Loving the new England training shirt . Why the hell is that not the World Cup shirt. They must of asked the 10000 Leeds fans who voted for their new badge . 😆😆.

Another interesting article as the last sentence sums it well.
Would be nice to have one on our team.
Thanks Ed.

I’m sure we could manage one between us 666; some talented writers on her, though I especially admire Shappy’s flowing prose!

Danny Lancs is always very clear and writes well. Enjoy both his and shaps posts.

{Ed001's Note - almost every Shappy post could be a stand alone article!}

Agree Ed and Wallace.
Shappy or Danny if you reading, care to have a good unbiased article? Show people how it should be written! 😉 Thanks folks.

I'd have a bash at it. Although I'm supposed to be writing up several chemistry reports, as well as a biology and a psychology assignments. So maybe at the end of the season, although I have just sent in a rather large post. lol.

{Ed033's Note - It's large enough to be an article, thanks.

Interesting post and agree with the opening about similarities to Carrick as the most underrated player in PL. May not agree with everything in the write up but he has already said he is a Henderson supporter so fair to that. Good effort by the writer.

I don’t see it, he may be underrated but that doesn’t mean he is any good. He has the odd good game but he’s run of the mill for me, would not get near any of the other top teams.

Few better passers than henderson in europe, i would really like whatever you are having mkscouser, seems like strong stuff.

I do enjoy reading all of the other teams pages from time to time so I'm well versed in reading mk scousers posts. He has a fantastic way of spinning a topic to fit his agenda. If you were to just read his posts and have no knowledge of the football world, you'd expect liverpool to be on a decade long unbeaten run beating all and sundry using only players from their amazing academy.

And this post is exactly that. The main reason for Liverpools Jekyll and Hyde performances over the last few years are down to a piss poor defence and a midfield that gets walked through at will. A lot of the time Henderson has been a part of that flakey midfield. He's an above average footballer with a good engine. This is something that has blighted English players through the decades. The emphasis on the physical over the technical. The famous Harry Redknapp team talk of "JUST RUN AROUND A BIT". He's technically average. His "engine" is his defining quality and that's not necessarily a good thing.

This isn't a post to knock you mk scouser. In fact, I find your detailed posts very well written and enjoyable. It's just your biased shines through too much when commenting on Liverpool.

Keep up the good work mate!

Something different for everyone. If Fergie was in charge of this squad where would we finish in the league. And what formation and team do you think he would play?

I think he would have gone towards a 451 in the big games and 442 in games against the smaller teams. I think rashford would be up top with Lukaku and martial and Sanchez on the wings with pogba and matic in midfield. Back 4 of bailly Jones Valencia and shaw. In the big games we would see rashford drop out and Herrera come in as a fletcher/ park type of player.

I think Fergie would get a lot more out of this team offensively but I think we would leak a fair few more goals. I would think it would be a case of you score 3 we will score 4. This squad is far superior in terms of quality than his final title winning season and I think we would be no more than 3-5 points behind city. We would push them very close and I would imagine we would be starting to hit top form in March as we always finished strongly under Fergie. Just a bit of fun and would be great to hear everyone’s thoughts.

Good post, i'm stuck for time so il answer the initial question

I think position wise fergie would finish second. Citys seaon is on course to beat all records for point and goals scored in one season.

Can’t argue with that EZRS. But heck it is like have been exciting under Fergie.

Becoming a big fan of your daily reviews.
Interesting read about Rooney wanting to go into management. Would be interesting to hear from him how he would deal with players like himself when they hold the club ransom like he did and also players who abused their body and dwindled in pace and like him. These would be the things he’d have to deal with when he becomes a manager. 🤣🤣
Thanks Ed for the comprehensive review. 🙏.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - that was pretty much my thoughts about Rooney as well. I was wondering how he would cope with that, whether having gone through it would help him or hinder him in the situation. Most of all though, I just thought wouldn't he be a bit thick for management?

You are very welcome mate.}

07 Feb 2018 10:41:51
Yeah. He was a pretty good player for us and created some record/ history. However I seriously doubt he will be a great manager. Good player doesn’t equate to good manager. I know some posters will strongly disagree with me but hey no problem because it will be some time away.

I was shocked when I heard he wanted to go into management. Might be harsh but he doesn’t seem the sharpest tool in the shed or someone who can be calm and composed. He has mellowed over the years and that comes with age and experience I suppose. Someone like mata or Herrera strike me as someone who would go into management. Either was great review ed really enjoyed it.

{Ed001's Note - thank you Park, glad you enjoyed it.}

I think Mata's too smart to go into management.

I wouldn't want to pile on the criticism here, but have to say that Rooney does not strike me as being quite smart enough, nor, more importantly, verbally able enough, to be a good manager. It was said, after all, after the publication of his autobiography, that he was the first person ever to have written a book before reading one.

Then of course there was that tongue in cheek dig at his presumed lack of intelligence during his regular appearance on the Special 1 TV puppet show, with a little segment called Wayne's Word. For some reason Wayne's explication of the word "catenaccio" strikes a lasting cord.

Also, thank you to all the fans from other clubs and including our fierce competitors, Liverpool, who have posted their respects on our site.
