This isn't football related, but I'd just like to say there's lots of amateur psychiatrists on this site and a few who can use a thesaurus. That is all.

I would rather be Darren Fletcher with stacks of titles under my belt with £30m in the bank than Torres with no titles under my belt but with £80m in the bank.

are u joking

would you not rather be the best possible player you could off been,
i no torres hasnt won much (the world cup) but for example i would like to be G Best before D Fletcher any day of the week.
That statement sounds a bit like glory hunting

Sydney, I would have Toni to start most and I would rotate Young & Nani and I think Park could step into the team when injuries occur, which they do. And I would prefer Gotze to Wes. Just as good and 8 years his junior. Gilly

With a deal for Wesley Sneijder still uncertain I think we should be looking at other options. I've said in the past I think its a risk signing Sneijder and nothing has changed that, he is without question a quality player when he is at his best but I winder how he would fit in. I think a perfect alternative is Borussia Dortmund's Mario Gotze. Only 18 years old, probably available for around £20million and would be a great signing. It's the kind of deal United normally do i.e investing in youth and developing them into top players and for me Gotze has huge potential and would flourish at Old Trafford. Modric would be ideal but I doubt a deal could be done.

Your thoughts, Syd or Ed?

And the winner of the most biased post of the year goes to?...............................The Red Manc for this piece of sh*t.

"Blair Mayne YNWA

De Gea - Unproven
Fabio - Very good defender and showed that in the champions league final. I can't remember one mistake he made in that game.?Ç
Rafael - Rash in the challenge but would pick him ahead of any pool rb.?Ç
Rio - Still England's best and a brilliant CB would walk into Liverpools team
Vidic - Best CB in the league and maybe the world?Ç
Evra - Good going forward but poor at the back.?Ç
Carrick - Very under rated. When he has confidence he plays brilliant like the end of last year.?Ç
Anderson - Well I think he is unlucky with injuries and will have a breakthrough year.?Ç
Cleverley - Real talent?Ç
Giggs - Still a brilliant player?Ç
Park - Is a brilliant player, nearly always delivers on the big stage and has scored some crucial goals.?Ç
Nani - best winger in the league?Ç
Valencia - Probably the second best or at least in the top 5?Ç
Young - Brilliant squad player?Ç
Rooney - Brilliant
Berbatov - good sub for any Team
Chicharito - Amazing
Welbeck - up and coming star.?Ç
Smalling and Jones future England CB's. Both brilliant and would start for Pool?Ç
Can't defend either Obertan or Gibson who is being sold btw

The Red Manc"

Congratulations Red Manc mate considering you had some big style biased idiots, to beat. I.e Sydney, Redfaith, TK, etc, etc, etc......Take a bow son.

How can anyone have the cheek to call Sneijder greedy? you have to remember the different taxes over here, he might say he wants 200 grand a week but minus the tax n then its 100 grand, put ur self in his shoes, would you leave your current job for half the pay? He's worth every penny in my opinion n he would make us have that world class midfield we really need. Sell Berba n give the youngsters a shot n lets celebrate number 20 come may

dear unnamed sir
you know what worries ngiak?
its not that liverpool fans are obsessed with man united
thats natural, they are trying to emulate the best team in the land
but the worrying thing is
man united fans here are soooooo easy to bait
and man united fans persistantly find the need to "prove" themselves and liverpool fans wrong
why even bother?
ngiak rather respond to barca fans... :)

matthew makes a good point sneijder is a true worldclass player pos the best midfielder out side of barce, nasri isnt at that level , people would not have a problem with sneijder getting big cash or expect the same, as big players get big wages look at rooney

the sneijder thing now is getting boring just dragging on,believe inter got sum italian cup coming up obviously want him for that then we may get sum movement finally,
so Gill says money there for top signing so surely they must work that on abou 35m for top player as seems the rate, if berba sumhow gets us 18m of PSG then that all must be available for replacement, think owen deserves more games esp after 1st year wen wasnt used&berba was doing nothing,be great 2c sumbody like benzema in but then the hard bit of keeping all happy, wazza& hernandez will be 1st choice but if berba goes wudnt like to have rely on say wellbeck if injurys hap

Why do people keep on going in about sneijder and nasri? Both are class players but i don't think that they ate needed at united. We need another class of fergies fledglings to come through like in 94 with the Nevs, necks, butt, scholes keane etc. Pogba, Morisson, clever are coming through and need to be given more playing time. We ready have gea, jones, smalling, Chico, twins, cleverly all in the making of another great team.

As for sneijder and nasri. Why do people keep on mentioning about wes's age, wages, sell on value? Why would you want to sell him on? He is far better than most of our midfield men and can be a legend till he retires at OT. As for nasri he may or may not fit into the team. He might not want to stay after a few seasons. Look at what happened to other stars who we thought were going to be at old Trafford for life and become legends eg, becks, ronaldo. Ronaldo left. He was for the future but wanted Madrid. If man utd want players to remain and become legends they have to look at home
grown players. There's a couple of gems there like the clas of 94 and we know were they got to... {Ed007's Note - Manchester City have offered cash for Nasri and are confident of sealing a deal. They have been told that Eto'o is NOT for sale and they will try to sign another AM that is definitely NOT Sneijder. They have their eye on another well known player but as yet I don't have a name.}

To all the people saying we shouldn't sign barton because he's a criminal n a thug ect.. are just dumb.

To me that has no relevance to whether or not he can do the business on the pitch,
and these are the same people saying "cant wait to see morrison in the first team" and didn't cantona get a criminal record for that bruce lee kick.

All the best players have that fiery edge to them Maradona, Zidane, Keane, Ian wright, Di Canio ect... not saying barton is in there league but you know what i mean.

The reason i DON'T want barton is he is rumoured to beat up and bully his team mates and bring chaos and unease to a dressing room, but if he's sorted that out, then id have no problem with him joining so long as an attacking mid is signed aswell.

I think barton is better defensively than any midfielder we have and would make quite a useful squad player, added with fact hes free and on qiute low wages you cant complain really.

Nasri played primarily on the wing at Marseilles and has played on the wing far more than anywhere else at Arsenal. Also £20m - £25m with a year left on his contract is expensive. It's the equivalent of paying £35M+ if he had 2 or 3 seasons left on his contract. I didn't hear any United fans last season say "he's one we should go for". As for Nani, he's a far better player than Nasri. Nasri stats were good last season 15 goals and 4 assists. Nani's were awesome 9 goals and 18 assists. Toni Valencia plays as a centre mid for Ecuador, but he like Nasri does his best work out wide.
On another note, Toni would be an awesome wing-back/ right full back.
Mik

Mik, regarding your note about Nani in front of Valencia on the right. Valencia is very level-headed and is getting more experience all the time playing midfield for Ecuador, so is getting used to defending duties. You may just have a very valid point. They would be an awesome pair, and automatically negate a lot of opposing teams attacking wing play because they would fear the combined speed of the 2 together. I personally would prefer Nani over Valencia on the right and would play him there this season (pity he is such a moaner though, I'd love to give him a good slap at times).

I wouldnt be worried about Berba going if PSG are willling to pay upwards of £15mill.

Of his 21 league goals last season 13 came in 4 games which meant he scored in 12 games He didnt register once in the CL and hasnt for over 2 seasons.

We would then have Rooney, Chich, Owen and Welbeck. Thats a pretty good 4. With Nani and Young being capable of playing through the middle and the possibility if Sneijder signing i think we'd be okay attacking wise.

I have been thinking about the Sneijder saga and one thing simply doesn't make sense to me. It is that IF we are going to be able to get a wage package together for Sneijder then why do people think Nasri will join City because they are offering him a better wage package than we are because if we are able to fulfil Sneijder's demands, surely we can pay the same to Nasri?

Sneijder's wage "package" will undoubtedly be considerably higher than what Nasri will be offered at City. So where is the assumption that Nasri will be joining City coming from? Cough, from SAF's statement that "he has agreed to joined somewhere or may stay at Arsenal of course", cough. And the same people who say SAF is lying about nothing being there on the Sneijder transfer choose to believe this statement . Contradictory?

I am sure that SAF, Gill, Glazers will prefer to save almost 10+ mil, some wages and get Nasri instead of Sneijder with the added bonus of proven premier league experience and being a better fit into the team. We have always been ready to pay big for the younger players and preferred to put them on bigger wages instead of buying older players too. Or are we setting different standards on what we can afford and offer for Sneijder and Nasri? That doesn't make sense to me.

Or is Nasri really joining City for the "sporting project"? Surely that is better at United?

So imo, Nasri will either be staying at Arsenal or joining United unless he really prefers City and they are offering him more than what we are "supposedly" offering Sneijder which i think is unlikely. (Just an opinion)

Something to think about. Thoughts?

I am a very honest LFC fan and I would like to give you a very neutral and unbiased assessment of your squad based on your current strength and weaknesses...

Quality players - Rooney, Vidic, Hernandez? (Well, maybe in another 3years)

Players not fit to lace Gerrard's boots - Ji Sun Park, Anderson, Carrick, Nani, Fletcher, Valencia, Young. (Even Sneidjer, if you eventually sign the Real Madrid waste)

Players beyond their peak but were once great - Giggs, Ferdinand. (Who else, Fergusson? Ha)

Players on whose transfers you 'lost it' - berbatov (the 31m disaster who wants to run to PSG for 20M before you totally 'finish' his life), Young (16m confusion that believes he's the best winger in the premirship), De Gea (20m gamble who ca never be VDS), Jones (16m bench designer who thinks he would give Rio a run for his money).

Truth be told, this squad of yours will soon oust Liverpool from its perch of 5 European Cups. Oh Wait By that time we will be 3 European cups more. haha

i see a team was picked yesterday with the next on the wing, blair as secound forward and me at c.b. well i should be captain and blair moved to the out and out forward role leading the line, he is our star man in the team.you should put that well know doctor of philosophy/part time footie puntit gan in the deep lying midfield role to tell everyone where they are going wrong and correct their positions.also put herbie on the subs bench ready to come on, he could give good vocal support, as he likes the old vocals, anyway he would be needed in the first 5mins as sydney would have to come off with a twisted foot as soon as he goes for the ball.rainfish needs to fine tune his skills and learn to stay on his line sometimes and not just come out and attack everything that comes into his area.ed007 will have to do some more scouting north of the border for new players and maybe do the unthinkable and pick 1 or 2 rangers players.our most promising up and coming player is the next, who really could be the next big thing the guys got talent.........lfc
