadful yesterday.
His career has gone backwards.
He can't pass, can't tackle, never gets forward.
If that's the best we (Man United) can put onto the pitch in that position we haven't got a prayer of winning the prem.
We need midfielders desperately.

Like some other posters I'm inclined to think we really lack in engine room! I don't really envisage this being fixed anytime soon, not because of lack of funds, in January there won't be the availability of players.
Moyes cannot really come out and say 'we need 6-8 new players' it'll smash what looks like fragile morale, our unbeaten run etc
Its obvious we need some decent investment, our lack of energy is at times painful to watch! I feel pity for the guy with the ball most of the time we have to go backwards or sideways, we do miss Carrick but that doesn't bode well!
I think in all honesty it will take Moyes another year to 18 months to pull everything together, which isn't being negative just realistic! Moyes will get it right it just remains to be seen how wrong it will go before this happens. Right now we need to hold our nerve and sit back. Ok the arsenal, shoulders etc are enjoying themselves at our expense but we are not a million miles away!

A point at Spurs who were really pumped up for the occasion, is not a bad result.

You can blame Moyes for his team selections but, let's face it, he doesn't have a lot of choice in midfield at the moment. And, in any event, he has to do some squad rotation to get through all the games.

There are obviously reasons why Zaha and Anderson continue to struggle to get any minutes at all. We could use an in-form Nani, but it's been a long time since we've enjoyed that. We will also look forward to more of Janusaj although clearly Moyes doesn't want to burn him out. Enough has been said about Fellani.

If you're going to be a useless passer in cm you had better be a solid defensive presence. Clev is terrible at both. Smalling is absent going forward and isn't a good enough defender to keep Rafael out of the squad. And young shouldn't play another minute in a united shirt. He might be the most awful player I've ever seen at this level. Can he do anything?

U have to forgive Malaga, he's not the sharpest knife in the box Andrew.
He canteven really go on his own page anymore as fans from his own team rip him apart too.
Thats right ain't it Charlie? Still got those dancing shoes on?

I think Arsenal fans' will be feeling that sinking feeling before long. They have yet to have a run of fixtures that are testing, unlike us, who now have a very healthy set of fixtures.

Its funny how after 13 games arsenal fans think they won it before too long arsenal will be in free fall like every year one thing for sure is we will finish ahead of arsenal like always

Everton and Newcastle next. not healthy fixtures whatsoever, mate. I see us getting 4pts at the most, possibly 2pts.

RS, I expect six points and if we can get six points I would say we are back in the title race. I still say finish above City and the league is ours.

Sydney what happened to the 20+ points you were suppose to be ahead of the scousers by xmas?

Agree0 Disagree0

Syd,

6pts would be an excellent return, I just don't see it. We are not playing well in the league and both of these teams have the tools to really test us. If we were to win both, yes, we would be back in the title race.

Agree0 Disagree0

Malaga, I said we will finish 20+ points ahead of Liverpool and I stand by it. I said MU will be top by Xmas. Perhaps top is slightly ambitious now, but I believe we will be within three points of Arsenal by January. And I believe you will finish 4th.

RS, I think it doesn't help being without RvP & Carrick going into these games. Jones will be a big miss against Everton too. Everton will miss Baines and will be very reliant on Lukaku. I think we will win these games if we take our chances. Against Southampton and Cardiff we fluffed our chances to get the two-goal cushion and it cam back to haunt us. I see those two games as being the reason we are not sitting slightly higher up the table. Both times we had chances to put the game to bed and we were wasteful.
