An administrative error on the part of Manchester United has left new signing Andreas Pereira unable to play competitive football until next season, documents from United detailing Pereira's housing and host family failed to be lodged in time to FIFA.
anybody know if this is true
jred {Ed001's Note - seems to be true, these things happen, he can still train and play in friendlies.}

So, it's only consistency that stops Rooney from being up there with the soccer greats? I don't think Rooney even got 3rd after Messi & Ronaldo. Also, of the 400 or so captains, coaches & media that get to pick the Ballon D'Or,how many picked Rooney as a first choice I hear you ask? One! That's it! The Pakistan coach. I think there's more than a bit of consistency missing in Rooneys game. There's no comparison & Ronaldo showed that when he was at Man Utd & he only came second! Wise up Sydney & Co.

Hearing whispers that Nani, Jones & Smalling all missed training. Badly needed Smalling to return. So if they are out, what team should we play?

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
Talk about red tinted glasses. Now am a United fan and i can be abit biased at times, but you guys definately take the cake.
Did someone suggest messi would be average without xavi and iniesta? Have you ever seen messi play? do you know the number of goals of individual brilliance(no xavi or iniesta) messi scores every season?. messi IS undoubtedly the best player in the world at the moment with or without xavi or iniesta. Plus, he is improving, have you seen his assist rate?
You say messi doesn't do as much for his team, but messi has scored so many winning goals for barca while they are playing like crap. When united are not playing well, rooney doesn't either.
Ronaldo and messi may not track back and defend as much as rooney, but that's because they don't need to, they have defenders who actually defend. tracking back only make rooney less effective at attacking. He should be focusing on scoring goals not playing as a centre back or left back.
Anyways, like i said earlier, in the BEST case scenario( i.e rooney didnt get injured in 2010 and lose a yard of pace, he continued to play as an out and out foward and had better players around him) he would still be third behind messi and ronaldo.
lol.....am still laughing, you guys should be comedians.

Rooney passes the ball better, has better vision, defend, attacks and scores important goals (city last season). To suggest he's miles off them is ridiculous, if he were consistently on top form, I have no doubt in my mind that he would be the best player in the world. There's more to being a good footballer than merely beating players and scoring goals. He is the most complete player in the world, but because of his consistency, not the best.

ATTENTION UTD FANS,
this is the voice of reason calling , dont be too disappointed this weekend when you drop points against lpool. you are coming up against the best defence in the premership. i dont think we will have too many problems playing you , as i think kk has fergies number now , i mean old man scholes is still descent , but we will just let him do his usual -pass the ball 5 yards , run back 5 yards to receive thed ball , repeat , repeat etc around the centre circle .
also rooney seems to be playing in the comford-zone , he just does not chase and close down the ball anymore , also he goes down very easy for every free-kick he can get , by the way is it just me or does his new hairline seem to be receding more and more every week.
i wonder will you be playing your good goalkeeper , or will david - bambi- de gea be in goal , i do hope so lol. no i cannot see where you can supprise us , maybe something totally outrageus - like mike carrick running into our half , or dan welback controlling a first time ball . also what about evra , is he suffering some sort of defending-deficit - disorder on his defending duties , or is he just past it , anyway you have done well to stay with city this season , but against a ever-improving lpool team under the master kk , we will take a point off you if not 3 , a very reasonable accessment i think , toodle-pip..............lfc

Tom Cleverley, as everyone should know is fit again. Should feature against Liverpool. Whether he'll start is another question. Anyhow just thought i'd give it a mention because he's surely going to become one of our key players in the near future!

I am clearly an American but I did want to offer my input into the England Manager.

First of all I believe that England, the US, or any other country in the world should allow someone to manage their team that isnt from their country.

In fact, I think it should be the rule. Capello, Klingsman etc.. really have no connection with the team they are managing why? Because it is not THEIR country.

That beinng said, I think the guy England should look at is Ray Wilkins...I believe he is extremely intelligent and would get the most out of his players.

Lads and lasses, the United reserve game today is behind closed doors, but it's live on MUTV at 1pm. I think we will see Cleverley & Fabio get a run out. Will be nice to see Cleverley line up next to Pogba in midfield.

Real Madrid remain top of the money league with revenues in 2010/11 of 479 million euros (£438m) with Barcelona second on 451m euros (£398m) and Manchester United third on 367m euros (#349m).

The report states: "We are starting to see widening gaps between clubs at the top of the Money League.

"Manchester United's consistent on-pitch success has helped establish it as a continued fixture in the top three of the Money League, yet in recent years a gap has grown between themselves and the Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona, rising again to 83.7m euro in this year's edition.

"United's failure to qualify for the 2011/12 Champions League knockout phase will have a detrimental effect on revenues relative to the top two, which may result in this gap increasing to over 100m euro.

"In addition, there is a 70m euro gap between fourth-placed Bayern Munich and fifth-placed Arsenal.''

I dont want transfer records just quality, like dwight yorke not popular but proven, fed up of every player under 21 playing for everton or crystal palace who have done absolutely nothing in the premier league but people think we should buy them for millions . What's wrong with the kids we already own ? Why do we need to buy unproven kids when we have loads of talent on our books
