well we had couple of chances, rvp did ok when he came on better then speedy gonzales(chicarito) and kawaga did his best, chicarito should have scored there.rvp was unlucky, rather than that we where poor. ps: someone please call 911 and get moyes some help, he can't handle the job being the manager of our great club, I blame saf for this one and moyes for ignoreing saf advice, zee:) have a nice day guy's, ed's ;)

wussup lads ain't posted in a long time most of won't remember me, anyway watching the game 2nite so p'd off not jus because of the lack of flair, passion, movement and general lack of balace in the side my main problem is I think i'm actually beginning 2 HATE valencia I haven't been his biggest fan for a while, but my dislike for him has hit a new low and turned into hatred! he only either ruins buid up play or runs in straight lines he doesn't know the meaning of creativity as I say don't post often but I had to let it out and share my hatred.
i hate u enough said.

good one mate, let it alll out:)

Agree0 Disagree0

There were a lot worse utd players than valencia played tonight

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha Valencia was one of our better players, along with Smalling, Rooney, Rvp, Kagawa (second half) Vida + Rio and maybe Evra. Giggs in the middle once again was awful, Fellaini apart from a couple of tackles never made any great passes. Chica didn't do the only thing he's good at, putting the ball in the net from infront of the goal.

The game was crying out for a bit of confidence and determination to get forward, basically Januzaj.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thought apart from the sending off, Fellaini was pretty decent last night.

Some decent passes forward to try and start attacks, and a good physical presence throughout.

Can look clumsy though, I admit.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Fellaini's best game so far in a United shirt was against Leverkusen, genuinely made some passes Carrick would be proud of. Since then i've seen nothing great of him.

If we play that badly at the weekend it could be very embarrassing and potentially 11 points off first place.

I am starting to get worried. Real sociedad are a woeful team this season, yet we could not get a result. The January transfer window cannot come quick enough, but by then it may well be too late.

By the way did anybody see the juventus/ Real Madrid game, there was this brilliant powerful, energetic midfielder called Paul pogba, just what we need. Oh wait a minute.

Ashley Young is the worst player I've seen in a long time at united, he offers absolutely nothing, I'd actually pay someone to get him off the wage bill, what an embarrassment

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Not my favourite player either but to be fair he did win a penalty and put in a mint cross for rvp to hit the post.

not bad for 10 minutes on the pitch

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes he did " win " a penalty!

Agree0 Disagree0

Fully took the words from my mouth. Every time I see him on the pitch, every touch of the ball I end up shouting at the screen. He's just so predictable and seems to have lost all his speed and skill. I would love to see him sold, that in itself would be progress in the transfer window.

In summer when analysing Fellaini I pointed out that he was big and clumsy and would give too many fouls away particularly in Europe. No one should therefore be the least bit surprised at his dismissal. Watching him tonight you just waited for the final little foul that would bring the second yellow. Entirely predictable.
The opposition were very ordinary tonight yet we couldn't score and we were limited in our efforts to do so. It is worrying that our clubs most exciting player is 18 and the result of not playing him is a very dull performance. Was anyone really entertained by that? in fact have we entertained very much at all in the last three years? Whisper it quietly but across Manchester another team who have already qualified are free scoring and playing the sort of football we used to be renowned for.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Red Man
Spot on, they also play with pace, can keep the ball and look dangerous at all times.

Who did that remind you of.

Roll on January and Summer as we need serious investment.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fellaini was always going to be a disaster for us. Looks as lost as Remi Moses in the team. No pace, slow to react, no footballing brain at all. This lummox cost £27 million! And Young should never wear the shirt again. Ever.
Moyes has been handed a bowl of cold spew unfortunately and to compound matters he has neither the wherewithal nor character to do anything other than impose the Everton model on the team. There is no quick fix but a new, dynamic manager will be required sooner rather than later.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm starting to think we need our other youngsters back. They have the right attitude to attack and attack. Lingard I reckon would have done just as well as Adnan. Powell would be handy too and it would be nice if Zaha was played.

Agree0 Disagree0

Perhaps if Moyes had spent less of his time briefing the press about Adnan needing "protection" from nasty CDM players and defenders he could have advised his own players to be equally "soft" and they would have stayed on the pitch!
I know Fergie was very successful with this approach in the past, and I know I am an outsider looking in, but it seems to me that Moyes should distance himself from past tactics and be his own man, otherwise he starts to look pretty foolish when it goes pear shaped.

Well I don't know what everyone else thinks but that was really poor. Weaker than dishwater. No cutting edge other than about 3 minutes, nothing to shout about. Its crazy, but without Januzaj, Rooney and RVP on the pitch at the same time, we have no spark. Very disappointed and hugely pissed off to see us not get the victory - money lost from my pocket, 2 points lost and an hour and a half of life wasted. Moyes didn't look too happy either (which is a good thing).

Well I am glad I didn't have to pay to watch that. I appreciate that negativity is not helpful but hey even if we are Manchester United we do still need to play football if we want to win. Been like this for a couple if years and Moyes just reinforces A losing mentality. Please please please introduce some entertaining football into the equation then I will be back to supporting the team, win or lose. I just want feel the love again.

Redman, the Tampa Bay issue is one that I have raised a number of times on this site. It was not so long ago the Bucs won the Superbowl - since then it has been down hill all the way. This season they are 0-8.

Not only has there been a lack of investment in players at United compatible with market forces, what spending we have made has largely been to acquire players who are simply not of the quality to compete at the highest levels, or not what was required to address the weaknesses in the team. RVP was a great short term acquisition, de Gea a long term one, and Chicharito was a steal, but other than that, who?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Peashooter

You only have to look at the state of the team tonight to see the lack of investment. We are so far away from the quality of the top teams it is concerning

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed. too many players who are good and but no where near enough who are consistently excellent.

I think about 10 top players need bringing in before this squad is anywhere near the best European teams

I'm I the only one who thinks Hernandez contributes little to the the team. That's why he dosent start games. He's much better as a sub. Thoughts?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I hate to state the obvious but a fox in the box needs decent balls played into him to be able to contribute, and as our wing
play and attack from midfield was quite poor then he isn't going to contribute a great deal, I believe he is one of the best of his type of player around.

Agree0 Disagree0

Is this the fox in the box who missed an open goal from 6 yards?

Rvp on the bench, quite surprised at that

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Y? he's carrying knocks and its an ideal time to rest him

Agree0 Disagree0

Chris
He didn't look like he was carrying a knock at the weekend it was his best game of the season for me .

We should do a double bid in the summer, money and Kagawa for Reus and Gundogan

Then buy a leftback and a Centreback.

I have a few questions:

1. Which of SAF's transfer deals did Moyes supposedly scupper, if indeed this was the case?
2. Would you expect United's approach to the January window to be different depending on our position in the league at Xmas time.
3. While top players may be cup tied and, in any event may not want to leave contending teams during mid-season, will Moyes's approach be driven by achieving a top 4 finish above all other concerns, or by building for the longer term.
4. Does the fact that the summer transfer window will be effectively foreshortened/complicated by the World Cup, add to the need to bring in players this winter?
5. Will the Glazers actually open the chequebook if Moyes can identify appropriate targets?
6 Given service our strike force (Rooney, Chicha, RVP, Januzaj) seems as good as any teams, and de Gea is clearly world class. Other than Rafael and Carrick, who is good enough but is aging, is there anyone who doesn't need replacing if we are to remain a top European team?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

1. Garay, Strootman and Thiago?
2. Not really, Moyes still knows regardless of a few good results, we still need quality adding to the team.
3. Top 4 without question, large amount of money to miss out on otherwise.
4. I don't think so, we just need to be better prepared and carry out business earlier.
5. Yes.
6. In the short term Rio, Vidic and Evra need replacing. In the not to distant future, I'd say that Carrick also does, preferably sooner rather than later as although he's been great for us, we need legs in the middle. 3 or 4 quality signings over the next two windows should sort the first team out as currently, I don't think Moyes has a clue what his best #11 is. We have too many players who have a good game or two, then play awful. We need consistency.

Agree0 Disagree0

I still think Strootman was just what we needed. A lot of fans said he was slow and not United quality etc but he has gone to Roma and, so far, shown to be a success. Yes it is Serie A where the pace of the game is slower but he is an important part to a good side. It's especially galling if it was true that Moyes decided against a deal for him considering he then went out and spent so heavily on Fellaini.

Agree0 Disagree0

5. The answer to this question remains to be seen. The Glazers have yet to stamp any authority on the market, a market that has moved on in the last few years and we are yet to see our owners catch up. I noted they wouldn't go the last few million for Herrera in summer and Woodwards recent comments were revealing. We are suffering from a chronic lack of major investment in the best players during recent years, years where our better players have aged and the first team standard declined, an average £25m a season just will not bring us up to speed. Take a look at Tampa Bay and a US football fan was telling me they are suffering from under investment.
It is time for the Glazers to bring us back to the level by spending but I am yet to be convinced they will

am I the only one who thinks that chicharito retweeting sky's article about his future was stupid, .i mean its not like he is benched for macheda but for two of the best strikers in the world, and beside I think kagawa has received worse treatment than him.i think there are better ways of voicing his opinions rather than social media

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Well maybe he wants to go to a team where he doesn't have to rival 2 of the world's best strikers.

Agree0 Disagree0

It would be a shame if he left, and by no means I want him to leave. BUT he's never really developed his all round game to make it at United. His finishing and the runs he makes are truly top class but his control is worse than a pissed donkey. Also I don't think i've ever seen him score a goal from outside the penalty area, not necessarily a bad thing just putting it out there.
