United will only sack Mourinho when a top 4 finish is unassailable.

Woodward always reverts to type and it will be a commercial decision. No Champions League football has a profound affect across all sponsorship deals and Mourinho’s pay off will become a drop in the ocean.

The media are reporting a Mourinho or Pogba scenario. Personally I would take Pogba all day long. He has proven with Juventus and France that we is a world class midfielder in the right system. I think Pogba has to play in a 3 man central midfield. This limits you to 3 attackers which is a difficult balance to strike between Lukaku, Sanchez, Mata, Rashford, Martial, Lingard etc.

Massively worrying that we have spent all this money under Mourinho and still seem to be 7 signings away from catching up with Liverpool and City.

How do we move on Lukaku and Sanchez (who imo are not good enough) without losing millions of pounds?

Would love to see Van Der Saar installed as DOF with either Howe, Pochettino or Zidane working under him.

Howe: great football, largely homegrown squad - would be a punt but could be a long tenure if back room staff are smart appointments.

Pochettino: might like the draw of a hefty transfer kitty. Plays good football and promotes youth.

Zidane: could he bring Varane and Isco with him? Maybe I’m dreaming.

Anyone would be better than Mourinho.

The squad, generally, isn’t half as bad as our results.

De Gea is a world class keeper, Shaw a solid left back and Bailly is a sting centre half. Fred is a well regarded midfielder, Pogba a World Cup winner and Martial a superb talent. Rashford is one of the most promising players in England and Lukaku is a 20+ goals striker. Sanchez is still a leading European player and would look a world beater elsewhere.

The problem is he hasn’t found the right system and has antagonised everyone at some point. He ‘trusts’ Matic and Fellaini - to do what though? Lose?

Stan Collymore wrote a very good article stating that we couldn’t play like Klopp, Pep or Poch’s teams. We have the personnel to do it but we don’t have a manager to implement it.

The facts are lads. We sacked Moyes for playing poor football and poor results.
We got van gaal who installed the playing style of sidewards and backwards.
Bought some good talent we thought.
Falco flopped . Di Maria was a signing of convienance . And on and on.
Jose has a worse record of the two combined and yet he is still in the job.
Woodward and the Glaziers are a bunch of soulless pathetic cowards who would not know what a football is, if one hit them in the knackers.
Club is a joke at the moment.
And to add to the turmoil we draw PSG . Great just great.

Ed, is there any interest in Kieran Tierney or is that just Scottish pub talk?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - There's always interest in KT but the Club don't want to sell and the lad has no intentions of leaving Celtic for long time yet.}

Cheers Ed 00Henrik!

Can see KT staying a long time but hope he makes the jump at some point to a club like Utd. Anything less wouldn't tempt him I imagine.

{Ed007's Note - If (probably when) he leaves it'll be a footballing decision rather than money and I know he does have a soft spot for Utd and don't think he would fancy being too far from his family and friends.}

Good morning ed002
Have Utd shown any interest in defender Ozan Kabak?
Thanks for your time.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Ozan Kabak is a young centre back who has signed a new contract with Galatasaray so any immediate move is unlikely - and to boost his value - but much is expected of Kabak and he has attracted scouts from Manchester City, RB Leipzig, Arsenal, Fortuna Dusseldorf, Manchester United and, in particular, Inter Milan whose interest (together with Manchester City) led to the new contract. Should stay where he is or look to Germany - otherwise he would be lost at any English side.}
