Ok out of our youth what players do you think are good enough to play in the first team next season(not every game obviously). I would go for petrucci, pogba brady and maybe fryers. Think keane, tunnicliffe etc need a loan spell first at either a premier league or championship team. Has anyone seen gladstony play as he can join up with us next year (you tube does not count as bebe looked good on there) bookedredmole

Suarez is his name and football is his game. He jeered at a black man for his skin, a clear racist remark, a footballing sin.

Evra was quick, to complain, against a good footballer, of that a shame. 8 games the reward, by the FA board, for using such behaviour in our beautiful game.

8 games he watched, much to dismay, as he witnessed his team attrociously play. That shocking signing they made from newcastle, 35 million was way too much hassle.

70 million he gave, and he must have been brave, to bring in such useless 'talent'. From Hendo, to Carroll, to that winger downing, when together on the pitch, could be mistaken for drowning.

These players together, and Dalgleish too, make a club not worth supporting, but scousers have no clue. Figuratively speaking they're pressing the wrong pedal, which is why captain gerrard is lacking a prem medal.

The 8 games is over and what better greeting, a liverpool united lunchtime meeting. He'll tell all the staff that he'll do nothing but shake, to avoid such a conflict and his word they take.

The handshake arrives, and to everybodys suprise, he does something unusual which is very unwise. He misses out evra, and so rio reacts, no respect for teammate, means his handshake retracts.

This poor show of sportsmanship on suarez's part, set the tone for the game, right from the start. An almost red card within the first minute, didn't stop rooney from going on to win it.

The final whistle cued opportunity too good to waste, to give something back to suarez for himself to taste. Revenge is sweet and karma came around, to a man now perceived as a footballing clown.

Now the moral of the story, is there's no need to insult, those people a different colour, a pointless assault. So let's get together, once and for all, and kick so called 'racism' out of football.

I think hoilett at Blackburn would be a great addition to our squad. Everytime I have watched him this season he looks dangerous and with fergies work he could become better and the fact he is on a free makes it all that much more sense

watching barca vs zara game.. if SAF says he wants barca s model... then he has to give wholesale change to first team.. noticable thing was as soon as opposition take ball, all farwards ran hard and push so much by compact formation that they took ball back in no time.. and immidiatly all farwards..wingers..even central mids ran up hard so each player has 2 option shud he want to pass long and 3 options if he wants to make 1-2.. now thts real football.. campare to ours.. except rooney and valancia none from our forwards chase hard enough so can say "pressed". Mr. carrik ran so backwards like he forgets tht something called tackle excists. so other midfielders also. no exceptions here. they wait at halfline to distribute ball to wings every single time..no upward movement..so ultimatly..its rooney alone running madly in hole to distribute nd if chance came than shoot.. so simple tie down united wingers and there is no plan B( even players)..
sorry for long story..
but if we want that style?? where are the right players? i m not expecting pushing from 37 yr old giggs and scholes.. or ferdinand( look puyol instead). except our back 4 and rooney, valancia nd welback.. none will do.. even peoples fav cleverly...soorrrryyy to say this.. so if we want there style..we need such players also.. these are my thoughts. please share urs.. no need to offend any1.. i think eds wil get agree with me. current system is good for EPL but for Europe we need something extra. wholesale change to midfield in all way so some very hard working forwards also..i know it will not happen.

Not United related but Barca is unwatchable now, they get a pk in every game, Sanchez with an awful dive and gets a pk. Meanwhile, Barca never concede a pk and they do the same thing, a complete double standard. They have a fantastic team but when things get tough they resort to diving and practically cheating. The other teams in the Spanish league have no chance.

After different reports of us scouting players, I would like to hear people's opinions on who should be our marquee signing this summer in the CAM/wide attacker role. Here are the options:

Hazard - Price tag will be upwards of 30m. He has already acknowledged us as a club he'd like to play. Has unbelievable potential.

Muniain - Ripped us to shreds in both legs, apparently impressed us enough to have him scouted every game since. Price tag around 25-30m. Probably closest to Rooney in terms of position.

James Rodriguez - Has the best stats this season of all the players being mentioned. Offers the advantage of being left-footed. Publicly mentioned us as a club he'd like to join. Price tag around 25m.

Gaitan - Apparently the most watched of the lot. Has the Mendes connections so looks a likely signing.

Gotze - By far the best young player in the world, also the most expensive and the hardest to sign. Every club in Europe would queue up to get him should he become available.

Your opinions?

Line ups time people! What are we going for?

Tomorow i'm going for:

___________De Gea
Rafa___Evans___Ferdy___Evra
_______Scholes__Carrick
Valencia____Rooney____Young
___________Chicha

I also expect Pogba, Nani and Cleverly to come off of the bench and i think that Nani and Cleverly will play against Wigan.

For Wigan i would go for:

__________De Gea
Jones___Small___Evans___Evra
_______Clevs___Carrick
Valencia____Rooney____Nani
__________Welbeck

Pogba will hopefully play some part in this, and i would also like Petrucci to get on the bench.

Overall i think it is of vital importance tomorow to get a good win to pile even more pressure on City as i think that they are more than likely to crack!

Think utd fans need to slow down a little,I like many would love see that 4 world class players join, today with the rumours mean Utd spending 120m! Glazers aint got that! To me we need a proper quality right back rafa's not good enough defending&its the same pulling shirts, diving in¬ learning, a world class midfielder which we all know we need&a world class forward, we hav wazza but welbeck works hard but aint that finisher, chico suffers wen doesn't get that run this year

I have a couple of questions on Lucas Moura. I know about him and saw him play against Scotland, but thats just about as far as my knowledge on him goes. Firstly i'd like to know if people think he would fit, and secondly how much would he cost?

He looks a talented lad, so i assume he costs quite a lot. And also what is his best position? Wings or through the middle?

A lot of people including myself slate Ashley Young week after week about how he's not United quality, he's frustrating, etc.

But he seems to be the one who steps up for us when we need a goal, he's done it 2 or 3 times this season, he's constantly involved with our goals and he has been terrific so far this season.

so, if Young isn't United quality well then I don't know what is. the lad produces top quality performances every week. and I am very, very impressed even if I do use him as a scape goat.

Right, I'm turning the telly off! There is truly comedy gold on the LFC pages right now. It is honestly laugh out loud stuff..example re Suarez "He dives because he want's Liverpool to win, all hail Suarez".

So a lot of rumours recently have been linking us to left wingers. I for one would like to see one signed as I don't think young is world class or Utd quality. I would like to see either muniain or hazard. Both are versitile and can play cam as well but I am not sure which of them is better. Muniain has been hugely impressive for athletic in the Europa league and had two very good games vs shalke and ourselves. However I have heard rave reviews about hazard. So who would be better suited to Utd or who would be better. Nt quite sure myself. You don't even need to go to the effort of posting a reply for this lol
Hit disagree for muniain
Hit agree for hazard
For who you think will be the better player. I would love either one of them tbh
The red Manc {Ed004's Note - I am not quite sure who I would choose either. I am slightly favouring Hazard due to the reviews I have heard about him...}

Right transfers.

Obviously no keepers in and just Kzuzczak out.

I do see Clyne coming in, young, English, talented, cheap through compensation, provides cover and competition at RB and stops us playing CB's out of place.

Can't really see a CB coming in until Rio leaves, and i think we'll get another season out of him.

I would like to see a LB coming in and Evra departing, and i like how Cissokho's supposed to be saying how he wants to come, but it could just be his agent using our name so will wait and see.

I know everyone on here has one for Martinez and for a lesser extent Hazard, and yeah they are very good players but i really don't see us getting either of them never mind both. I don't see Martinez leaving Spain, or Muniain either for that matter. And Hazard comes out every week with another team that he'd like to play for. I doubt we'd comepte with the 2 big Spanish teams in terms of fee or wages, Hazard for me would be a repeat of the Benzema saga. Again i could be wrong as i think we need a Hazard but i just don't see us signing him.

Instead of us going for Martinez i would go for Strootman, similar sort of player, cheaper in both fee and wages, hasn't made any noises about Spain as far as i know, and could thrive here. I've looked at him since Shappy mentioned him awhile back. I'd also look at Witsel as well, but Strootman first choice. Add in Carrick, Cleverley, Anderson, Scholes, Giggs and hopefully Pogba and Fletcher and we should be ok.

Attacking midfielder wise, as said i think we wont get Hazard and instead i'd push for this James Rodriguez chappy, i've only seen a couple of games but he looks a lot better than Gaitan does, and his stats look pretty good too, he's another thats commented about coming to us and whilst wary of such comments it does sound promising, we have a decent relationship with Porto as well so coupld be a possibility.

I also agree with Red Man that we could do with a striker coming in. If anything happens to Rooney we would be screwed. Hernandez has suffered from second season syndrome a little this year so hopefully next year he can push on. Welbeck i do like but needs to score more and i would not want to rely on those 2 if we lost Rooney. Berbatov is going, Macheda might and Owen well who knows, he's started making noises about how he'd only go to a Prem club if he left. Keane i think will go on loan, so we do need a striker in. I agree with Red Man about not much point in signing another kid and loaning Keane out but i think we will try and pick up someone in the late teens to add to the squad. But i do think we need an experienced striker. With needing to bring in 2 midfielders and a left back i doubt we'd have the finances left to go for a really top class forward though.

So way i see it:

Outs: Kzuzczak, Berbatov, Macheda, Owen, maybe Evra.

Ins: Cissoko 12-15 million, Strootman 15 million, Rodriguez 20 million.

Thats a 50 million spend which is perfectly feasible based on what we did last summer. The outs could raise enough to go for a striker, i'm guessing somewhere between 15-20 million raised from sales, just not sure what strikers we could get for that sort of money, needs to someone good but who doesn't mind a spot on the bench. I'm sure people have names.

Mort.

Hey guys read this about UTD on a Liverpool forum..... I Just wanted all of us to take note Let's face it. Manchester United could very well be on the way to no. 20. They are on target to once again go above 90 points. No team has ever finished with that many points and not won the Premier League. There is every reason to believe that they will win it again. And they were supposed to be in decline. This was supposed to be the worst United team for years. Once again, however, it seems to get the better of any opposition, even the expensively assembled, star-studded squad of their city rivals. How do they do it? It is not as if they don't buy big players, but in recent years their additions to the first team have not exactly been renowned world beaters before they got there. While Chelsea have added players like Torres and Mata, and City have added Balotelli, Aguero, Tevez, and Silva, Manchester United have mostly relied on players already at the club while the biggest additions have been players like Ashley Young and Phil Jones - talented players but not on the same scale as those of their rivals. But there is a method to the United approach that few teams can match, and they have done a good job of sticking to it while adjusting along the way. Just take a look at their squad and how old the players were when they joined. Far from all of the players were products of the United youth program, but the number of first team players who were either products of that system or joined between the age 17 and 22 is quite noticeable: Scholes, Giggs, Rooney, Jones, Nani, Rafael, Fabio, Welbeck, De Gea, Smalling, Cleverley, Evans, Anderson, Hernandez, and of course the unfortunate, but in the past often influential, Fletcher. Only Berbatov (27), Young (25), Carrick (25), Evra (25), Owen (138) and Lindegaard (27) were over 24 when they joined United. So essentially, the United way is to get hold of talented players early, work them into the squad gradually, and add a few experienced players to solidify and build on that structure. Not everyone of the players who joined as youngsters have gone on to be influential, but the pattern is nevertheless clear. If there is a pattern, it is also seems to be that the average skill level of United players is quite high, and more than physical characteristics this is what characterizes the typical United player. They are capable of passing, moving and controlling the ball. While few United players may stand out as the top players in their positions, the sum of so many technically skilled players working in unison and with the talent of someone like Rooney to add the final touch seems to be more than enough. Looking back at it, though, I cannot help but wonder: Is the current United Way not very close to what the Liverpool Way used to be? At the moment, we are all deeply frustrated with our league form, and we wonder whether we will be able to attract the kind of players we will need to strengthen in the short term if we cannot do better in the most important competition we are in. And make no mistake, short term gain is important at this moment if we are to maintain our credibility. But when you look at United, it is also impressive how well the team is set up for the long term, and how the underlying structure supports the first team. Their success is, in many ways, well deserved. It is the result of a lot of good work over more than two decades - with a view to the long-term success of the club as well as to short-term gain. Who would have thought, a scouser that knows what he's talking about!

With the squad we have, i was not expecting a silverware (to be honest) this season. Now I'm very much perplexed at the place where Man United stands at the moment. In EPL, look where we are, we r at the top amongst Real and Barca in terms of points in the League. We've had the best season so far!
But looking back at the performances in the European, both in CL and EL, we were down and ousted with disgrace. Worst performance at European in recent times!

What could be the reason of double standards in United's performance?

Looking forward to the match tomorrow! Really think that we will overtake Man City in terms of goal difference and extend our lead further. I'm hoping that Nani comes back tomorrow and show us all why he deserves to be here next season. I think the one thing to make this season ending as good as it can be is if Pogba signs a new deal! Hopefully he will get another good few minutes of exposure, I think if he does continue to play he will stay as I'm sure SAF wouldn't play someone who was about to leave! If he is to stay then I think the crucial signing will be Martinez. Even if we just got him we could be satisfied.

Petrucci's performances are making me think if we will actually sign an AM. Its certainly the case that we won't just go in for anyone, and if the right target isn't available then I see him having an impact next season. Looking forward to seeing his, Pogba and Fryer's full promotion to the first team. Add to that Martinez, Clyne and maybe one or two others and we have a very talented and balanced squad!

I am not sure what the starting line-up will be on Sunday. With a game against Wigan on the Wednesday the manager will want to rotate a few players. I am not sure if he will rotate players for the QPR game or the Wigan game, but changes will be made. Cleverley/Pogba and Nani could start in one of the next two games. Smalling will replace Rio in one of the two games. I think Scholes and Valencia will be used carefully with three games in seven days. I think Rafael & Jones may share the RB position over the next week. It's a good time to have a almost fully fit squad, but who plays in what game is anyone's guess.

Hi im going to go through the team that we could have realistically in my opinion but obviously the funds available etc is always going to be guess work and people are always going to debate about whats there to spend and all that jibberish so.....

------------------------- DDG -------------------
Debuchy/Rafael-Vidic-Smalling/Ferdy/Jones-Cissokho
------Javi Martinez/Carrick----Cleverley------------
------Valencia--------Hazard-----Rodriguez/Muniain
---------------------Rooney-----------------------

Debuchy - 6m
Cissokho - 8m
Javi Martinez - 27m
Hazard - 22m
Rodriguez/Muniain - 20m
Total - 83m

Outs
Nani - 26m
Berbatov - 8m
Evra - 10m
Park - 4m
Anderson - 12m or maybe a part exchange with former club porto for rodriguez
Macheda - 3m
Bebe - 2m
Kuszczak - 1.5m
Total - 66.5m

in my opinion that is not out of our reach we spent 50m last year and didnt sell any major players to fund the moves so i dont see why 83m would be too far considering my outs and i dont see why we couldnt even go for more to be honest

Joe allen? reach for the stars. seriously? we should be making signings that the top clubs in europe know can be a major threat. when the likes of aguero, nasri, silva went to city i was worried because i knew they are top players that can challenge any team. if i woke up to find joe allen in man city's starting XI, i would double take.

what i am saying is we need to sign top players like hazzard to keep up with the likes of city, RM, barcelona. not....joe allen.
