I have to say I would prefer Downing on the right, Walcott is a terrible player. It would be nice to see Danny boy get a run out ahead of Walcott in the 2nd half. Jones, Young & Rooney all have a great game so far.

You have got to love Blair Mayne, he said the only reason Smalling was playing at RB was because Martin Kelly was injured. Well Martin Kelly isn't injured now and Phil Jones is playing ahead of him. So where does that leave Kelly in the food chain? About 5th in line? Makeshift RB's Smalling & Jones are ahead of Martin Kelly.

The Express & Star says Albion will look at making a move for Manchester United’s Gibson when the transfer window opens in January.
Gibson came close to joining Sunderland during the summer and remains up for sale at United.

Morning chaps,
All this talk of a direct replacement for Paul Scholes needs a rethink. Fergie has on numerious occasions stated that a 'direct' replacement for Scholes is near impossible.
I don't think you can expect Utd to be looking for one player to run a game in midfield the way Scholesy could and should look more to the fact that Fergie is looking for a midfield combination that can have the same impact between them.
How many times have you heard that Sniejder is the creative force and replacement that we're looking for? Although in reality Scholes ralely played a higher midfield role supporting the front men in his later years. Times are changing and as is the United side.
It's there for all to see that Rooney is the man that will be 'creative' force up top and Hernandez leading the line, supported by the wide men. Fergie is looking for a more deeper lying midfielder that can dictate the tempo of the game with good passing skills and is of a higher class than Carrick with more energy and movement around the field.
