Just thinking about city, united games.
I remember the game away to city 93,94.
Down 2-0 at half time then cantons steps up for the equaliser not sure who got the first one think it was cantons again. I could be wrong, I remember the winner like it was yesterday, Roy Keane coming in at the back post, a beauty.

Great that winner wasn’t it, some united teams we’ve had.

09 Dec 2017 22:26:01
Keane got the winner coming in at back post from a Dennis Irwin cross, cantona got the other two leahy you are correct.

I was in the United section of the Kippax that day. We had lost to Galatasaray and the City fans threw Turkish Delight chocolate bars at us. At half time we were 2-0 down but thought we were good enough to get back into it.

I remember the second half very well and when Keane scored we went ballistic. People who knew the streets around Maine Road will understand that after the game you had to be very careful, I didn’t dare smile until I got back in the car. Great day.

The one where Keith Curle said to Giggs "go on then hit it" so giggs did.

Red man great game to be at,
Giggs came off the bench that day and set up cantona for the equaliser.

I was at the giggs one, in an executive box. Had to run inside the box to hide my utter delight! Lots of angry city fans just upfront of the boxes. My favourite giggs goal, even more that the FA cup goal. Loved it!

Big Sam will set up to frustrate, full backs sitting in and back, if they can frustrate them and get a set play maybe something in it but I just can’t see anything other than a Liverpool win.

09 Dec 2017 22:29:35
United 2-1 City
Liverpool 3-0 Everton.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed0333's Note - I have my fingers and toes crossed hoping your prediction is spot on mate. Never wanted Man Utd to win a game so much in my life.

4-3 to us - classic.
Scousers to draw.

09 Dec 2017 22:38:30
Really ed? Wow never heard a liverpool fan say that b4.

Not arguing tho 🙂.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed0333's Note - Don’t get me wrong I will your mob to lose every other game but the quicker City start losing the easier it us for us to win the title.

10 Dec 2017 00:19:19
Both matches to end with draws.
2 all with us and city and Scousers at 1 all.

10 Dec 2017 12:02:33
Jeez triple A. Last couple of weeks you are saying they will wallop us. A couple of days ago you say no Beyer times to play them and you can see us winning. Today you predict a draw. It's almost as if your setting up an, ' i told you so' no matter what the result. 😂.

Not sure if you’re joking ed0333 but Liverpool have no chance of winning the league this season in my opinion, Your defence just isn’t good enough.

A quick question, jose wants united to sign a 'magician' in january, and i remember fergie always pulled a rabbit out of the hat with players, so i was thinking of a player who is quick of feet and thought, young and hungry, and thinks outside the box, why not try and sign richarlison from watford, play either as a striker or number 10,even on the wing cutting in, maybe cost between 30-40 million, but would be the type of player with skill, tricks and heart, someone to excite the faithful, and still very young,
what do ya reckon?

Already got martial and rashford.

09 Dec 2017 15:11:38
He’s got a lot of potential classof82 and has settled brilliantly as a lot of Brazilians have struggled in the league. He has great potential but I feel he is perhaps a couple of years away from a move to a big team. Would like to see him do it consistently at Watford for 2-3 more years and then make a move. Would much rather we went for proven world class quality as that is what we are lacking at the moment.

Then again do we really need Pogba to be in the team to win? 🤣.

Haha I remember Chelsea got a game moved for "snow around the stadium" because they had injury worries. Very smart move I did have a giggle about it at the time. I do believe it paid off for them as players come back from injury in the rescheduled game and they won.

I think it's a good time to play City. We're in good form and they've been a bit dodgy recently. Hope we play them, attack them, get in their ugly faces, and beat them.

Eds as usual great insight.
Generally I agree with most of the previews but feel there may be a small little surprise in the Chelsea game.
Thanks for the great previews Eds.

{Ed001's Note - thank you.}

09 Dec 2017 14:23:28
Well well well was expecting a small surprise but why a big surprise! Chelsea lost to West Ham. All we need to do is beat City and it gets interesting 🤣
Reid played well but Cresswell was awesome. Of course Noble played well too 👏👏.

Thanks DB.
It’s no more a given going to these “lower PL half” teams anymore. We learnt our lessons last few seasons. Complacency is an invitation to getting caught. They are fighting for a lifeline and a cornered rat bites back too.
Just glad it’s not us and it’s others. Better since it’s Conte 🤣🤣.

Mourinho r. e. - I don't like this about city, A little bit of wind and they fall.

I've always felt that watching Pep's teams. They act like they have a divine right to keep possession, when they lose the ball they go down very easily. I suppose it could just be that I watch them boring everyone to death and wish for someone to just jump in scholes stylee and get amongst them 😂.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Dec 2017 04:00:31
City many be a lot of things, Dodgy, but I don't think boring is one of them, mate.

Agree5 Disagree6

09 Dec 2017 12:36:45
Barcelona players used to go down very easily and I think guadiola has told his players to do the same. Problem is they do it in a clever way and refs fall for it.
Other problem is we have Michael Oliver in charge and he's probably the worse choice for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Dec 2017 13:30:31
Barca were very boring. Used to nod off watching them.

Agree1 Disagree0

09 Dec 2017 20:46:52
I get bored by them at times Nou, in the same way that Steve Davis was boring in the 80's. The monotonous inevitability that they will score a goal in the end. Just lulling the opposition to sleep, backwards and sideways and backwards and sideways. to me it's almost anti football at times.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Dec 2017 00:18:10
Anti-football is what we suffered under LVG, Dodgy. I know what you mean, but I'd watch City if they were on the tv this season. Never did that before. I'm a football fan as well, and, last few games apart, some of their stuff this season has been great to watch.
