Hi Ed002, I was wondering if you'd any time for a list of players and positions MU are interested in this summer? Unless a Sharkopod is in the works? Much appreciated.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - RB, CB, CM, CM/AM, RW/F needed plus possibly a GK

Ahmadou Dia (G) one for the future - there has been a meeting this week (Monday) but nothing came of it

Aaron Wan-Bissaka (RB) MU are interested
Davide Calabria (RB) - has been watched by Manchester United, Lille, Everton and Samporia
Thomas Meunier (RB) has been watched

Kostas Manolas (CB) - expect his name to get some publicity soon but persuading him to leave Rome and move to the wastelands of northern England may not be easy
Nikola Milenkovic (CB) a very good option
William Saliba (CB) - one for the future, but I would not be surprised to see MU look to an offer this summer - but I suspect it will go nowhere given the interest of others
Raphael Varane (CB) prior interest of Mr Mourinho could very well return but a discussion has already been held with another side - plus Madrid will try and tempt him to stay, although he wants out - I suspect he could easily be priced out of a move by RM looking to block the transfer
Kalidou Koulibaly (CB) ironically a Mourinho favourite and very, very expensive, so unlikely right now
Toby Alderweireld (CB) would be no more than a short-term solution and Spurs want him to stay and sign a new deal as they will already be losing one CB
Harry Maguire (CB) Leicester want him to stay but MU could return with a good offer - and he has the advantage of being home grown
Milan Skriniar (CB) Financial demands of Inter are excessive (well over €100M) and will fend off interest with a new contract
Ruban Dias (CB) - heading elsewhere

Declan Rice (DM) has been watched, but no declared interest

Ivan Rakitic (CM) some discussions with another side have resulted in a tentative agreement for him to move elsewere - but only if Barcelona make him available which will only happen if they can secure the replacement they want
Rodrigo Hernandez (CM) I suspect he will go to Manchester City instead of Saul who they consider too expensive
Saul Niguez (CM) - If Pogba is to be replaced, a potentially expensive option that Manchester City have stepped back from

Bruno Fernandes (AM) has been of interest to Everton, Manchester United, Milan and Liverpool who have all looked at him on two or more occasions. Spurs maintain an interest but only if Christian Eriksen leaves. I am not aware of any interest at all from Inter. Asking price has more than doubled from what was already a high price in recent months and that has pushed aside interest from Juventus who don't see the value, Valencia and CSKA - and like priced him out of a move to all but a couple of the interested sides. Whilst Bayern Munich and another EPL side have looked as well, neither have a declared interest that I know of and both have other AM targets. Manchester United remain very keen and Milan have a creative solution in mind and it is certainly not out of the question that he will move to one of those sides this summer.
Joao Felix (AM) interest may have left with Mourinho and very expensive - in talks for a move elsewhere
Luciano Acosta (AM) has been watched by PSG, Manchester United, Genoa, and Newcastle but Fenerbahce have made an enquiry. A WP would be unlikely for England.

Jadon Sancho (RW) BD have no interest in selling
Samuel Kalu (RW) has been watched by MU but would be no more than cover
Douglas Costa (RW) price may well be an issue as asking price is €80M
Wilfried Zaha (RW) another option

Steven Bergwijn (LW/RW/F) has been watched by MU but discussions are in hand for a move elsewhere
Hirving Lozano (LW) a Sanchez replacement - else it is hard to see him getting any game time

Outbound:

David De Gea (G) wants out - but the club may block it
Antonio Valencia (RB)
Matteo Darmian (RB/LB)
Marcos Rojo (LB/CB) not wanted
Ander Herrera (CM) wants more game time but club wants him to stay - will likely go to PSG
Paul Pogba (CM) wants out - but the club may block it
Juan Mata (RM/RW)
Alexis Sanchez (LW/F) there is no clear route to end the relationship

Based on the info ed has provided, I would be happy with the following happening:

IN:

Wan-Bissaka
Milenkovic
Koulibaly (unlikely we'll get to CB's it seems)
Fernandes
Saul
Zaha

OUT:

Valencia
Darmian
Rojo
Herrera
Pogba
Mata
Sanchez

Only issue I have is I can't see all those players leaving, some will find a way to stick around another year. Also can't see us get any of our first choices.

It's also crazy how Douglas Costa could cost up to 80m. he isn't that good surely? I'd rather Zaha who is prem proven and much younger.

weggy agree with most of your ins as probable but koulibaly is pricey as per ed002 so think if anything, a 25m punt on toby for a few seasons may be possible. don't know much on Milenkovic, but a name not listed by the ed is the cb Andersson ; cheaper alternative?

As for the outs totally happy with your list as it is very close to ed002 with pogba a possible and sanchez a tough one to shift. Would add to the list DDG, not as a gut reaction to last nite alone but its apparent that he wants to go. Get the most we can and march on: after all not much point in keeping someone who is as unhappy as he seems. His reactions, reflex saves and saves with his feet are impeccable but I really think his commanding of the box at set pieces and distribution is [poor. don't have any idea who could replace him but we have romero and henderson.

City fan here

Gutted about Saul. Honestly thought he is heading to City but then absolutely thrilled about Rodrigo. In Spain they call him the next Busquets.

Thanks for the info Ed02.

Having read the player profile on Nikola milenkovic I'd be quite excited to see him arrive sounds like he could be well suited to the epl.

Just another name: wasnt so long ago you were a liverpool fan. not at all sorry to see you go. I hope changing the team you support 3/ 4 of the way through a season so you can 'celebrate' silverware helps you sleep better at night.

Very interesting thanks for the info Ed.

Must admit I know little or nothing of many of those which, considering our recent transfer record, might actually be a good thing! I just want a new wave of hungry, up and coming players in our team.

Sell anyone who has doubts about staying and taking on the huge challenge of turning us into contenders. Or those that want to stay but are total rubbish.

Hi Ed, I was a little surprised to not see Bailly on the outbound list, would you expect him to stay?

{Ed002's Note - There has been no effort to sell.}

Thanks Ed, it's going to be interesting to see how he fits in next season, especially if another CD comes in and with Tuanzebe back in from loan.

Ed002,

You mentioned on the European pages that there was interest in Nabil Fekir; is that still the case? Thanks.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - No, there has never been interest from Manchester United.}
