Use our rumours form to send us manchester united transfer rumours.

Ok so I didn't post for more than a week. Reading it daily and laughing at some panic supporters. Fellaini is a good buy. He was good in a mediocre team and I expect him to be better with playing in a good squad. Our midfield cleverly especially may now play a bit with bravery and not side passing as there will be a steel in the centre. I sometimes don't agree with Sydney! opinions regarding Rooney but I am with him on this that we will have a good chance of winning the league.

Chelsea for me are in self destruction mode having not playing Mata is a big time mistake.

My predictions

1 Manchester United
2 Arsenal
3 City
4 Chelsea/ Spurs

Believable0 Unbelievable0

IMHO you are completely deluded! Chavski are not in self destruct mode at all. Man City are extremely strong and the spuds currently have a much stronger squad than Man Utd. When ever a truly great manager leaves a club there is a vacuum. The club has to re-organise and pick itself back up. that's what has happened to you lot. You still tsart games with Giggs and that is outrageous for a club of your stature. Combine this with dithering David in the transfer window and the league will look more like this-

1 Chavski
2 City
3
4
5

the remaining european places are up for grabs between the spuds, LFC, ARSEnal, and you lot. Taggart was worth 15 points a season for you lot just walking into the dressing room. Those missed points will be telling at the end of the season

Agree0 Disagree0

Arsenal 2nd? No chnace

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm going to say-

1- Manchester United
2- Clelsea
3 -Arsenal
4 -City/Spurs.

Agree0 Disagree0

Top spot will be between us city and Chelsea but arsenal scouse and spurs are all improving .
Think it will be a better league this year

Agree0 Disagree0

I did this the other day.

1) Manchester United
2) Chelsea
3) Manchester City
4) Arsenal
5) Spurs
6) Liverpool/Everton
7) Everton/Liverpool

I think we have the squad and 'know how' to win the league. Although we do not have the first XI to win the UCL this season. Chelsea will have the clown in charge and he will stamp belief into the players. Arsenal will always finish strongly and I think Spurs will need a season to gel. I am not too fussed about this season. This is a big time for our transition and if we finished 2nd or 3rd it wouldn't be the end of the world. However I do expect us to win the league, but we will need players like Rooney and Nani to find their old form again. I think we are missing Rafael too.

Agree0 Disagree0

You've a very biased point of view don't you syd?

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd completely agree wiv Sydney, but only swap Everton for Swansea.

Agree0 Disagree0

Southampton could surprise a few as well

Agree0 Disagree0

Kiwi, come back at the end of the season and you can apologise to me. You will have had a good season if you finish 6th. But do not expect BR to keep his job.

Agree0 Disagree0

Syd
Do you really think Rogers will get the sack

Agree0 Disagree0

Your all deluded! United Champions? Not a hope in hell
Top 6 will be:

1. Manchester City
2. Chelsea
3. Liverpool
4. Arsenal/Tottenham
5. Tottenham/Arsenal
6. Swansea/Manchester United

Write Liverpool off all you like, but they will be in the mix next May

David Moyes won't improve you, and nor will the poor signing (Panic buy) he made on deadline day

I will be back in May to gloat. Remember the name RD and remember my prediction!

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh I am definitely going to remember the name RD.

A post that starts with 'your all deluded' and then posts the most deluded post I've ever seen on here is fantastic, thanks for giving me a laugh RD.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jred, yes, if they finish 6th or 7th like I expect Liverpool will do, I think they will sack him.

Agree0 Disagree0

RD, you will be in the mix with Everton & Swansea for sixth spot. We will be at least 25 points clear of you.

Agree0 Disagree0

RD

You need to watch some football and at least have some basic understanding of what makes a top 4 team.

There is 1 or 2 players from your current set up that would get into the squads of arsenal, chelsea, city, united, spurs. Unfortunately one likes to bite and not sure how good that is for team moral and the other one is too old and too much of a scourer :)

You will be better this year but 6th it is at best . Remember what br says it is a project with completion date unknown LOL

BTW you will take 1 point from your next 2 games and that might bring you boys back to reality.

Great to see another fine international performance from Welbeck tonight! 8 goals in 18 internationals isn't a bad return if you ask me?! Especially considering he is playing out wide. He is still young and can improve a lot and I hope he can keep up this form for club and country! He has a great attitude as well and deserves a bit of credit.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The physio room website is still showing 'no return date' for him so I'm guessing not any time soon.

Wonder who you guys would of preferred fellaini or Barkley and I know another one for the future wasnt exactly what we needed but is fellaini the answer?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Different kind of players and I think we need Fellaini more at the moment but I do really like the look of Barkley. Might be worth trying to offer Cleverley or Anderson plus cash for him in a season or 2? If Everton are willing to do business with us again that is.

Cesc Fàbregas: "I wouldn't have gone to Manchester United for double or even triple the amount of money that I earn now."

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It's easy to say that now, appeases the Barca faithful. But I can't believe that he wasn't interested at all with all the interest we showed.

He doesn't feature in Barca's first 11 when the big games come, and we'll see if he gets in the starting 11 for Spain at the World Cup next year.

I'm not bitter, I think he's absolutely class, and I would play him now. Maybe drop Xavi into Biscuit's role? I'd certainly play him as an inverted winger rather than sit him on the bench!

Wonder what might of been if we'd bid £40+ million plus some add ons over time?

Agree0 Disagree0

Easy for him to say that now. If that's how he feels fair enough, but why didn't he come out and say that after our first bid. I admire players who are loyal to their clubs, but you have to question their sincerity when they do their talking after the event. At least he has tried to show his loyalty though. Are you listening Mr Rooney?

Agree0 Disagree0

Fabregas was never ever ever ever going to sign for united, he dislikes moyes after moyes tried to shaft him with the F.A. also unlike rvp fabregas does love arsenal and wouldn't play in the EPL unless it was with arsenal, some Man United fans may find it imposible to comprehend a player doesn't want to come to you, but hey-ho there you go

Agree0 Disagree0

The word

You keep telling yourself whatever it is that helps you sleep better at night mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

I posted a long time ago that fabregas wouldn't come and was stringing us along as he hates us, I said at the time did anyone remember him throwing pizza at the greatest manager that ever lived! He wanted to mess up our transfer plans for this window and thank to a mixture of niaevity and incompetence from deadwood, he got his wish.

Agree0 Disagree0

Tookers, many players use MU's name to get a better contract with their club, but I think Cesc wanted playing assurances from Barcelona in a World Cup year. He used MU as a way of getting assurances. His agent knew we were interested in strengthening that position so we were the perfect club to use for his benefit. SAF and Gill would have figured this out much quicker than Moyes and Ed did. I guess when you have an agent saying his client wants to join, so make bids for him, Moyes must have thought Christmas has come early. 002 did give us hints like "why would Cesc want to leave Barcelona?" If 002 knew what was going on then surely our CEO should have figured it out earlier?

Agree0 Disagree0

Syd
I think a lot of people on this site worked it out pretty early

Agree0 Disagree0

Those comments are being taken completely out of context. He is merely showing his huge allegiance to Barca. He at no point shows evidence of 'hate'

So, transfers are done, time for predictions now we know who we all have (at least until January). I think

United and Chelsea 1st and 2nd (not us which way round).
City 3rd
Arse 4th
Spurs 5th
Liverpool 6th

I think City will stutter this year and despite all their signings, Spurs need to get them all to gel and find the right formation. Liverpool fans will all get nose bleeds as they finally finish 6th and I can't split us and Chelsea. Thoughts?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I wouldn't argue with any of that AJH

Agree0 Disagree0

I think us, Chelsea and City fighting it out in top 3. I predict 2nd for us for some reason. The rest I agree with.

Agree0 Disagree0

Careful you will have the scousers back on moaning they are only 6th when everyone knows they should be nearer the top based on their last few game LAST season!

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we'll come good, I think some of last years poor performers will step up and deliver given a fresh start. Another title beckons (Giggsy's last!)

I think Chelski and Citeh will battle out for 2 and 3.

Arsenal always surprise people, I see them 4 or maybe 3 again.

Not sure Tottenham will be that strong, maybe Liverpool will sneak 5th, or Everton - the best team on Merseyside.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi lpool fan here I wouldn't really disagree with u saying we will finish 6th quite poss, but think it will be Chelsea man city top 2 and any of the teams out of arsenal, spurs urselves or Liverpool could finish in any order after those 2, i'd expect your experience to get u in top 4 but you never know, just feel the loss of fergie is bigger than any player u ever lost, I think the results between u, us, spurs, and arsenal will determine who finishes where and believe me not saying that because of sundays result as long long way to go as lpool fan I know we could go on a bad run or continue on a good run, that is just the stage we r at as a team, but whatever happens think it will be close for those other cl spots which makes for an interesting season

Agree0 Disagree0

Did everybody in Liverpool have a day off when they were teaching paragraphs?

Agree0 Disagree0

Spurs Top 3 for me. Top 4 might be ver controversial :)

Today is the day we played our 1st match under the name of Manchester united 111 years ago. We've come a long way since then with all the joys and the heartbreaks.
And today also marks the day when two years ago my girlfriend in a very romantic mood said to me "you complete me" and the only thing that came came out of mouth was "United completes me". Well I was drunk so could only speak the truth. Has been a rollercoaster ride ever since ;)

Hi Eds. this is post directed at you guys, but if you want to put it on the page, brilliant.

A suggestion for the site. now that everybody has to have a username to post on here, have you guys ever thought about maybe being able to make a Bio for ourselves? So when people would click on people's names, as well as their recent posts etc, they could also see some more information about the person? Perhaps. age, where they're from, favorite player, best Manchester United moment etc. I think it could really help the banter if we all knew a bit more about everyone, and would probably encourage more people to register as it could maybe make the site feel more like network of supporters rather than just a discussion site.

Anyway. just a thought! Not to say the site isn't great now of course, but maybe something that could make it better!

Hi guys
Just want to praise the job moyes has done so far.
Listen where not completely happy how the transfer window went, but i'm very happy with the signing off fellaini, this postion has been a problem since roy keane left, and so what if we have paid over the odds. If we had not of signed him we all would be moaning saying to pay what it takes!
I believe moyes is making us play better aswel. We dominated chelsea and liverpool at anfield! Giggs has been trusted for the big games but I would expect kagawa to play more! let's get behind moyes and support him all the way!. come on moyesies boys!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Stop posting sense man, we're having a crisis and panicking. Get with the programme

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't get why loads of fans are panicking. Where a solid team now. And the lift fellani will give us will be huge. Also nani getting another deal is great news. Whatever people say he is our best winger and the confidence he will get will be a big boost

Agree0 Disagree0

Because everyone else signed players we wanted and our team is really poor and Fellaini is ok but won't make much of a difference and Cleverley only passes sideways and Welbeck isn't good enough and Nani is inconsistent and Rooney is overweight and Moyes is rubbish and aloud ward is an alien and Valencia is dreadful and Anderson is morbidly obese and and and

You get the general picture

Just thought I would add my view to the Nani debate.for what its worth!
I too think we could see a rejuvenated Nani this season. Moyes clearly rates him, and has shown this by the new contract. Having his managers trust and faith will give the player a confidence boost on its own. I also think that if we go with the 4-2-3-1 (or similar) formation will also Nani flourish. He has been mainly played as an orthodox right winger under SAF, a position that also carries important defensive responsibilities. which is obviously not his strong point. For this reason, SAF often preferred Valencia over Nani (no jokes please!) due to his tracking back more and giving more cover to the full back.
If we do go with the above formation, out attacking "3" will do their defending higher up the pitch, a bit like Xavi, Iniesta etc at Barcelona involving more closing down and pressing the opposition, rather than just tracking back and getting "stuck in", so to speak.
Nani has loads of ability, he just doesn't show it often enough. If he can get a good run in the team and find some form, I really think he could be a very good player for us. He is certainly capable of it, as many of his performances for Portugal have shown. I know he can be the most frustrating of players, as I have been known to shout the add expletive at him myself!
Lets hope he can find some form, and consistency soon, and we could see the player he has the talent to be. We had a disappointing transfer window, but if Nani along with Rooney and Kagawa can get playing regularly and keep fit, it would almost be like 3 new signing compared to last season.
. or am I being too optimistic?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Great name swollocks! totally agree - with a fully fit front four of Rooney, RVP, Nani and Kagawa we would be pretty tough to beat plus with Carrick/Jones and Fellaini sitting behind and us playing a higher tempo pressing game things would look a lot brighter than the last few years!

I posted a few weeks ago when the fabregas story got leaked that it was all the club appeasing the fans and it was never going to happen, and said we would get fellaini at best. I've been thinking about it since monday and then it came to me, what did moyes do so well with at everton?/ overachieving on a budget. He is going to have to do the same here. Sure I read that the team which finishes bottom of the league this season gets more money than munich got for winning the champions league. Its going to be an interesting season, one thing I think though is that we have a stronger midfield than last year, so let's create some more history and not live of it like the down the road.

5 days onwards and time to move on I guess.

I wanted to just mention that I was one of first and few people who came out an supported Moyes appointment over the likes of Mourinho and have not changed my mind. I also think Fellaini is good signing and have been consistent in backing that decision from the start when news came out that we are interested in him.

I am disappointed with the Clubs hierarchy and believe we have been led down the garden path and will take everything coming from these guys with a pinch of salt. It is a shame because this team was 2 key signings away from genuinely competing for cl glory and that would have been some start to the a new managers reign. Having said that we will be very difficult to play against and no pushover for anyone.

I guess we now focus on winning football games until the silly season in december/January. I do believe we need a minimum of 7 points from our next 3 games, which includes a CL fixture.

So let's get behind the guys and hope Rooney is back as soon as possible and guys like nani, kagawa have career years. All in all a good team which will compete and it will need certain players performing at a higher level compared to last year.

I am bored and hate international breaks and can't wait for next weekend. Hope all our guys come back without injuries and looks like we have a full healthy squad to choose from.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

To be fair Woodward came out and said we didn't need any major retooling and we didn't get any. As much as we feel we need major retooling and other people saying the club lied to us, one thing we can't really say is that Woodward lied to try and sell season tickets, he did try and warn us.

Agree0 Disagree0

GDS2

Don't make excuses for the muppet. He leaves on urgent transfer business 6 weeks ago to do a 11.59 deal on deadline day for a player who he could have had all summer.

Call it what you want they just got it all wrong. The manager said we are looking to sign world class and no limitations with money.

Anyway let's just drop this as I will never agree with anyone defending him especially.

It is one of 2 things:

1.He fed us bs
2.He is completely useless as CEO and got it all wrong.

Big difference between getting money for high leveraged buyout and signing obscure sponsorship deals to buying players and understanding the details of that side of the business. On the job training is not something you could afford a CEO.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fellaini is a better player than a lot give him credit for, I made this point a few months back and got a bit of stick it seems a few have changed there mind (sharham not you by the way)
My only issue with fellaini and moyes is that I don't think a dm in the style of fellaini we form a good partnership with Carrick.
I think a Carrick fellaini cm is a bit negative I think our main issue is how we convert possession in to attack and the speed at which we move the ball from back to front.
Im not sure fellaini improved this it also makes us quite slow in the middle.
With moyes my concern has always been that he plays a defensive style of football which served him well at Everton but I'm not sure at United.
I think United while successful haven't played attractive football for a while and at the moment I don't see fellaini and moyes changing that.
Imo I would like to see a creative player next to Carrick or fellaini for that matter.

One more thing fellaini and Carrick in a 2 as part of a 4_2_3_1 would be better but still a bit slow how ever it looks like moyes is more likely to play 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1 I think wingers may be prominent and Rooney will play more as a striker near rvp this year

Agree0 Disagree0

Fellaini offers something in both boxes both defensively and offensively. But what worries me is the bits in between. He is cumbersome at times, his distribution isn't great. He is slow and clumsy on the ball most of the time. He will need to improve and get sharper.

No doubt he will start next to Carrick, but if we need a goal he will move further up. I wonder if Nani being given a chance by Moyes means he will play left? Moyes wanted Coentrao and will probably look at him again in January, could we see a future Portuguese left side?

Agree0 Disagree0

Jred you are spot on. I think we have lacked pace in the team for a few years and don't play at the high speed that most of us are used and loved. It all is due to lack of pace in what many call it our spine starting with cb and midfielders.

Whilst we have decent pace down the wings, the support is usually 20 yards behind and not many options in the box. Having said that and given our players and set up, Fellaini is a good buy and suits the system he wants to play which is a much slower buildup and more possession.

Agree0 Disagree0

Shahram,

I have a feeling my sarcasm may have been lost on you, so yes maybe best we drop it.

I see some people questioning Nani getting a new contract. I think the fact that he was been priced around 10m was a joke and so what was the point in selling him for that measly amount.

The guy now feels Moyes has absolute confidence in him and giving his ego he could kick on and really start to show all of us what we know he can do and do it more consistently. worst case scenario he is his usual maddeningly frustrating self and we try sell him this time at least tied to a bigger contract and could get a few more quid for him

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Sorry Gan, but I have to disagree with at least part of your assessment. Having been recruited in the past in a professional capacity to a multi-national company having a far greater turnover than United, it was expected that I would up and running from day 1, having studied the company before joining. It is not the fans who arrange transfers, but the team including the managing director and the manager. They clearly were not able to persuade marquee players to join (Mr Fallaini is an excellent acquisition) just in the same way that Mr Hazard claimed last year that Chelsea had a more attractive project (as did Mr Pogba at Juventus). The lessons from 2012 had not been learnt.

Sydney are you mad? if SAF couldn't get anything out of Nani, what do you think Moyes is going to get? Not to mention how many teams really wanted to buy him from us?

Bottles selling Rooney, gives Nani who can't play two good games back to back a new contract, starts Giggs.
What really must be going through Kagawas and Chicos head I could only wonder!

It's been a comedy and an embarrassment the past 2 months as a United fan.
I'm just waiting for him to temp P. Neville back into playing

Melwing28"""
dear mr melwing28
ngiak guesses the number on your name is your age, not the number of years of support
and ngiak also thinks that Sydney is not the "mad" one
a few players have already come out to praise moyes about his professionalism and his training methods
ALL the players look fitter and seem to have adopted a system of play that has tightened up the back
sir alex failed at that on numerous occasions
he has finally managed to plug a gap that has existed since the roy keane era that sir alex has failed to address for so many years
he is looking for a creative midfielder and a left back to fill our most deficient areas in the team
which sir alex has failed to even notice
he has managed to keep rooney and persuade him to work for the team
while sir alex has been constantly trying to ostracise him = arguably the club's icon and greatest talent in the squad
and resurrect nani, possibly - something that sir alex gave up on long ago
chicarito will play, kagawa will get a greater role
and ngiak suspects the comedy and the greatest embarrassment
are not the transfer window debacle by a very raw and new company of people,
but the long standing so-called fans who are showing their impatience and "glory hunting" nature
that's very sad as ngiak believes these guys need a chance to settle down and stamp their class and authority which may take a couple of years
its the fans that has to support and encourage
just imagine you just started work in a big corporation and you get scolded and ridiculed from day one
think mr "fan"

Agree0 Disagree0

I personally agree that Nani can be a game changer this season

Agree0 Disagree0

I m not entering the debate here but nani is right now our best winger. now he is back to his full fitness and physical shape. most creative of all in what we have. not afraid to take on his man.
but I have notice he is best suited to right side.
SAF always wanted to give cover to rafael so he opt for valencia who has defending ability. thus getting selected over nani.
forcefully trying to set him on left was not working, SAF or his staff has never marked that his best performances are coming from the right side.
now I guess nani will get more chances on right side with matured rafael. and will show what he can do from there.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just want to say I've been thinking the same thing. Nani's best season in a United shirt was when he played on the right. He was banging in goals and assist in all season long. Then Nani had to move to the left because Valencia can only kick a ball with his right foot. Like Valencia a lot but also think that we have to consider playing on the left is not the same as from the right seeing Nani's best position is on the right.

Gan/Ngiak,

It pains me to say this, as you normally speak sense, nevertheless. Can you please explain to me why it is "glory hunting" to be concerned by the lack of professionalism and ambition demonstrated in the transfer market this summer? Granted, I am past the point of caring about the summer's shortcomings now, but to label anybody who expresses a justifiable criticism a glory person is a one hell of a generalisation, built on the foundation of false assumption.

On the subject of "support and encourage" weren't you guilty of expressing your criticism at Giggs' continued preference in the starting lineup only several weeks ago?

though we had disappointing summer,
there is still 1 good news

we get fellaini.

and it makes indirect good news that

we are spared from seeing" back and side passer" cleverly, who provides nothing at all in attacking and defensive form.

fellaini will start regularly along side carrik that will lessen his starting appearance. or he will start in small matches against players of his caliber.

good news for me.

Guys, Liverpool fan here in peace - just wanted to say I can't believe how many are writing you lot off! Still the same team that pretty much walked the league last year, and I honestly think Fellaini will be an absolute beast in midfield for yous.

Think Jones will turn out to be immense as well, lot of debate about his best position, I personally think he'd make a great midfielder in the Bryan Robson type role for yous, saw him for England a while back in that role and he was fantastic - the one for me to watch this year though has got to be Kagawa, think the guy has so much potential.

I see some Liverpool fans building up the first 3 games and whilst its nice to have made a good start there are still 35 left! Whilst I obv hate your club lol, I love the banter between us - long may it continue!

Good luck for the rest of the season guys

Great to see liverpool fans commenting on our page, you can clearly see that they are suffering from altitude sickness as a result of their current league position with all they dribble they are spouting. But they need'nt get concerned by rushing to their doctor as it won't be long before they return to normal top ten position really soon.

In a bedroom somewhere in England Percy has just 'finished' for the 10th time today.

I'm surprised he isn't back on here today I must admit, hope he's ok!

He is seeking medical attention for his massive right arm as over use in these last few weeks leading up to Nani's contract being signed has resulted in elephantitus of his arm as well as his other appendage.
