Patrice Evra has started the most Premier League games for Manchester united in the 2011/12 season. And he is rubbish isn't he? Who is the nerk in charge of this club why doesn't know as much as some posters on here?

Is it that useless Sir Alex bloke?

If it is we should sack him and appoint a new management team of Sydney, Shappy, Sleepy, Grumpy, Dopey, Sneezy, and Doc!!!

Hi all I'm back lol. You would be stupid to back anyone but you to win the league now, all thanks to Mancini being crap at his job and looking to far in the future rather than taking it game by game and your uncanny nack of scrapping out results. Valencia has been excellent this season I must say, the best out and out winger in the league IMO even better than the worldie we have got, Stewart Downing lol. Just him and Hernandez would transform our squad. Before you all start yes I know how crap we have been, our signings have been, our tactics have been, Gerrard and Carragher have been so you don't have to remind me lol. This is the reason I never took the piss out of you for being in the Europa, as I knew thats where we were heading, oh well there is always next year ;-)

Mine would be:

_______ Smheichel

Edwards_Stam_Ferdinand_Stiles
Charlton_Scholes

__ Best_Cantona_Giggs

_________ Law

I'd have loads on the bench I'd love to fit in including Rooney, Vidic, Keane, Beckham, Hughes, Irwin, Van Nistelrooy, Ronaldo (maybe ahead of Giggs) Robson, Sharpe, Kanchelskis, can't get them all in.
Although Edwards could of played anywhere from what I've heard.

In answer to GDS;

Don't get me wrong, I am happy at Evans recent form and will continue to back the lad as long as he wears a red shirt, however, I always feel he has an error in him whenever he takes to the field.

For me, Evans does not have the quality to be a first 11 starter. He is a decent back up but that's it. When Rio, Vidic and Smalling are all fit (I see Jones as a CM) then Evans will be fourth choice. He is another catch 22: he needs to play in a few games to become a consistent player but will only ever play in 1 or 2 games so will not impress and will not get a chance to play more games to become consistent.

As for the goals he has cost us I have a very poor memory but I can remember the game against Basel where all he had to do was head it out of the net but he didn't and the ball was put in the back if the net, then there was the sending off against City and then he played the whole 120mins against a championship side, Crystal Palace, and looked dire! There have been other times where he has not been committed enough in the tackle and the opposition has gone on to score a goal, but as I say I have a poor memory so can not confidently say any specifics.

Afternoon all

Since I haven't seen it discussed on here yet. I said id put it out there now.
Who is everyones United player of the year, pfa player of the year and young player of the year?

For me: United player of the year has to go to Valencia. Obviously Rooney would be up there too, but Toni deserves some serious recognition.

PFA player of the year isnt much of a discussion. Van persie carried an Arsenal team all season, I don't think many would argue against him getting it.

Young Player of the Year will be interesting.

Without being biased, I think we could have been considering tom cleverely here only for his injuries. He was on course to have a great season.
This season im rooting for an underdog and that is Krul of Newcastle, who has displayed some seriously mature keeping and is a big reason why Newcastle are where they are. It is often a position that is overlooked for awards as well. Van der Sar in 09 season for e.g.

However, I have an unsettling feeling that a British based underachiever might snatch it (i.e. Bale, Walker, Walcott)

Story regarding Sam Jones, City youth team player,
Good Lad!
Manchester City youth team player Sam Jones faces a backlash from his own clubs fans after celebrating United's win on twitter.

The Manchester Evening News notes:

A Manchester City player has apologised after he posted support for UNITED on Twitter. Youth teamer Sam Jones took to the social networking site to register his delight after the Reds' vital win at Blackburn on Monday night. He infuriated Blues fans with a series of gleeful tweets during and after the match which Sir Alex Ferguson's men won 2-0 to stretch their lead over Jones's employers to five points.

The defender, from south Wales, kicked off with: "Yeahhhhhhhhhhhh united united united", before following that up with "yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh what a goal!!!"

After the final whistle he finished: "Game over! Ashley Young you king!" A number of Blues fans who spotted the messages hit back. Sharp-eyed City officials were also unimpressed. They gave Jones a dressing down which presumably led to the apology. He later tweeted: "To all City fans I am really sorry for causing offence with my tweets" before adding: "I realise I shouldn't have said those things. The Club have reminded me about my responsibilities as a City player. "

My mate has just text me and said "Guess whos grandkids has been at my mums today mate" I already knew the answer because his mum's auntie is the godparent to some of SAF's grand children. They have left the dog there whilst they have gone into town. Dogs called Stanley and the kid's mum is called Tanya apparently. Shame he is an Arsenal fan, can't believe he was in bed asleep when they turned up. Small world.

I see so many on this page say that Gaitan does not make them "jump off their seat". Did Valencia make anyone jump off their seat while he was at Wigan? Now he is the best winger in the world according to Guardiola. Just a thought.

Onto Hazard, he impresses me much more when playing in the attacking midfield role behind the striker than he does on the wing. We all know SAF wanted Nasri last summer, Hazard is a similar type of player, but the more talented one imo.

I would personally like to see Anderson sold this summer and maybe Nani too, but only if we are going to bring in a quality replacement on the wing.

Hazard might solve, both our issues of the creativity behind the striker and the consistency from the left wing, but a quality central midfielder to dictate the tempo of the player is also needed, so is a left back.

I don't think we absolutely "need" a striker this summer. After all Barcelona do not play with any out and out striker and they seem to be doing just fine. Quality ball players in attack is what is required. "If" rooney gets injured playing wellbeck with somebody like a Hazard behind him, with Young and Valencia on the wings would do well even in the absence of Rooney imo.

My Ideal summer would be Izaguirre, Modric/Martinez, Hazard/Gaitan(2nd choice). That is perfectly possible imo if Nani, Anderson, Berbatov, and a few others are all sold.

I think Tottenham may be willing to negotiate on Modric this summer, and even if PSG are interested does anybody see him moving to the French League and turning down United? He does not seem to be that type of a player. And with Chelsea might not being in the CL next year, chasing Modric might be the smarter option this summer.

I cant believe I backed off Mad Hatter. Yesterday was a cringeworthy day for my posts.

just to put this straight
slated a load of "naive" as you put it man u fans and then lecture me on slating you, telling me to shhh and run along.

you made the divide of those who do right and those who do wrong
and put yourself in the former camp .
thats acting as if your an authority on the subject. when all you did is jump the bandwagon of somone elses point to try and squeeze a few extra laughs out of it.
at the expense of "naive" posters.
slating others for bandwagoning and then doing it yourself. the irony is what got my attention
it honestly did make me laugh and my reply wasnt just to you it was offering my opinion that was forming over a few days which is just my way. I never took it so serious till I read your reply. then i thought what a dick.
but then im more than sure someone will be thinking you too kiddo.
for the last year ive been inconsistant trying to fit in. enough is enough. I am what I am.

Because we won against Blackburn people have forgotten Howard Webb's mediocre display. Hanley's elbow on Scholes went unseen. Then there was Scholes great tackle on Pederson (I think?) that Webb wrongly deemed a foul. The resulting freekick could have cost us the league if they had scored from it.

HI GUYS ANY TRUTH IN THIS AT ALL PLS?

Start at Ajax's visit to Old Trafford and the pride radiating from his eyes. The victory (1-2) contributes to this, but the main contributors Ajax itself. It was the full ninety minutes long celebration in the outbox. Manchester United is thinking of measures and carry out a test soon.

Atmosphere at Old Trafford
Ajax at Old Trafford were placed on the upper ring of the Alex Ferguson Stand. This is not the original outbox, because that is a lot lower during league matches, just behind the goal. This is tradition in England, but to create a buffer zone means that many tickets for the Mancunians themselves lost.

A lover of both Manchester United and Ajax, Mark Scutt, sneaking a bigger fan of Ajax or Man Utd, mailed this news because he is sure that the club has decided that after the memorable visit of more than 3,000 Ajax. The move from the outbox is tested mid-April at the home of Man Utd against Aston Villa. If the test succeeds, moved permanently to the top of the outbox.

"Man Utd hopes in this way a better atmosphere directly behind the goal. By uitfans upward move, visiting supporters should sing louder to be heard," Mark emails. In the statement of the club itself is of course slightly different interpretation, but Mark has more information. And not all visiting supporters sing as loud as the Ajax fans.

"Before Ajax to Manchester, I heard no word about it! The idea is that we have our own purpose behind the F-side systems, such as the Arena that has already been used," he continues. "The fanatical supporters, representing the outbox on Stretford End sit, trying to ensure against Ajax atmosphere by with flags waving, which also gained inspiration in the Arena, but that's not quite as successful."

All this about Gaitan&yes only seen him a few times not like every week but at min he doesn't have that make me jump about on me seat thinkin we def got to sign him,not one so far that if signed summer you would be wanting new season straight away to see him in a Utd shirt, yes Ronaldo's don't come along very often but for a club of United then surely we must be buying attacking players who make you get to the edge of your seat or stand as you know something may just happen

Just my two cents - wouldn't be surprised at all if the summer sees us with Clyne, Kovacic, Strootman and Damiao / Llorente (plus maybe Hoilett and a left back). Tbh I'd be really happy with that bit of business and deadwood being cleared and some kids signing new deals - Pogba, Welbeck, Cleverley, Tunners, Fryers, Brady and Petrucci

Although its 99% likely that its a load of old tosh as its in the mirror but what do people think of Oscar De Marcos? I was quite impressed with him when he played us, good in the tackle good reading of the game with very good passing and tecnique looked like he could become quite a player, although I must say that is based on the two games i've seen him in, personally i'd want to watch him 12-15 times before I could get a proper picture of whatbhe's like. Does anyone on here watch Bilbao enough to have a better idea or what he's like?
