Not football related but spare a thought today for Lokomotiv Yaroslav, a Russian Ice Hockey team who finished 3rd in last seasons Russian Championship. Their jet crashed shortly after take off today apparantly killing 44 people, there was one survivor who is in critical condition. The team were on their way to their first fixture of the new season. I would hope that this gets as much mention as if it were one of footballs biggest clubs.

Below are the two replies I left you, now you can try and pick faults with these statements and cut & paste certain parts to try and discredit what I have written, but I think they are fair assessments.

1) Wilshere is a year older than Ravel. Both are extremely talented, but completely different players. Wilshere is ahead of Morrison in development because he is older and because he has had the much needed PL experience after being rushed into the Arsenal team early, due to injuries to key midfielders. This basically fast-tracked his development. Morrison has also been slowed down by his off the field antics. Because Wilshere has already proved himself at senior level, he is ahead of Morrison, but if you compare Wilshere to Morrison when they were both in their final academy year, Morrison is a far more exciting prospect. If Morrison can overcome his problems and make the step up to senior level, then he could be talked about much more than Wilshere because he scores goals, lots of them. The one thing they do have in common is that they both seem to glide past players effortlessly.

2) Rooney at academy level was a different player to Morrison at academy level. It's hard to judge. But if you are judging by potential alone (At academy level) then you would have given Rooney a 9/10, Wilshere & Morrison would be at 8/10. I would put Pogba at 9/10.

Potential is one thing, but it's about stepping up to senior level and Wilshere & Rooney have done this, whereas Morrison & Pogba are still developing.

Oh dear.

There are a few bitter persons trying to console themselves with the reality that Wesley Sneijder didn't actually become the cherry on the MUFC summer fruit cake. I understand that it's human nature to convince yourselves that he wasn't the man for your club, but in all honesty, after reading the comments all summer long about the man, it's plain to see that it just hurts you.

I will revel in this cheap budget irony for 10 minutes at the 90% discount attitude on this page. Thanks for the read.

dear mr scott78
well, ngiak has to assume you are from a rival club
and you must really be consoling yourself with this statement
ngiak was so very happy that sneijder was NOT bought
ngiak has never seen such a young man united team play with so much swagger even during the fergie's fledglings era of beckham scholes etc
ngiak is enjoying his soccer now more than ever, something he never dreamt of experiencing
yes, there will be slip ups and injuries etc
but ngiak loves this new young team
ngiak will back them 100% and will back sir alex 100% (especially after sir alex sold people like oshea brown, and tried to get rid of gibson)
this team will get even better, and more super talented youngsters to grow into the squad
doesnt that just make you drool?
ooops you support some other team.
ngiak's condolences

How can Downing get in the England team, he's crap db7. Just goes to show what arrogant little worms you are. By puttin 2 goals on a plate for your 2 Utd players that made the side. Smalling was embarrising, might get away with right back in the Prem but gave cheap fouls away as well as the ball, and if Downing hadn't have given him a helping hand he would've looked more of a novice. At least i'll admit he's a quality centre half being a Liverpool fan, doesn't bother me to say this but he needs playing their because he's getting found out against Wales, and its alright going forward when your playing well, but he'll be tested and before he is, you wanna get him back in the centre asap. Their was only one weak link in the centre of the park last night and that was Lampard, but dont worry, Gerrard will be back for the next game so all will be rosy again with Englands performance. {Ed007's Note - Guys, can I draw your attention to a charity that has been set up in memory of the late Tommy Burns (ex CFC player, manager and coach) who died in 2008.. It's aim is to build a cancer research lab that will carry his name. The location of it is in a cancer hospital called Beatsons in Glasgow, where all the staff helped my family, and my own father throughout his illness with all their great work. All you have to do is text TOMMY to 70099 to donate £1. All help is greatly appreciated.

wilshere is 9 month older which is f$%CK all as for being rushed into the arsenal team cos off injuries i would argue he got his chance for arsenal and england because he was good enough.
you cant compare the two of them, one is an england international and other plays for the reserves.
you have made big statements about pogba , morrison and AS A UNITED FAN i understand why, but ask yourself this why are they not in the starting 11 if we bought wilshire who is more or less the same age would he be playing for the reserves or the first 11.
pogba and morrison have massive potential but at the moment that is all it is rooney wilshere M owen and gotze in my opinion were all better players at the same age and that is why they were all playing for the first team and international teams
owen took the world cup by storm rooney the euro cup.
everybody is entilted to there own opinion and thats what makes the site and football great statements like " you should know this being a United fan" p£ss me off to be honest

Fergie has now said 'Sneijder is not the ideal replacement for Scholes' he went onto say 'Only Xavi and Iniesta are comparable to Scholes'. Fergie has long admired the two midfielders and it is very unlikely they one of them will join untied, but a bid may be in place.

People that snipe at others and ridicule people and then dont sign of are absolute ducks, ed i know it would never happen and is to much to ask but just out of curiosity is it possible to make it mandatory for people to have to sign off?

how many of you see ferdinand moving next summer?

i know he has been our talisman player for long time but with constant injuries and the likes of smalling, evans, jones stepping it up, i don't see his impact anymore..
i really dont like his attitude of slowing the game down..he is very good at defending, but at times of connecting the def with the mid, he's slow..takes too much time on the ball

Inspired by all of this manager talk I'd like to ask you all a question.

Earlier there seemed to be some split opinions about Paul Lambert. Whilst half of my family are Utd fans, the other half support Norwich. Listening to their opinions about him has made me think he would suit the Utd job. Not now but maybe when he has had some more PL experience. What do you lot think about him?

Believable - if you could see him in the job
Unbelievable - if you can't

and i'd love you written opinions also.
