I think people should try youtube iff they can't find the Sharkopod here. Easily accessable over there.

Although there much work to be done. I'm enjoying football again. Thanks Ole.

If we compare the last 3 matches then today the opposition created the most trouble for our defence. If we come up against better players then we might concede more but at least we will also attack and the fans would be treated to more entertaining matches.
I can see more end to end stuff against better teams. But it's nice to see our attacking spirit back. We just need someone to rotate with Matic otherwise he'll be exhausted after a few matches.

It's just nice not to be so friggin bored with the game that I spend more time on my phone than watching it.

The last 3 games have been a breath of fresh air. I'll take some losses for the rest of the season if it means being entertained.

These last few games have been great seeing us score plenty goals plenty attacking football but what on earth is happening in defence last season 2nd best defensive record this year I close my eyes when opposite team on attack what is going on back there. so it's been exciting to watch look forward to games now 😀.

Greetings everyone from Sunny Las Vegas. Early rise but well worth it. A refreshing change from the dross served up by mourinho. Oh well not to dwell on the past. Happy new year to everyone except the scousers of course.

Our defence never was good enough last season we had DDG making ridiculous save one after the other to thank for having such stats.

Season greetings everyone . I think OGS or should I say the club will try to sign at least one player in Jan. Just to keep this good feeling going. I don't really know who but might shock the league. I did hear a whisper about an Àrsenal player coming. 😆😆.

Sharkpod suggests that we might move for Milenkovic, or potentially Douglas Costa, but the management situation means that it’s difficult to business in this window.

30 Dec 2018 16:06:32
Biggest priority for the club in the next two windoes should be finding new clubs for some players to go to.
There is easily 8-10 players at the club who could go and not need to be replaced by new signings.

Romero, grant, valencia, smalling, jones, darmian, rojo, fellaini.

Thats before you get to players who have question marks over their future like young, herrera, mata, sanchez and lukaku.

Free up some wages and offer martial and de gea new increased contracts and tie them down for the long term.

Agree3 Disagree5

30 Dec 2018 20:51:40
Said it before but I think the only business we should do in jan is smashing the record for a CB and getting Koulibaly. Then concentrate on signing De Gea and Martial to long term deals.

Hoping for a huge win today. I know its only Bournemouth but the more wins we can get in a row it will only bring about more confidence.

As you know I ain't been around as much recently so I'm out of the loop on the 'inside workings' of the club from the legends that are ed01/ 02 but from what I fan see the club are actually trying to rectify their mistake since fergie left (prob before that too) .

Let concentrate on moving in the right direction and taking from there.

As always UTFR.

Can't predict anything in these xmas fixtures. If the team perform with energy and movement and pace we should be too much for bournmouth.

It is worth keeping an eye on the Martial situation and I wonder if he will start today's game. If press reports are correct he wasn't ill on Boxing Day but dropped for missing his flight back from Paris on Christmas Day therefore didn't attend the training session put on by OGS. Whilst we don't know the circumstances, if true, it is unprofessional at best. How will his teammates feel who did turn up, how would someone feel if they were dropped from a winning team today to make way for him? It was reported that he missed sessions in summer if I remember correctly.

Players can have fantastic ability but the attitude has to be right. I wonder if SAF's reported invited visit to training yesterday included that message, which he was well known for.

That's interesting if true. But Ole has been talking about him since so it's hard to know.

I remember ole saying that christmas day was an off day for the players hence sanchez being praised for coming into training when others were off.

30 Dec 2018 14:56:51
In some respects I hope it is true. Not great if Martial has an attitude but brilliant if OGS has slapped him down.

It is reported Ole changed training time on Christmas Day to suit the players, I think to 6pm and it is said that even with that change Martial let him down.

These are all press reports, and yet we're using them to have a go at one of our players. Since when did we start putting so much faith in what's written in the rags?

It was ok for you to believe press reports about Mourinho though wasn’t it? Also this is a rumour site unless I am mistaken

Martial starts today so we get behind him and the team, but there has to be discipline.

You only post rumours on here when it suits your argument. I didn't like José for his proven actions over the years, not what the papers wrote about him.

Sorry ed, meant to include at the end that it highlights just what this club had to go through and we should never forget that when we are all arguing over losing a bloody match of certain players. This club is bigger than any player and we as fans should never forget that.

Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - certainly shows why he deserved one.}

30 Dec 2018 11:46:14
Incredible to be honest. I had never read his side of it.

Sometimes when we are here arguing over haircuts, tactics, players etc, reading Harry Greggs account reminds us of the truly great people that played for this club and what it meant to those. There wouldn't be a Man United without people like him and the players in that dressing room right now should all be given a copy of this to truly understand what they had to go through.

30 Dec 2018 09:03:06
Early days, but not sure whether OGS appointment and upturn in performance is a classic case of dead cat bounce or he has literally changed the tactics instantly and made a difference. What I do know is I am excited to find out over the next 5 months or so! Never wanted a manager to do so well!

Believable5 Unbelievable1

30 Dec 2018 09:46:33
Lots of questions Eric, there won't really be any answers until a few months down the line.

I'd say just enjoy it as we haven't managed to truly enjoy our football since fergie left. Whatever happens will happen, I just hope they have everything sorted for the summer. Otherwise it's going to be another weird period for us.

30 Dec 2018 09:47:54
OGS has said himself he hasn’t changed much as hasn’t had time. The only thing he has changed is the players mentality.

I doubt any Manager could impose new tactics and a new approach so quickly. The players were clearly unhappy and have been told to enjoy themselves, the release is clear to see.

I love Ole but his managerial credentials are not strong. He may do a fantastic job, we shall see. There is an argument that if you buy players who are good enough, and let them play, then they’ll do alright. Culture is a major contributor to the success of any team and if everyone is feeling good, happy, and supported, who knows- here’s the ball, go play with it. I realise it isn’t quite that simple but I think Jose complicated out of things.

Agree2 Disagree0

30 Dec 2018 10:53:29
Culture eats strategy for breakfast.

Interesting to see what Ole does when everyone is fit. He clearly rates Jesse. Rash has looked good upfront. Martial Sanchez and Rom will all expect to start. Mata always seems to add something with his movement. If he builds a team around Pogs he needs 3 in midfield. I suspect he is itching to insert some minutes for Chong.

Can he keep everyone happy? Or even just keep the team ethos going?

Agree1 Disagree0

30 Dec 2018 11:03:17
I think Ole is refreshing, good attitude in management that reflects his playing attitude, always a smile on his face. I saw him walking in Altrincham once and there was a smile on his face. At the moment he has a free run, there is no real pressure. In our working world it’s like having a temp, they are relaxed, perhaps some are too relaxed, because the level of expectation is lower.

I hope he does well, well enough to be given consideration for the permanent position but I doubt he has the level needed. Di Mateo won the Champions League, got the job and was sacked the next season I think. I suspect the players may drop off the top levels of performance in Spring because of the uncertainty. The thing Ole has in his favour is that the club will almost certainly give him complete support, so some players better watch out.

I see where all are coming from.
However does anyone think that SAF could’ve helped brought back OGS and Phelan and perhaps just perhaps SAF will be around to “strongly” advise the team and help ensure we are back to making progress?

I know SAF was advised against being too involved but I’m sure he still is capable to advising OGS and Phelan on strategy? Two heads are better than one but won’t theee be even better than two? Especially when we have a legendary manager at our disposal for advice?
I am positive about going forward at least for next season if we can rebuild this team coupled with a few summer purchases to beef up our still weak positions.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Dec 2018 15:18:50
SAF is in his late seventies and following his serious illness I would imagine his doctors will be telling him to limit any involvement. Strategy is the key and I believe we should learn from Busby’s influence when he retired and SAF should not be involved if we want to move forward as a club.

Great review Ed. Really funny about the Kamara penalty but worse is when he didn’t score 🤦‍♂️. Real dumb. If you have the balls to challenge the authority to take the penalty the least you could do is convert it else you’re making an arse of yourself 🤦‍♂️🤣.
