"I feel for the fans and also the board because they have belief in me, my staff, and my players. 13 points from 10 matches, you are not doing well, but we are in a process. " lvg
At least he being honest.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

He also needs to be honest about his "Philosophy" which does'nt seem to be working to well at the moment, hopefully he can turn it around though.

Agree3 Disagree1

Yes at least he isn't trying to dress it up as part of the plan.

I'm pretty sure if we finish below 4th his 3 year plan will be irrelevant. Hopefully there is much more emphasis on the next 3 months in that plan.

Agree2 Disagree0

My guess is that an LvG plan involves the aim of being Champions of Europe, I doubt he would aim low. I would hazard a guess he will also be looking to get the best 16 year olds in key positions for the future and their development will need 3 years as well. Don't forget his age and contract is 3 years at which point, if not sooner, he will be looking to hand over the reign. If he said next season then it would place massive expectation on the players so he says 3 years.
He wasn't my choice but I do feel that chronic under investment by SAF in his later years, a club run in an old fashioned way, a transition that was shockingly badly handled and the problems caused by the last incumbent will take time to turn round. I think whoever was put in charge after last season would need time to sort things out.

Agree2 Disagree3

I think who ever took charge after fergy would need time.
Massive change for the club

A quick question for eds, do you think we need to finish in the top 4 to keep on to David de gea, Real Madrid will be looking for a top keeper, I really hope we don't loose him

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I don't think it will be of consequence.}

Top 3 i believe but need to win a bunch from here.

United linked with Berahino today and a recall of Nani due to good form.

Believable0 Unbelievable5

Please God not Nani, on that basis we will resign Bebe.

Agree3 Disagree0

I think berahino is going to be a really good player, he had something about him last season and this season he has been excellent, the goal against united spoke volumes about him.
Got a bit of ian wright about him

Jred

Agree, i watched the England u21 game and him and shaw were the best out of the bunch and the spurs guy kane to too far off as being the best out of the lot.

All the CB's have been suggested but would it be stupid to buy back Vidic.
He knew Manchester well and has an injury record better than all our CBs and could give us a year or so.
He seems tobe struggling at Inter and I would fancy him back.

Believable0 Unbelievable10

He's struggling at Inter for a reason, his best days are gone.
Not an option for me.

Agree9 Disagree0

We need to look for the new vidic

Agree4 Disagree0

Perhaps Brucey fancies pulling his shirt on again

Agree2 Disagree0

Bring back Wes Browne aswell sure and Rio

Agree2 Disagree0

Why not an option?
Do you by any chance think we wouls get Hummels or Anyone of that quality for any matter?
We brought back Scholes from retirement and he was exceptionally brilliant for us the last 6 months he played.
We almost won the title that season. Only goal difference cost us.

Interesting to hear that we may have inquired about ending Nani's loan in January due to his good form. If he was in good form for us then having him on the right and Di Maria on the left would be a well balanced attack, Nani is far better on the right that he is on the left.

The question is though, would he get back into his usual ways upon returning or has playing for Sporting given him a new passion for the game that he could continue here? There is no doubting his ability and there is no doubting that he is better than Young and Valencia combined - but would be regress into what he has been for the last year or two, or would he have the kind of impact that he had 4 years ago.

I think not believing goal.com would be the way to go on this one Fresh.

Agree9 Disagree0

I am insure if he would perform at the level fur us he currently is.however, we are paying his wages and there was no loan fee so what have we to lose. Switch to 433, utilise Dimarea, Januzai, Nani as the attack wingers with either Falcao or van.persie up front.
I think this would be good team for us and allow the January pennies to be spent defensively.

Agree0 Disagree0

It would give us an option that is more effective than a Young or a Valencia.

Because he was so effective over the last two years we loaned him out

a bit of Owen Hargreave magic (recent)

i wonder what impact he would have had for us if he stayed injury free.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

A huge one!

He was a great player and had a good season for us. It was such a shame how it ended for him.

Fresh

I have been doing a bit of studying on players from all over the world. Your comment on my last post was spot on I must say. I watched players from the west vs players from eastern Countries, Its true the Eastern players like Kompany and Vidic we're all Solid compared to others like Rojo etc who fall over when tipped like a bullet has hit them.

The same happens with Midfielders and forwards also. So yes we need some Hard Eastern Players to lead us

Would hardly call Belgium eastern.

Has Belgium moved?

I think you are stereotyping a little bit to be honest, just because there is a couple of good defenders from European countries doesn't mean that all of them are the same. Rojo doesn't look like someone who would fall over to me, he has looked pretty strong every time I have seen him. How about the 'western' players that are hard as nails? I am sure Roberto Carlos and Cafu would love you running at them thinking they will fall over.

Did you know all the French players smell like garlic and all the English players all have fish and chips after each game?

Agree6 Disagree0

Some of the hardest centre halves are from Eastern Europe though whatever you say. The League's are known for being brutishly physical.

Agree0 Disagree1

Italians, Argentines, Uruguayans - some of the dirtiest and hardest footballers on the planet have hailed from those countries (amongst others). I just think it's all of a muchness. I think it's more to do with finances in well off footballing countries pampering young kids now, the next round of British & Spanish kids will be even softer in the main.

Countries where being a man and scrapping to succeed is vital if you are going to do well will inevitable bring a harder mentality, but so few people the world over make it in elite football the pool is too small to make judgements.

There are always exceptions of course.
