Hi all this is my first post even know I check the site every day for the latest rumours. This Sneijder saga is breaking me the same way it did after the world cup last summer Will we sign him won t we I just hope we don t drop the ball in this one and miss out at the last minuet from a mega bid from City. SAF has signed some good talent this window but I still believe an out an out ball winning DM is needed Really disappointed for OH as I think if he hadn t been dogged by injuries he would have been a mainstay in the centre of midfield All that s left to say is I honestly cant wait for the season to kick off {Ed007's Note - Welcome to the site (I need to start cutting and pasting that)

We shud defo sell berbatov, he has been a wonderful servant (no matter wat you see) . Scored 49 goals in 98 games I tink. Also remember Teves goal v s**tty 2009->unbelievable control

Also ronaldo tap in v west ham in 2008->Lionel messi the great , couldn't top that

5 goals v Blackburn

First player in donkey years to score a hat trick v Liverpool

Lads any other great memories of berbatov?

"Sigh" Sydney, Sydney, Sydney, "Sigh"

Everytime we have a dicussion about LFC and United players, why do you persist it fabricating the truth? Especially when it comes to our players.

Downing DID NOT cost 20 mill. He cost 16 mill rising to 20 (same as Henderson). Downing had 4 years left on his contract, Young only had 1 but still cost 16 mill. If Nasri goes to City for 20 mill, will you still say that 16 mill for Young (with one year left, on his contract) was a good deal?

Your stats are true but please tell me, who won Villa's player of year last season? I'll give you a clue mate, it wasn't Ashley Young.

Stop listening to Sky Sports News mate, because i'm in no doubt that's were you get most of your BS crazy prices.

Downing had two years left on his contract, not four you plum.

So going by your reckoning, Young only cost us £12m because the rest is in add-on's. Berbatov's initial fee was only £17m, because the rest was in add-on's. Rooney only cost us an initial £19m as the other £6.6m was add-on clauses. It doesn't matter about add-on's, Henderson & Downing cost you £40m. Deal with it.

And who cares if Young had one year left on his contract? He still cost us £16m and Downing cost you £20m, so who got the better deal?

Does anybody else feel all this chasing of WS may lead to us missing out on a decent player for this position if WS doesn't sign... Also if we sell Berba I would still like some cover let's say Rooney has another dip in form as good as welbeck and macheda are I don't feel they can each reach double figures in the league...

Heres a thought i've been mulling over for some time and thought i'd share. We need a DM type of player to shore up our midfield. Now it's been said that jones can play there while not disputing this i don't feel it's his best position. Both smalling and jones ideally need someone more experienced along side them when at CB. It's well documented that playing at centre back doesn't do your back any good due to the shocks going up your back from landing after jumping to head a ball clear. So to solve all these problems how about we play Ferdinand in midfield to shield the back four and shore up the midfield. That way he won't be doing his already bad back any more damage thus meaning he will suffer less injuries. It would also give smalling and jones a chance to be eased into playing along side vidic to help their development. For me it's the best way to extends ferdinand's career and gives our young centre backs the chance to get experience without throwing them completely in the deep end while also adding the steel needed to our midfield. What do you guys think?

Heres an interesting debate. Who do you feel has the best front two in the league? (rooney/hernandez, torres/drogba, carroll/suarez, van persie/gervinho ect). For me it has to be rooney and hernandez, for what you get from them and for what they cost i think they are by far the best pairing, also they work together better than any of the other pairings. ""
dear mr shappy
on current form?
certainly ngiak and gan
maybe throw in a 007 as the supply line
how about rainfishtrombone and Sydney?
with the Liverpool guys as support?
moon and consred may just surprise everyone
with some Jono and red man and knight

saf wont admit we are interested in ws because he is terrified of been seen to lose out again just like we always do.as i have said on here before we cannot attract the big name players this is not cynisism as has been leveled against me in the past but realism.the glazers run this club as part of their business so the aim is to make money, sadly we do not have an owner like city or chelsea who runs the club for fun and can afford to pay the silly money it takes to get players like sneider et al ...andog

dearest dearest dearest mr james bond

he is coming he is not his salary his wages etc etc etc etc etc
its just the same thing over and over and over again
does that post irritate everyone?
then stop saying the same thing over and over and over...
gan {Ed007's Note - Gan I'm only posting peoples rumours that they have saw on other sites, and people are discussing him. I have lost count of the posts I have to delete everyday about medicals etc. He has actually been seen at OT today with Barton and Nasri according to someone!! There is a lot more going in the bin than getting posted. The only downside is I still have to read them all. And you are on talking about him as well ;-) so pass the painkillers because my head is thumping with it too!}

According to Young he cost £16m, and I think that is a good price for him. It's certainly a better deal than your Downing deal. I will explain why.

Downing:

Age - 27
Cost - 20m
Starts - 39
Goals - 8
Assists - 7

Young:

Age - 26
Cost - 16m
Starts - 38
Goals - 9
Assists - 15

This Sneijder thing is really getting on my moobs If all at Utd are pussy footing around to allow the Italians to save a little face and not piss off their own fans, then we should just walk away. Politics is one thing, but this is ridiculous. The way everyone (not on here) is talking about him, you would think he was the second cousin of Jesus He is simply a good MF player, nothing more. Please Utd, don't bother with such a circus and go find someone on the quite (which is probably happening anyway)

i dont think it's the end of the world if we dont sign anyone else, i think wes s would have signed by now if he wanted to come.I've been really impressed with cleverley and welbeck, i think cleverley given the chance would do a great job.Having watched all the us tour i think we've been impressive, i know we're only playing pigeons but the performances and overall team spirit has been the best i've ever seen pre-season

yesterday you Man Utd fans criticized Us for 3-3 with a norwegian team; I said friendlies don't matter and now today a 8-2 loss and you are saying friendlies don't matter.

just saying it is a tad hypocritical to say the least
